Citymapper Integration

I use citymapper more than i use google maps.. You should set up an app that connects to the app on the phone and vibrates and shows an arrow when you need to turn/ gives you a list of directions/ shows you a little map.

It would be way more useful and you arent stuck with either google or apple to get people to use it. It would be your more popular map app i think.

Thanks for sharing this suggestion. Our web API and smartwatch SDK are open which means that the service you are wanting can actually integrate with Fitbit. We’d encourage you to make this suggestion to the service and direct them to our existing API and SDK and resources such as the web dev API community. You will likely be able to email them via their contact us page or customer support, or they may have their own ideas board like this. Or encourage them to reach out to Fitbit directly. Thanks for your participation in the Feature Suggestion forums, we look forward to making Fitbit more useful for you.

First Steps

last comment out of 2020 ...  Now with  Fitbit Charge 6 having a sort of Google Maps integrated, I'm missing a first step to really use wrist navigation.  For hiking and biking.

What about

  • instead of just displaying the next turn to make
  • use the already build in vibration mode and turn on the display
  • when e.g. approaching the next crossing in about 100 meters for biking  or  20 meters for hiking

Didn't found such a feature in amongst the secrets of the app or device.  In case already available, please post 🙏.

Effort wise shouldn't be rocket size,  feature wise it makes Google Maps really useful for biking and hiking.
