Fitbit Journal - Notes on the Fitbit app

How about a space in the app for a daily note. I would like to be able to leave a note on the daily results page. So that if results are high or low I would know why when looking back. IE: was I sick so my daily results were very low or were they extra good and for what reason? In sure folks would have lots of reasons to look back at results and would want to know what was what at that time. Ted

It would be great to have an option in the app to add notes, ideas, reminders, encouragements, moods, emotional state or whatever will help us reach our goals. It will help us figure out why we might have had a bad night of sleep ( too much caffeine, overindulgence, etc.) lack of motivation to exercise, if we had injuries or record a quote that will keep us motivated ect. So when we look back we can understand why we had good weeks or bad weeks. Instead of having a separate fitness diary FitBit can totally be our one stop app.

Thanks for your participation in the Feature Suggestions Board!

Would e great if when I miss a day here and there, that I could mark a reason why somehow so it doesn’t loo like I just skipped a day for no reason. Life happens, you get sick, a family emergency, the gym is closed for maintenance, you get stuck at work late, etc etc. I’d love to be able to add some context to why I missed/skipped a workout.

It would be nice if I could add notes about the day. Maybe I was sick or something specific happened that changed my exercise or eating patterns. I mainly want to use it to track my moods. I’m curious to see the relation between what I eat/ how much experience I do and how I feel that day or several days later. Do I tend to be happier a couple days after I eat well/exercise? Do I feel depressed for a few days after eating junk food?

There needs to be a way to add notes in the app. Notes for decreased or increased activity or food. For example, if one is sick there will be less actity and food consumption. People also likely have reasons for an increase of food or activity for a short time period.

There was already this suggestion however I was unable to vote or add a reply.

I guess you can have a separate note section, as suggested by a user...or perhaps, in addition have an integrated place to incorporate notes into the sections.

For example...sleep section.  I would love to note my husband was sick as that explains my restlessness.  Or the times I left my fitbit to charge accidentally and later added my sleep time manually so it appears I slept the best ever!   A note (or perhaps data in a different color to note anomalies) would help me interpret the data more accurately.  What do you think?

Keeping Pace

Add a journal section under activities, on either the web or mobile app (or both). Someplace we can record anything that may have affected our workout (weather conditions, diet, lack of sleep...)

By adding the possibilities to add a desciptions to the activity it help to identifies my journey.

Instead of Hiking i can add a note "Hiking to moutains adventure for the weekend" for exemple.

And since a picture resume all, let add the possibilitie to insert a image to the activities.

It would beneficial to add notes to the different sections of data. For example, adding pre-bedtime routine to the sleep data or adding stress level to the heart rate data. I suffer from migraines so adding a note about medication intake to a general note area would be fantastic.

It would beneficial to add a notes field (just like this one I'm typing into now) to all the different tiles on the website dashboard. For example, adding a bullet list of pre-bedtime routines to the sleep data and adding stress level to the heart rate data. I suffer from migraines so adding a note about medication intake to a general note area would be fantastic. I would think that anyone in the medical profession would have requested this feature ages ago. I know that my doctor would be ecstatic if I could pass on all these stats and my detailed notes (log) in one piece.

as a visual person, having the journal be able to upload pictures and videos would be amazing! It would help me be able to visually see how my portion control has changed, let me keep track of the weights that I've added along my weight lifting, and also keep track of my progress with shots of myself each day or each week. I really love this tracking device and the ability to put in notes, but I really want pictures and videos too!

Please add an option for creating a space for a daily note. (Seems simple, right?) As a senior I would like to correlate how my prior day's activities affect how I feel in the morning.

There should be an option for note. I love having everything in the same app and this is why I want to use the female tracking option in Fitbit. However the app is so limited. So, either add more emotions and more symptoms like:

- rash

- sensitive skin

- angry

- hungry

- mad

- enraged

- mood swings (one minute your crying, the other your angry and the other your fin again)

- irritable

- tired

- unfocused

- etc.

Or simply add a feature for a note where we can add whatever we are feeling if that said feeling isn't in the options available. I would love to be using only one app. Yours isn't precise enough for me at the moment and i have to use another one.

A notes or journal tool/feature would be a great improvement to your app. Many people deal with challenges daily whether physical, mental, medical or seasonal and need some way to log these challenges (eg., allergies, pains, moods, energy levels, etc.) and link them up to food intake, sleep habits or physical activity to track what helps us with our challenges and what doesn’t. I’ve had several people ask me over the years if I knew of an app that does this that might integrate with Fitbit because Fitbit doesn’t do it. It’s time Fitbit...give the people what they need to get past their challenges so they can reach their goals!!! I did see a couple similar suggestions here, but they wouldn’t allow me to vote or post on them. I hope this can be related my vote/voice can be counted.

I would like to add a printable note on my dash board to remind me and or explain why - either I did not get any sleep last night or did not walk or did anything out of the norm.. Printing the page and then adding my notes works well enough but then I have to have paper to track.. It would be nice to see the notes on my dashboard.  Does any one else want this too?

Having a journal/notes section for each day on the dashboard would be AMAZING!!!!  Then I wouldn't have to have a separate item with my NSV accomplisments.
