Do not remove Challenges & Adventures! A lot us use these features to motivate us and connect. My kids are able to connect and do challenges with their friends too.
Moderator Edit: Clarified subject
This is needed because:
Fitbit seems to be marching towards isolation fitness rather than community fitness, and it takes a community to motivate an individual to be fit. Virtual competition with many people will bring more active users if you improve on and iterate rather than scrap and start from scratch.
I think Map My Ride allows one to "friend" other members. It does multiple different exercises. Running, walking, cycling, etc. And, it's not glitchy. One does need to start exercises from the app. It doesn't connect with FitBit. Not sure what all it does connect with.
i feel like if they had something they were going to give us, they wouldn't be so silent... their silence tells me they got nothin'. I have to believe that if there were something coming down the pipes they'd be advertising it better.
I agree. Once my current Fitbit goes, I’m getting an apple watch. The challenges were the only reason I haven’t before now. I didn’t want to lose doing those with my family so now they it doesn’t matter, I’m out. We tried the Stridekick app and it sucks so I might as well go get the watch I want since they took away the one thing that kept me wanting to use fitbit. The rest of my family is planning to follow suit.
We as loyal Fitbit users had requested for better Group and Solo Challenges, and the result was the removal of them. If you removed the challenges, than please create something better and soon!
One of the greatest features of Fitbit is the way it engages people with other people through motivational tools like the challenges. Take that away and the Fitbit cuts the vital connection with others that it so such a powerful motivator. It was the reason I chose to buy a Fitbit over other fitness trackers. Without challenges with other Fitbit users, Fitbit is just like all the other trackers. I'm very disappointed in you Google. You didn't even replace it with another interactive option to workout with others.
