Do not remove Challenges & Adventures! A lot us use these features to motivate us and connect. My kids are able to connect and do challenges with their friends too.
I can't believe Fitbit is dropping the challenges. That is the number one thing that keeps me motivated on a weekly basis. I don't see the reason to keep Fitbit if I don't have the challenges. I guess it's time to go fitness watch shopping! Google is destroying Fitbit.
I used my Charge 2 for years and just purchased a new Charge 5 as a replacement, but will definitely be returning the watch if news doesn’t change in a week and will look into getting a Garmin instead.
My family and I all have different phones (iPhone, google, Samsung) but we opted not to get the smart watch that goes with our phone in favor of a Fitbit for the family challenges. I bought my 3 sons fitbits for Christmas for challenges. I have been Fitbit for 8 years and am on my 4th watch. Without challenges I will absolutely go with applewatch.
This is terrible! This is the whole reason that I have a Fitbit! Any smartwatch can tell me my steps, calorie burn, sleep statistics. The reason I consistently course to buy a new Fitbit is because of the community aspect. I love the challenges, making new fitness buddies who keep me accountable, who I interact with daily and motivated me to move. And bingo! You get the addictive stupid phone game with the benefit of it being based off of your fitness activity! It's the whole reason that I got premium because the fact that you can't use the fitness videos on anything other than mobile devices is a complete deal breaker. 1st, cancelling premium, 2nd looking for a new fitness tracker that will keep motivating me. Terrible move, Google!! Please don't do this. Loyal user (and vehement proponent of purchasing a Fitbit to friends). Really sad!!!!
I am a die hard Fitbit fan! why the change? I have family all over the place along with friends. Some of them I haven't met but have conversed with over the years... since 2012, wowsa I don't want to look for a new company to buy/deal with. What are you going to do Google to keep the business going? why get rid of something we all like/love?
I do not understand why Fitbit would remove Challenges and Adventures, this makes no sense. I have been a Fitbit user since 2015 and this feature was one of the things that urged me to challenge myself to do more. I do challenges every work week and love doing them. I haven't purchased the Samsung watch, because of this feature. What is Fitbit going to add in its place? Add new Challenges to entice more users to join Fitbit as Fitbit is known for these features, and I got other people to join due to these features.
The ONLY reason I have not gotten an Apple Watch is because I have created a community of friends who complete in challenges for years and years. I've probably gained sales on fit bits for you because I tell this to my friends when they are choosing between the watches. This sucks and you are silly for doing it.
Keep the challenges! It is what brings my family and friends together. It's what I love so much about fitbit. Why would you take away a feature that let's your customers connect and encourage each other.
Challenges were the key feature that prompted me to get Premium. More importantly those silly little challenges provide the motivation to consistently exercise when I see how I'm doing in a challenge compared to the small group of friends I participate with in challenges. Comparison with my friends and the motivation that provides is THE PRIMARY reason I choose Premium and largely Fitbit. If I lose that capability then I'll be much more inclined to buy a different health tracker / smart watch device in the future that coordinates either better from that perspective or other perspectives to my cycling, hiking, fitness / readiness levels, and overall healthy activity motivation.
For the last 8 years our family (located all over the US) have held challenges within the FITBIT system. It is our way of lifting each other up and holding each accountable to staying healthy. Several of us upgraded to premium and are using all those features to take our fitness walk a little further. The challenges is why we turn to Fitbit every day. Removing this feature makes your product less desirable which opens the door for our family to find another product that will provide what we are looking for. It is our request you keep the challenges.
Thank you for the opportunity to strive to be more active and healthy over the years, we are hoping you will reconsider this decision.
I, like many others am extremely disappointed that the challenges are about to be scrapped. This was one of the main reasons for purchasing Fitbit over the last few years, I enjoy them, it’s great to be in competition with my friends and family, and it gives me the motivation to get out walking! I really hope you reconsider your decision and keep them!
The challenges are the primary reason I chose Fitbit over another tracker. I participate in challenges every week and they are hugely motivating! I don't understand why Fitbit would send a communication saying they are improving our experience without announcing any actual upgrades, but just the removal of the best features make no sense. The challenges part of Fitbit.
I'm very disappointed in the deciding to remove challenges. It's something that helps keep me active and challenges me to compete with friends. I can't imagine not being able to have friendly competition through challenges on my Fitbit. Please reconsider!
Look at what Google does with all the other products they've launched or acquired, there is a website dedicated to all the killed off google products, I wouldn't hold my breath that they'll listen or even care.
I have been using Fitbit since 2017 and have been paying for Premium. The challenges are the only reason I have stayed with Fitbit instead of moving to Apple Watch. My friends and I compete all week and on weekends. It's a way we stay in touch and motivated together. When their Fitbits have died, the only reason they have bought another one instead of moving to competitors is to stay in our challenges.
I don't feel we are being treated as valued customers, and the tone of the email you sent out left a great deal to be desired. While I don't envy the job of your social media people, the cut-and-paste response on social media to our concerns has been disappointing and trite.
I have canceled my premium. Perhaps, if you reconsider this really poor decision, I will resubscribe.
I only have the Fitbit Premium feature so that I can start premium challenges for me and all my friends, who are all over the world. We stay connected through these challenges. If Fitbit does remove the challenges, I will definitely no longer pay for a premium subscription!
