Fitbit Journal - Notes on the Fitbit app

How about a space in the app for a daily note. I would like to be able to leave a note on the daily results page. So that if results are high or low I would know why when looking back. IE: was I sick so my daily results were very low or were they extra good and for what reason? In sure folks would have lots of reasons to look back at results and would want to know what was what at that time. Ted

Yes, a note option for personal detail recording would be so helpful. That way I could note and analyze what is common to a good health day or a bad health day. Also someone said that he could record what muscle group he worked out that day.

Update: Actually I found a place for notes! Yay! I can make a note where I log food for the day. This works for me. Happy. 🙂

I completely agree with this. Consolidation is one of the things I value in a fitness app and it defeats the purpose when I have to track my workouts in a seperate place (generally with pen/paper). I want to be able to jot down what exactly I was doing when I input a "weights" activity and maybe even be more specific when my Charge HR auto-tracks a run I went on.

Hello! I think it would be nice to have an option where you can keep records of your information. Please keep sharing your ideas.

It would be GREAT if on the Fitbit app (I use iOS) there was a daily note or journal feature! And giving the option for tagging those entries and then to search for the tags to keep track of other things like medications or a health journal, etc.

Also, if there was a better way to see the exact times awake in the daily sleep view, I find the bars and the swiping hard to make function.

I want to add notes to the sleep tracking so I can keep track of things that would affect sleep such as alcohol or caffine consumed, time since food or exercise, etc.

Allison Fitbit admin: we want a place for a note on the app, not on our computer account.

I need a place to add notes about an exercise. Sometimes there is additional information that needs to be Recorded

Notes sections NEEDED on app!  There is a notes section for each of the meals for the day online. It doesn't make sense that you can't do it on the app, which is how MANY of us add our info...while we are out and about and while we are thinking about it.  Anywhere there's a Notes section online, it should be included in the app as well.

A notes option is a must! It would solve my frustration over not being able to log my blood sugars in the same app I log diet and exercise. I'm diabetic so the overall picture is important to me.
It would be great to be able to record personal notes about my days' activities. Weather could be noted (or better yet imported from a weather app), or how I was feeling on a particular day. That way I could tell if I slowed down because it was too hot, or raining, or if I was happy or tired on a particular day.

Please restore the journal function (as well as the HR and BP tracking tabs).

Hello!

I use things like essential oils and sleep hypnosis at bedtime and I often change my routine...it would be great if we could add a note for each night so that we can refer back to nights we had great or troubled sleep to help compare and determine why. The note would also be great for things like medicine taken/missed, sleep aids used, etc.

Thanks!

Jogging every morning is very important to me. It would be great to have a Journal that I could enter my daily times/splits to track them. Weather, temps, how I'm feeling are all things that would help me track how I'm doing over time.

Being able to write daily routines and general comments would only help us stay on our fitness quest.

This aside I'm very pleased with the site and the support from both the participants and Fitbit staff.

I  need a notes section on dashboard to keep up with blood sugars, kayaking adventures, personal goals, etc

I was just going to post this idea, it would be great not only in the sleep section but also for the food log.  You could put it what worked, what was different that day, etc...

Hiya guys and girls, I'm new here so I'm sorry if this has been mentioned. I would like to suggest a note section on the app.

I would like to log how my fitness day went each day, I have a pretty bad memory and I'd love to have this feature to look back on days that I was slacking on and remember what I was doing that day or what was wrong with me and the reason I wasn't able to work out as well that day!

Or on days where I tried something new and had a great work out and would like to go back and compare days! I would then be able to find out what I was doing on that day and remind myself how the day went.

Hope this makes sense, I'm. Struggling to write atm as my 3 year old has destroyed my carpet with toy slime he got from Asda!

I need to be cheered up fitbit after this massive tidy up I have ahead of me. So if you could consider a day to day small note section I would be over the moon.

I wonder if this would interest anyone else?

Also I love my fitbit charge 2! I gave up on my Apple watch in no time, and my fitbit I just can't be without! Great job!

For as many people as voted for this, you would think it would be added at least to the dashboard.

It would definitely be helpful to make a note of how you felt that day, how your workout was, etc.

I'd like to be able to make a note to myself so that I could see why I might not have reached goals. For example, if I was sick or had some other health issue that prevented me from doing stairs or walking. Or even if I was just having a tough day.

I agree with all who have said they want a journal feature. What I'd like to see is a notes or journal area attached to each day so that one could make whatever notes are useful. I mostly track my steps and water consummed.  Right now, I would find it helpful to make a note each day that my knee bothers me   to gather evidence for a possible knee replacement.

I find it difficult to read my Fitbit when I am out hiking. It would be nice if the display was brighter. Another suggested feature would be for the results to scroll through once activated.

I agree about the display brightness: I don't wear a watch anymore because my Fitbit displays the time but when it's sunny out I can't read the display

Completely agree! And as you have seen, so do any others!

Like you, I use my Fitbit to track my step count and remind me about water consumption.  It has become a very useful tool in helping me make lifestyle changes.  And that is just one of the reasons I think a daily journal or note section, in the app, can only enhance user experience.
