Emergency Contact Button or SOS Call (or sound)

As a woman, walking, running and biking alone can be dangerous. Is it possible to have an emergency alert button that shows the contact of my choice or the authorities a location and SOS signal? The Gear 2 has it in place and I loved it. You push a button 3 times to send the alert.

This feature should be super simple, there should be a button on the ace that you can press and it will automatically send an SOS to your parent/guardian

The watch to have capabilities to call for assistance without phone nearby.

I love this idea!

I would like to have the option to not just call 911 but to call my personal emergency contact which I would be able to designate myself.

Or even a button to send an automated text to that contact with a message I can pre-write in advance.

Hi Davide, thank you for your response. It seems the conversation where you moved my post, has been in circulation since 2017. I can only see posts where people have suggested this similar feature. By any chance do you have a more recent/official Fitbit issed update regarding this feature? Kind regards.

Okay, hear me out! Most people who use Fitbit are women. As a woman, it can be scary to go exercising outdoors by yourself. I think both Fitbit and the community can benefit from having some kind of emergency button/alert on the watch itself. With the GPS location and ability to accept/decline calls: Fitbit should install an emergency feature!

The competition's recent commercials - along with the fact that this community has been asking for this for 4+ years - should really move this to the top of the Fitbit developer team's list. I must say, I'm an Android user who has always loved her Fitbits but the sense of comfort that would come from this update - or converting to the competitor's product - would be unmatched.

Need for a Fitbit running setting where your location is automatically sent to contact(s) in your Fitbit. If you press an emergency button it automatically sends them a message and calls them.

Ideally it would be linked to 999 as well for quick life threatening response.

I love this idea and wish the Versa 2 had this capability.  It is scary sometimes being a young women running or walking alone.  Knowing that I can alert my husband something is seriously wrong from my watch (incase something happened to my phone, I.e. smashed)  would be a game changer or even alerting police and sending my last known location would make me feel even more safe.

I'm waiting for Fitbit to incorporate an emergency alert button into its watches. Apple watches have this capability. When will Fitbit catch up with them?

So on Wednesday I had a few friends on the M3 when they were in a horrible accident and could not call 999 after a lorry tipped over on there car it took them an hour for 999 to actually be called so my idea is they can call 999 from there watch by pressing the home button repeatedly and then an alarm would come with it showing 999 there location
