I have Fitbit Surge and the option for notification works pretty poor as the messages in Cyryllic are not shown as they should be, they are show in squares.
Moderator edit: updated subject for clarity and labels.
No one is asking to translate the interface or software... Just add cyrilic support for notifications. No one would recommend fitbit to anyone due to notification unusability.
Yeah, I had Fitbit Alta since it's release and have already posted in this thread long time ago. Still no cyrillic characters suport and notifications are useles. Now I am selling Alta and getting new Apple Watch 2.
@ElTeeJOT because it's on the 6th page of the feature requests, so its priority is kind of... low. 🙂
As you can see from the country selector https://www.fitbit.com/nl/countries , Fitbit is officially available in mostly "latin" speaking countries (even for Scandinavian countries the web site is in English).
I'd say, that the correct form for the feature request would be "Please, come to the Eastern Europe", but I guess, that eastern european markets are too tiny if compared to the western europe / americas, so I don't expect a solution for this feature request any time soon.
@akobiakov Yeah, it looks like the Eastern Europien market is pretty tiny over the whole background.... Thank you! I even didn't suspect that it doesn't support Cyrillic in the notifications. Had to check before buying Fitbit Alta. I will probably look for another product.
Ok I'm not original but I paid for a device that supports notifications but not in my native Greek language.. I join the thousands who ask for multilingual support, piece of cake for a device that costs 200+ euros in Greek market...
I have a Fitbit Blaze and I love that there's new compatibility for emojis, so now it isn't a series of boxes next to a contact's name, or within a message. A lot of my family members however have their names in Persian in my phone and when I receive a notification on my Blaze when they text me, it's just boxes. I would love to be able to have Persian compatibility so that I could see which of my family members are texting me. It would be wonderful!
i love my Blaze it's awesome very intutive, however not supporting a famous language like Arabic is a huge drawback,, i personally prefer English on the watch however if i get a call or a notficiation it's ugly i only get squares So adding arabic support ( Not full translation to everything ) seems only fare considering the languages that has been added
It would be nice to see notifications from my friends/family who send messages in East Asian langauges to not show up as little squares on my Blaze.
It would be even nicer if I didn't have to change the "location" of my settings to an Asian country that I'm not actually in, just so that I can read the messages on my Blaze. Plus I still prefer seeing the English interface.
I am very upset. As well as the fact that the system does not support Arabic. Updates are too late. Some of my friends have version 8.200.4 in blaze I have versions 8.200.3 but u are taking about version 17.301.7 on ur website I contact with ur twitter account abut the update from a week thay just saying u have to wait Many Arabs use the Fitbit products and unfair not to support the Arabic language and distribute updates by country. I can not read any message on my watch it appear on my watch just ????
I really loved Fitbit products but now I thinking to change all Fitbit products to any company support my language and Respect me and treat all users equally I don't have to Wasting money on something I can not take advantage of its features or a company does not respect me
I bought it but I didn't wear it because it's not supporting Arabic language. Am using now Samsung watches and Moto 360 because they supporting Arabic and also they are fitness watches. Fitbit company, take care about your Arab customers or you will lose them.
I am a new member in fitbit community since I've just became a happy owner of a Blaze!
I just need to complain about one issue:
I think it's necessary to add in fitbit app all languages the can someone find in a smartphone such as 'Greek' for my case. For example in auto location fitbit understand United States. manually I can only choose 'Europe'. No countries such as Greece can be found there.
But for me this is not the biggest problem.
The most important and 'absolutely' necessary is the supported fonts in notifications/calls/emails.
It's very sad that cannot read Greek language in the fitbit Blaze. (The same of course for any other unsupported language)
I don't believe it's so difficult to add some extra fonts/languages in your database. The more fonts/languages you add the most sales you'll get!!!
P.S: I don't think you want for us (as 'happy' customers) to reply in the
Quastion: ' Do you like your new Blaze? '
Answer: ' Look, It's a very nice watch everything is so cool I love it but ......... you cannot read neither the notifications nor the mails nor the calls when they are in greek (arabic,korean,etc...) language. In other words the notifications are 50% useless.
