Fitbit Journal - Notes on the Fitbit app

How about a space in the app for a daily note. I would like to be able to leave a note on the daily results page. So that if results are high or low I would know why when looking back. IE: was I sick so my daily results were very low or were they extra good and for what reason? In sure folks would have lots of reasons to look back at results and would want to know what was what at that time. Ted

Add me to the list of users who really would love notes.  If Fitbit really is about tracking health and fitness than we need to be able to track basic health as well.
It could be as simple as allowing a note, or even better advanced options to track health conditions.
Perhaps being able to rate on a 1 to 10 how we feel on a day.

this way when we are looking back we can more easily correlate days with little/no activity with the reason WHY.

Even the MFP apps allow you to enter notes on Food or Activity.  While that is a good starting point, allowing a general note for the day would be even better.

Please add functionality to write notes for each event. I like to know why I slept better or who I played with on a given day.

After a workout I'm able to write about some of my subject thoughts on the workout (route I ran, thoughts on certain aches and pains, how I was feeling, etc) on other programs (Runtastic is the one I was previously using).  As a long time runner and former bicycle racer I found this to be an imortant feature when assessing the effectiveness of a performance plan and/or figuring out where it worked or didn't.

I can't imagine (I'm not a code writer) that this feature would be very hard to add.

Thank you for listening.

I see a couple of comments that say adding notes is available on the "Journal" page of the dashboard, but I don't find that. I think beng able to add notes to any tile would be helpful.

On days where you aren't feeling well, tell fitbit so you can tell when you are just lazy or not feeling well! If you are feeling well, tell fitbit that so it encourages you to work harder that day opposed to a day where you are sick and your numbers suffer.

Wow! I really like this idea a lot. I can see myself taking advantage of this feature. This can help you to organize your sleep or nap.

Thanks for sharing this idea! 🙂

It would be very helpful to have the ability to insert notes on any part of the logging feature. For example, I would like to note what I dreamt or if I felt cold one night and see how it affects my sleep patterns. Another example could be cravings or weight loss due to sickness, pregnancy, menstral cycle, etc. Also maybe icons could be given to the user to choose their mood, and/or symptoms. Medication input could also be useful as well as a possible side effect look-up feature.

Agreed. Also to be able to have food and sleep patterns displayed on the same page, and a mood tracker related to both.

I totally love this idea! I think this can help users to know why they did so many steps that day or why they got a few steps.

Thank you for visiting the Feature Request board.

Fitbit can the "Add a note" feature on the Food Log be replicated for the Activities, Weight & Sleep Logs please.

Definitely, the ability to add notes that will later be able to help you make sense of patterns in steps, sleep, weight etc would be a huge advantage in the app!

I thank all who have been either posted support or 'liked' it. I entered this request last August and was hoping that by now they would have either enacted something or rejected it. However I've seen nothing from Fitbit.

I love the idea of mood tracking. Particularly with mental health being such a hot topic. Privacy would obviouly have to be considered, giving users the choice to share their 'mood' with friends or not.

Personally I would like to be able to look for patterns in diet and exercise and see if they correlate to mood changes.

I would love to have a place to log a note about my day on the app. It would compliment other features on the app. For example I get migraines and it will be great to make note of the days I get them so I can compare my sleep and eating in comparison to headache days. It could be used to track injuries, illness, emotional ups and downs, changes in medication, weather, any other things that impact days. This would be so helpful to me and keep it all together cohesively in one app.

In the management of physical health, sleep, physical or even mental conditions and simply in the aid of better managing exercise and work outs, it would be incredibly helpful to be able to add a note to certain points on the graph and/or the day to better recognise the certain behaviours or exercises that got the best heart rate etc or for those managing heart rate for physical or mental conditions, being able to add spot notes to what you were doing at that particular point to better recognise the behaviour or movement at the time and therefore much better manage the physical health goals and physical or mental conditions. Also in terms of sleep being able to add graph or day notes would allow better understanding to what contributes to their sleep personally (eg caffeine, stress, medication and time of day). It would be unbelievably helpful and I believe there would be many uses for this feature.
The goal of anyone using Fitbit is to improve their health and more understanding of what influences their goals, sleep, excercise, heart rate etc and having this feature developed would be for so many an absolute must have.

Still hoping for a journal opportunity for my moods, events that may influence my activity, blood pressure until you finally get that on the app, and other notes for any particular day

Thank you very much for your request. It seems like a very helpful way to register your findings or behavior through the graphs. I appreciate your post.

I would love this idea - I am trying to monitor and track the effect of things like alcohol, exercise, coffee, chocolate, etc on my sleep and need a place to add that to the sleep log.  Please add that feature!  With a sleep a quality around 50% I am desperate!

I love the idea of adding notes! I think a Note field on the Dashboard would make it so much easier to detect patterns in heartrate, sleep, activity, etc. Please implement as soon as you can!Smiley Happy

It would be good to be able to add a note to the dashboard each day. For instance if you have not managed to hit a target you can put in the note why and in a month's time when you are reviewing what you have achieved you will be able to see why you didn't hit it that day or how you managed to do so much and so on. On a personal level I have had a long term illness and the fitbit is really helping me get my fitness back most days I hit my target but on those days I am poorly I can't and it would be good for me to add a note so I can look back and compare where my fitness/recovery is at.

I think journaling would be a great idea.  I had sciatica for the past 2 weeks and I did not do much exercise as per doctor's orders and would like to make note of it.

Hello -

I would like to request that a comments section be added to the Activity section of the Dashboard, so that I can record details after my run, such as weather conditions, how I felt, etc. I used to do this when I had a running log.

I would love to have this feature to keep track of the exercises I completed that day.  It's important to me to keep track of what I did during my HIIT workouts, as well as number of rounds, etc.
