@SunriseRun1250, no that's not the problem but i live in holland and a lot of dutch products are not listed in the fitbit App. So that's why...
Sorry, my sarcasm was misworded. What I meant was decimals should be a
no-brainer and should always be there. Why should it have to be requested?

Fitbit, when you update mobile app with decimal point?

Hmm, when I see Trump I understand why here is no decimal point. Too many moving things indeed.

I would like to enter decimal point for my custom foods in the Fitbit app on Android.

I vote for fixing the issue with entering decimal points too, this really messes up accuracy when adding custom foods right now (because the dB is pretty crap - I mean "geared towards certain countries, and unusable for many European users").

A note option in the app or dashboard on computer is interesting too indeed, but don't let that postpone fixing the decimals issue please 🙂

Stunned to find that a basic numerical keyboard function doesn't work in an android app!  The whole point of having a Fitbit is to monitor food, exercise etc to improve your health.  The fact that the decimal point doesn't work unless you are logged onto the full website is, quite frankly, shameful.  How can a software writer let something so fundamental to accurate data recording not work?  Worse still, this has been a known issue for at least 2 years, repeatably raised by users.  Fitbit need to resolve this quickly or I will look for a more reliable alternative.

Same problem here. Can't scan barcode, can't use decimals. Fix that bug in your program. Can't be that hard!!!!!

Reading 2 years of this problem on here. I have just bought a fitbit and cannot log the decimal point when adding custom foods on the android app. Using Samsung Galaxy S5 very rarely use a PC/laptop. Please advise how to get round this or fix this bug as all my food monitoring is wrong and whats the point in that! Thank you

As mentioned, the ability to use a decimal point shouldn't really have to be voted for as a feature! Basic worldwide numerical notation at work here, nothing more.

It's a shame that the software doesn't match the feature set of the Charge 2.

When you add custom foods on the fitbit app, you can not use decimals on the 'Calories' and 'Calories from Fat' fields. It seems to be the same issue that is described here. This 'feature' seems basic and an important addition for the custom food functionality, as nutritional labels may contain decimal values.

Not really worth adding information to a database if it's not going to be
accurate. Yet another thing I'll have to use a computer for, instead of the
convenience of the app.

We absolutely need decimals, for the app, and not just the web version of the food log! It's ridiculous having to round up / down the figures printed on nutritional labels. Proportion-wise, '1.4 g' is a long way from being '1 g'.

Also, even on the web version, decimals can be problematic. I've seen a lot of nutritional labels that show information not 'per serving size' but 'per 100 g'. So on the web version I have add an appropriate serving size, and calculate the number of calories for that serving size. More often than not, the number of calories is a decimal... which even the web version does not allow. Please fix this!

This is incredibly annoying. All food labels use decimals, so if this is going to be even close to accurate, it needs decimals too. This bug is causing me to use MyFitnessPal instead of your app for the time being (they also have a much better international food database).

I would like to be able to enter decimal values for portion size when entering food consumption.  This would greatly improve accuracy of calorie tracking.

e.g. 2.2oz, 1.602oz, etc (not limited to ounces)

Since the update in the beginning of April 2020 I am not able to add the decimal point to custom foods on the app. This is very inconvenient since some foods have for example 0,5g of fat. Tried logging through the website, but even though I enter decimals, they are not saved. It is therefore not possible to make decimals on the phone app or website

I am using the FitBit app on an iPhone, and I would like an option to manually type in the amount of food I consume rather than have to use the wheel-like input style. To compensate for the lack of fractional input, decimals can be typed in.

PLEASE allow us to add in decimals for grams (instead of 2 grams of saturated fat, I'd like to be able to log 1.32 if that's the actual number) and vitamin/mineral information in the food tracker since there's already a section for this that's just always empty.
