Do not remove Challenges & Adventures! A lot us use these features to motivate us and connect. My kids are able to connect and do challenges with their friends too.
I, along with about 20 of my Fitbit friends, will be replacing my Fitbit products with Samsung and Apple products. The watches and the scales. There is no reason to have the Fitbit without the challenges. It is the only feature that made it worth having Fitbit over the other fitness watches.
If you are going to remove challenges would you at least consider replacing it promptly with something that allows users to participate with friends & family. I knew the change was coming however to be replaced with nothing is not why I chose Fitbit over the Apple Watch.
Loved the shame on you Fitbit comment 🤩🤩🤩. I am dog paddling my way through stridekicks... I've had to open 5 different accounts to accomodate all of the challenges that I overlook. New things and I are NOT Bffs .... It a real struggle ...
It's curious that Google bought out Fitbit, and now their (Google's) stridekicks app is getting overwhelmed because they are not able to keep up with the number of people who are forced to migrate over.. is Google now going to change those challenges too??? 😳🙄🙄🙄
Gird Up.... Fitbit and google stopped caring about us a long time ago.... Their interest was always about money... Not their loyal customers or promoting fitness ... It's just now that I'm realizing that 🙄. It makes me really sad that Such a great idea of developing and fostering a fitness community, has been flushed away in a single blink of an eye ...
I received a fitbit for xmas. I have enjoyed the challenges and never stopped using them. Thiesr have been the best motivational tool for me, my friends and family members. PLEASE put them back on. Tks
The insult to injury after the removal … I am still getting notifications of who I’ve passed up and who I am behind. As if the challenges still existed. Google/Fitbit I hope you end up reconsidering.
I agree with this comment. Without the challenges, my tracker is useless. I have purchased more than 15 Fitbit trackers for myself, friends, and family members. We only use the tracker to do work week and weekend challenges with each other. Please bring the challenges back!!
FitBit group Challenges are the main advantage/motivation instead of any other generic fitness tracker. What does FitBit offer in replacement? A cheap generic fitness tracker can do all the features… guess you just lost 😞 a huge number of participants/subscribers that are now going to the Stridekick.com app.
:hundred_points: agree with this!! I have been involved in a group of weekly tracker challenges with the same people for over FIVE YEARS!! We keep up with each other and push each other with this feature. I have bought friends and relatives Fitbits so they could join in. LITERALLY took mine off today and will not be wearing it ever again if this isn’t reinstalled or replaced with something comparable (so I can keep in touch with these friends far and wide on a daily basis via the app challenges!). So very disappointed in you Fitbit
I started my fitness quest with a Body Media upper armband. It measured thousands of metabolic functions every hour and was by far THE best insight into my health I’ve ever had. Than another, competing company bought them. Kept their website up for a while before shutting it down. Gone was all the vitally important insight. Then the other company was bought by Fitbit, who promptly shut it down. Dust collected on the Body Media band (had no value any longer) and the replacement (can’t remember the name). Now the same thing has happened again, not too long after Google bought Fitbit. No good ever comes from these types of acquisitions, until now. My eyes have opened. I will NEVER buy another fitbit and will probably not allow my Sense to live out it’s useful life. I’ve found watch freedom! With Stridekick, I can now buy a Samsung (preferred), Apple watch, Garmin, and probably others. No longer locked into a particular watch, I’m ready to start exploring the smart watch market. In the end, after I’m no longer pissed off, I know I’ll be much happier! Just sayin’ . . .
I cannot figure out how the group challenge works witht he new change. Is there a challenge that actually shows up somewhere from the group I have created?
Completely agree. I used the challenges as a way to add fun to my exercise and try to do better than friends. Now I have no need to pay for Premium or really to even have the app on my phone. Maybe next I will move away from Fit Bit considering they discontinue the best part in my opinion!
Fitbit obviously does not care how many users they lose. And tbh it’s too late to keep me as a loyal user. I’ll keep the free app til this Fitbit dies or until I sell it, and then I’ll move onto Apple Watch. Fitbit gets no more of my money ever again! I’ll just use Stridekick for now if I can convince my fitness friends to download the app.
Yes but I thought we could create our own private group and have a challenge but maybe it's just a chat group???Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone
