Fitbit studio for Charge 5 to create clock faces and apps

While the Charge 5 has 23 different clock faces, it doesn't exactly fit what I would like to see, and others from looking at comments.
If a dev could design and publish a clock face for the Charge 5, I think the majority of complaints related to the clock display would be addressed.
Please! Add support for Charge 5 to the Fitbit Studio!

Yeah, they don't give a crap. Take it from someone who's had his for over a
year and watched this dumpster fire of a thread go nowhere. This is my last
Fitbit, not that they care.

They are just busy marketing the next thing - Google watches now I guess.
In my experience the only way to get attention is to be more vocal on truly
public forums where there is some discomfort for the company. Reply to
official tweets and Facebook etc posts, reply to posts that Google people
might see, make comparisons with competitors who try harder.

It's a shame that this suggestion was brought up a year ago without any action.  I bought this band because I didn't want a smart watch.

I wonder, what does it take for fitbit to actually respond to a feature request?

I mean, this one has >640 votes at the time I'm writing this, and is over a year old.

Does anyone know of a feature request that was actually implemented by fitbit?

How many votes and how old was that one?

FWIW, it seems the Charge 5 is just not getting any attention from fitbit.

It isn't supported in the studio, and it has actually lost features that existed in previous generations (such as Unicode support).

I'm afrain no number of pleas from the users will change a strategic decision by the company to not spend effort on it.

Of course, I'd love to be proven wrong...

As of right now, 643 people want to do free work for Fitbit to help improve their product!  I'd assume the tools for creating clock faces already exists, seeing as how there are 23 clock faces available...why not open those tools up to the public? 🙂

Add me in too. The Charge 5 clock faces are simply awful. Take for example 'Slashed'. Just make it appear properly horizontal and take out the cut outs from the time. Something as simple as this would serve the purpose of lot of people. The current clock faces looks like it has been designed by school kids or hallucinating people.

I just got my charge 5 today and the clock faces are awful or not useful 😞

Slashed has all the things i need, but the design is absolutly terrible.

Please add the support to the studio, so we can do our own clock faces. 😞

Look, we are just wasting our breath, they do not care what we post here. All we can do is hope that people do their research prior to buying a Fitbit and don't get one which will affect their bottom line.  That is the only way anything will change.  Of course that could mean they could stop making them all together as well.

I just wish someone cared enough at their company to actually do something or flat out say they won't, instead of just us begging for a change that will never come.

I always upgraded because the Charge had what I needed, but now, I don't know that I will ever again until it is out some time and I can see the watch faces.

It’s been years and they don’t even respond to requests.

In all honesty my advice to you is return the watch.

A year ago when Charge 5 was presented to the world you decided to use Will Smith to promote the new Fitbit. At the same time Will Smith was hosting a show called Welcome To Earth on National Geographic so that show plus his fitness videos on Fitbit was part of my decision making process. I was still on the wall trying to decide what to purchase to help track my health goals  I read hundreds of articles and watched many YouTube reviews. Like many others I broke my purchasing decision down to 2 possibilities Apple or Fitbit. Now I feel like I made huge mistake. I’m an Apple guy and have become a hard core Apple user over the last 23 years. I contacted Fitbit before I made my decision and the reason I contacted you is because the Charge 5 watch faces are crazy bad especially for a 57 year old man. I’m not a kid and I don’t want a device on my arm that looks like I grabbed my grandchildren’s watch and decided to take it away from them. Plus when I contacted Fitbit I was told that not only is their more watch faces coming but at some point I would be able to design my own. Well that is apparently not true. I guess in the end this was an expensive lesion that I should have already learned. Apple is king, Apple loves their customers, Apple listens to their customers, and Apple has custom watch face capabilities. As I have learned with computers, cell phones, applications, and I guess now fitness watches Apple is number one. I do not make the same mistake twice. I have worked in the IT field for 40 years I know a lot of people and people ask my opinion all the time when it comes to technology. I will be pushing people to Apple for fitness watches. I think waiting a year and still no closer to getting the ability to create watch faces is long enough. Fitbit I think you have dug yourselves a hole that you will not be able to climb out of but maybe that is what Google wants. So sad!

I know when the Charge 4 came out a lot of people requested the Charge 3 retro face, and it was added rather quickly. I cannot believe the Charge 5 has been out for a year and there is no similar simplified design released. Take slashed, reduce the time font just a bit, and get rid of the angle. Boom, a basic watch face. It cannot be that hard to do, can it? I am a week away from my 30 day return window with the vendor I bought it from, and honestly debating it at this point.

I have years of data on my Fitbit. My old Fitbit screen no longer has a
readable screen but I’ve continued to wear it for a year since it still
records data while I wait for updates to the charge 5 clock faces to make
it a viable replacement.

I’ve now given up and purchased an Apple Watch … I’ve decided I’ll just
have to live with the crippled battery life and as a lesson to all
potential Fitbit owners I’m now going to lose my years of Fitbit data
because it’s too hard to migrate it to Apple Health.

On hind site I never should have purchased a Fitbit because although I’ve
been wearing it for years, now the only person that can utilise that data
is Fitbit themselves.

Bye Fitbit. I can’t wait any longer 😞

There are several apps that migrate Fitbit data to Apple health in a very uniform manner. It’s just not feasible to use a Fitbit and Apple Health at the same time. Good luck I wish I would have spent my money with Apple.

Hello, please let me create clock faces for Charge 5. Thanks.

I'd love this feature. Being able to have MY color scheme would be great. also, theres no watc face that displays only date, time, heart rate, steps, and calories. I'd make a few watch faces myself and share with the community if fitbit would let me.

Same here, anything I created I would give it away for free. I have no reason to try and cash in on something people could use and appreciate.

Hello. Please let me create clock faces for Charge 5 devices. Thanks.

Not sure if the studio would solve the problem, but agree with all the comments that suggest you need a sensible clear clock with date heart and steps - for me - analogue.  I don't need many neon colours or italics.

Why is this STILL not addressed? The watch faces are ridiculous. I wear it to be a FITNESS TRACKER yet the only face that shows most of the stats is the ugly slashed face that looks like it was designed as a one-day project submitted by a C- middle school student for their graphic arts class.

Even my three year old super-basic Inspire2 has a better watch face for tracking stats. Something basic yet with stats.

Or, open the design store and let the 650 people here make our own watch faces.

I love the fitness/sleep track features of the Fitbit but the face design is godawful and its an embarrassment that in over a year there has been no feedback from Fitbit.

Like many others I also find the clock faces available for the charge 5 do be a huge disappointment. I was quite content with the seconds display on the charge 4 and yet there are only 2 available faces that have this. Looking forward to being able to design my own face but also I realistically accept that this will never happen and I will be stuck with a sub par product. I only upgraded to the charge 5 since my charge 4 clasp finally broke after a couple of years of use and the charge 5 was on sale. I would expect I will be leaving the Fitbit family in the future if their products continue to decline.
also the fact that the heartbeat and gps together don’t work (another topic) optimally together during sports is another reason to stay away from this watch. Oh well another couple more years until this one breaks and then I’ll see what the competitors offer.

Charge 5 was obviously a project still on the Fitbit table when Google acquired the company.  It's just as obvious Google had no desire to support it and just packaged it up and sent it out the door "as is" and has since moved on to other things.  Don't hold your breath on this issue ever getting resolved.  Find another Fitbit product you like if you will, or move on to another manufacturer.
