I just tried creating a group thinking it would be public and was disappointed to realize it was a closed group. My goal was to make friends and have the support/interest I was hoping for in like-minded individuals. I don't have friends to create closed groups. There are only a small amount of groups to choose from and none of them are what I was hoping for. I think this would be a great addition to the Fitbit community section!
I would like to see an open group for those who are taking Lizard Spit (Ozempic and similar glutides). It seems to be a popular topic in the diabetes and weight loss groups
It's ridiculous that Fitbit hasn't added this very basic feature. I want to make a group for the employees where I work and just share it via a direct link. Facebook has had this capability for years. I guess we'll be utilizing some other app.
I also favor this. This would provide the ability to have smaller group feeds and post for a smaller sized community or region. I will not join some of these larger ones because I really don't care to see posts from 2.3 million people. Lol. Strava has this capability. And it's used quite often to find like minded fitness connections.
I haven't had a Fitbit since 2016. I just got a new one and they closed all the groups. I enjoyed competing in the monthly leaderboard and it motivated me to take more steps. I dont think people care to see posts, we want to see everyone's steps. #fitbitfail
Hi @SunsetRunner, thanks for sharing this suggestion about being able to create your own open groups on the Community Feed with us. This idea was already requested in the Feature Suggestions board, so I’ve moved your post here. This will help us to make sure the suggestions don't get confused, or split a popular vote.
