Don't remove Challenges & Adventures

Do not remove Challenges & Adventures! A lot us use these features to motivate us and connect. My kids are able to connect and do challenges with their friends too.

Do you know of any other application that we can all meet together and still do the challenges? I have an apple watch but still love being in challenges with my walk buddies. I hope they change their minds.

Maybe we can start challenges on the apple watch. I have one

I literally just bought a new Fitbit to replace a lost one and the ONLY reason I bought another rather than a different brand is for the challenges with my friends. If you take away this feature I will be returning the new device and buying a different brand. You will be killing the only feature that makes your devices a meaningful accountability and community building tool. Without that there'd be no point in me keeping it.

Like the others above, for me, Challenges connects me to friends and motivates me to move.  I've lost a lot of weight and built up my self-esteem through these fun challenges with friends and colleagues.  I recently had my first Fitbit die (of course, after the warranty). Still, I replaced my old Fitbit with a new one instead of getting an Apple Watch (which has more features and also will link to other apps I use so I won’t need to carry my phone). Now after upgrading and dropping a lot of money on a new Fitbit, they want to get rid of the best features!  You have over a million users, why didn't you ask us about this before you decided to make this change?  Please, don't just send us an email with marketing-speak saying you're improving things - listen to your community.

Someone said there are challenges on Garmin so I’ll be going there. No apple because I don’t want to charge everyday and the sleep tracking is bad. I can’t believe Fitbit would take away the one feature that helps with motivation! There have been many times I’ve been upset with glitches and thought of going to Garmin earlier, but didn’t because of my friends and challenges.

I’ve had a Fitbit since 2011.

It's short sighted and ill thought out.

Challenges were my primary driver for purchasing premium.

I'll certainly not be renewing premium - can anyone suggest a good tech alternative?

This removal of Challenges and Trophies is not what we the "FitBit" community want!

Every day we do the daily challenges, weekly challenges and weekend challenges.  It is fun and entertaining!

It keeps our group connected and engaged. If this feature is removed, then Fitbit becomes just a watch to measure my steps.

Focusing on just me. No friends or family to compete against for steps.

FitBit you are missing the point!!!  We enjoy FitBit over Apple and the other competitors.

Please don't remove this feature.  TT__TT

The challenges feature is the ONLY reason I have a fitbit. It keeps me active daily and provides the social aspect. They leaderboard is just a weekly thing that I delete from my email without opening because it is pointless. I will sell my fitbit after this "update" and finally switch to apple.

Please do not discontinue. This is the only mechanism in the application to motivate friends and family.

I see I'm not the only one who's disappointed and surprised to learn that the Challenges feature will be going away. I've been doing the weekly challenges for several years with a group of people I have never met. Not sure how we all got connected! But it has been a wonderful way to motivate myself--there have definitely been times when I got myself out the door because of the challenge. And, even though we don't all know each other, the group is incredibly supportive and encouraging of each other. I don't understand why you would drop such an important feature, and I hope you'll reconsider after seeing how important it is to users. The challenge is the single reason I got a new Fitbit instead of switching over to just using a Garmin, and without that, I definitely won't be getting another FitBit.

Out of all of the stupid stuff Fitbit has done recently, this takes the cake, this is such a misguided and lame decision. Challenges are one of the most fun parts of being a Fitbit user.

Here is a suggesting for a feature, keep the features that work and are appreciated by your community.

This is the reason I still use the fitbit rather then the Apple watch my friend gave me. My son and I compete all the time. It's a great way to connect with your kids in a healthy activity. I just days ago bought a fit bit for my younger son so he can compete as well. He is going to be so disappointed if he can't play the challenges too. I also play with my friends that don't live near by.

I honestly think this is just Google trying to slowly drive people away from fitbit so they can discontinue the watches all together. They've already removed 3rd party apps from the Versa 4 saying that's what the customers wanted (who would ever want that!?!) and completely disconnected the Versa 3. Ever since Google bought Fitbit its been going downhill and this just shows again how much they really don't care about or seem to listen to the fitbit community.

Please don't remove the challenges feature. It is the reason why so many of us kept up with fitbit over the years and got our friends to join! Challenges integrated our real life and social aspect with what otherwise would be boring workouts by ourselves. It's unfathomable that fitbit had such success with the challenges features and now want to get rid of it. Don't do it!!

I've been using a Fitbit for years, and it wasn't until I discovered the challenges and adventures that I was able to consistently stay motivated and push myself to reach—and exceed—my goals. I rely on my friends, our daily challenges, our Valley Loops and Pohono Trails, and of course, Get Fit Bingo for support and motivation every day. I bought a Charge 5 a month ago instead of an Apple Watch precisely because I enjoy these features so much.

Now Fitbit has unilaterally, with no input from the community, decided to suddenly discontinue these features, many's people enjoyment will be affected and, I suspect, they will find it much more challenging to reach their fitness goals. For everyone, but especially those exercising on their own instead of in a team, challenges and adventures are an integral part of the Fitbit experience.

Please reconsider, Fitbit.

I KNEW after reading the email announcing the discontinuation of Challenges / Badges & Trophies / Groups that I would find threads here with comments about why this is not a sound move for the FitBit community or for business growth.
I have been a member since 2015 and continue to step in Challenges with SO many of the same friends from 2015. We have WWH & Goal Day groups, we chat, we keep up with one another!  It’s motivating and FUN!  It’s the primary reason of staying with FitBit and not purchasing that very alluring Apple Watch!
Please don’t remove the Challenges to include tge Premium Challenges.
Tearing down what your Community loves most will only serve to lose customers.
I also hope you don’t start charging to continue being able to participate in Challenges.

How dare they remove the number one feature that made me purchase another Fitbit rather than an Apple Watch! The challenges are a truly innovative and fun feature that really pushes me to get out and move. Fitbit will lose my business immediately if they sunset the best part of being a Premium subscriber. I cannot possibly understand why they believe this will benefit the community in any way.

Seriously?  The challenges and adventures are the only reason I didn’t go to the Apple Watch!  Since google took over, it seems they really want to do away with Fitbit. Why else would they take something great and dismantle it but by bit until everyone leaves?

Totally agree - I use this every day/week with friends and family around the world.

Without it I might as well get a cheap device.

Definitely bingo and goal day challenges.  I too use them daily.

Imagine this... it's April 2023, I log into the fitbit app to see if my brother passed me in steps. He hasn't!
Keep the challenges. A large number of fitbit users stay with fitbit solely for the challenges.

I cannot believe you are considering getting rid of challenges and trophies. These are small things that add up to huge fitness goals for many. Now I am regretting my recent change to fitbit luxe, and will stop purchasing from fitbit in the future.

I'm done with Fitbit after this. Between Apple and Garmin, I will be able to get the features I need.

The only reason I purchased a new FitBit and continue to wear as opposed to my Garmin are the challenges. I’ve had a FitBit for many years and purchased multiple upgrades. My kids all have FitBits so we can do challenges together.
