Edit Time of Daily Reset of Stats / Add Nightshift

Hi, It would be great if users could change the daily reset of stats to a different hour. We night owls who go sleep late after midnight now have to calculate the differences in our heads and that's not ideal. Thanks!

It's a shame we can't set the daily activity like we can set the daily alarm as you can have multiples of alarms . So say set a time for the day with an option to set the length of time of activity instead. Yes shift would be split but that would work round their restart time of midnight, but each day could be independently tracked, eg, monday 20:00hrs-23:59hrs
Tuesday 00:00hrs-08:00hrs
20:00hrs-23:59hrs
Wednesday 00:00hrs-08:00hrs
Thursday 06:30hrs-19:00hrs

I agree we need granular controls for day/time for the new activity feature.

I currently have a 1 hour commute both ways from 6:15am-7:25am and from 4:30-5:45pm, but I am often active at night after getting home doing workouts.  I would love to be able to set my activity tracking hours to exclude my commute times, but inlcude the times I am actually moving around.

Also, the ability to set weekday vs weekend hours would be extremely useful for A LOT of people I'm sure.

Allow a setting choice to track you day starting when you tracker ends your sleep time to the time your sleep tI me begins. I have a Charge HR and love it, but I work nights. When midnight hits everything clears out for the start of the new day but I am in the middle of my day. This makes it very difficult for me to track calorie intake vs energy output.

Lots of people work non-traditional hours. Id like to see an option on the charge hr to change your "days" to fit your schedule. I work 7pm to 7am, so my full day is actually broken into two days on my tracker. If i could select the time for my "day" to start, it would reflect my steps per day much better.

I agree I'm a shift worker.. when i was on rest days I hit my goal of 9... yay.. (ok not everyday)..however when I change my time windows when working a night shift.. for when i wake up onwards..It then changes all my previous ones to those hours! Therfore not hitting my previous days goals!
Can these goals not be specified by us the user on the day?

I work night shift every other week and as the hourly activity feature currently stands, I am sleeping part of any time period I'm able to choose and miss out on hours where I am active by having to choose either the first or last part of the day.

I agree! I would like noon to noon or 7am to 7am! Nights for 15 years here. I mentioned it to Fitbit a couple years ago and they said it was in the works and all these updates but still nothing!

I agree 100%. I am on nights too and it makes it very difficult to manage everything trying to split one day between two calendar days.

Totally agree! I work grave yards with numerous people and we all dislike that halfway through our shift it resets! Very frustrating! How would all you normal hours people like a reset at noon????

Please make this more accessible for night shift employees.  I work a floating night shift, 3 p.m. to 2 a.m., then three days 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. and I want my Fitbit results to be accurate.  Everything should reset whenever I wake up in the morning.

Please add this feature so that I will not have to switch to a brand that can do this.

I work in the restaurant industry and my day is never over at midnight... All my walking after midnight is counted on the next day. Is there anyways to change the automatic midnight reset? If not, this is defiantly a feature that needs to be addressed

Hi I work graveyard shift from 7p-7a and would love to be able to set my times up so it doesn't reset at midnight. Please fix this! Thanks!

please fix the Fitbit so we can adjust times for graveyard shift workers. It's frustrating to have everything reset at midnight when you are only halfway through your day. Please fix this!

It wants me to add more to this message before it will post but I think I've added the appropriate amount. This is frustrating too!

I think it would be super beneficial to law enforcement officers like myself, as well as nurses on this forum if the night shift option was available.

I work from 1800-0600hrs on a rotating schedule. My Fitbit is linked to myfitnesspal and at the end of the night, 2359hrs it rolls my cardio and excretera over.

Now this is not a major issue, but in preparing for a physique competition it is very inconvenient to have an inconsistent number for my actual burned calories a day imported from Fitbit to myfitnesspal.

I think this is a no brainier update seeing that there are already 10 pages of paying customers that have asked for the simple request like myself. It takes no rocket scientist to see that if a night shift friendly fitness tracker is released, these paying customers might start filling someone else's pockets.

I have played around with all of the time zones and hourly tracking. It is
all nonsense. I have MFP as well and have started to track my food a day
ahead, so when I wake up on Tuesday @1400 it gets logged on Wednesday, not
the greatest of fixes but has helped some with the transferring of stats to
MFP. The numbers are closer considering most of my actual active hours are
after midnight, I hit the gym on my lunch @0130 and go to the gym @1000, so
it works for logging workouts, just not stairs climbed, steps taken, etc.
This needs to be cleaner. Maybe the data transfer from Fitbit to other apps
would get screwed up if they had a reset time of different times? I dunno
just grasping at straws.

I to work overnight 8pm-6am to be exact . It's frustrating that I miss badges and advancing because I can't set my Alta to MY daily schedule. Just as an example I'm literally just getting home from work now and my Fitbit says yesterday (i.e. 7pm-12am) once I started moving for work I walked 19,204 steps. This morning while I was still at work (I.e midnight-6am) I walked another 13,233 steps giving me a total of 32,227 steps during what is technically my daily scheduled. Because I can't program it to my typical day I have to add my steps up from the 2 days myself as well as not earn the badges and things I could earn if I could personalize my Fitbit to fit my lifestyle .

Ok Fitbit it seems you have a lot of unhappy customers. Are you ever going to respond or actually fix the issue??

I am a shift worker so I work anywhere between 7am and 7am which means I sleep at different times of the day throughout the week sometimes having short turn around between shifts. All I want is for my counters to continue past midnight then reset when I sleep. Simple. Every time I go to sleep my counters reset. Surely that would be a normal way to do things. Unfortunately not everyone has normal 9am-5pm jobs. Think about us night/shift workers.

Also a night shift nurse and lose all data at midnight. I have the charge hr and it gives you the option to set the time you want to track steps (5-14hours) but it won't let me do 7pm-7am shift. Very irritating!
