Fitbit studio for Charge 5 to create clock faces and apps

While the Charge 5 has 23 different clock faces, it doesn't exactly fit what I would like to see, and others from looking at comments.
If a dev could design and publish a clock face for the Charge 5, I think the majority of complaints related to the clock display would be addressed.
Please! Add support for Charge 5 to the Fitbit Studio!

100% agreed. I just bought the charge 5, and I will not hesitate to send it back if the clock face issue will not be addressed.

Charge 5 clock faces are all missing ability to display THE key info on one screen (Date, Time, Zone, Heart, Steps, Distance and Calories) without  having to tap and/or scroll. I had the Charge 4 before and it had a face which showed all the information I needed on the screen at the same time. There are also very few analog faces, none of which offer ability to tap to display calories. On the C 4, at least there was an analog face that would show date/time and allowed tap to see the rest of the items listed above.

Is there any chance there are more faces going to be made available? Specifically more analog and/or more options that include calories???

Just wanted to throw my support behind this request as well, no watch face available today shows all the information in a single glance. This would really highlight the color screen perfectly.

Yes need more analog watch selection. totally agree.

Hours over minutes are not the best. They are large, but take up to much space. I would like to see more 2 stat faces. The slash is the only option however, it is the worst color option. Plus the time is covered for no reason. I would love if the Ripple or Energy could have a 2nd stat that would be nice.

It seems to be a popular option with 150 votes. How many does it need before the Fitbit team notices people enjoy making faces in FitBit Studio. Not sure why the Charge 5 cannot be included just as OS5 ans OS4 devices were. It is still JSX and SVGs. But, the build tools have been broken for a month with silence from the company as well, so I wish I could say I was surprised but it seems Fitbit does not want content generation from the community.

I’ve added my upvote tomorrow this too!

I was pleasantly surprised to get an update this Christmas to my old charge 2, and when I noticed that the watch now has ‘apps’ in both clock faces as well as actual ‘app’ apps it’s surprising to see that there is no dev studio for this yet! I’ve created several watch faces for my wife’s versa and would jump at the chance to do some for the charge 5. Whilst I’ve found a ‘useable’ one at the moment, they are all lacking a little for ‘older’ eyes.

whilst on the subject, also having better access to the nfc interface is also a well needed update - but that’s a different thread:-).

Also would like to see some more functional/practical watch faces! I just upgraded from an inspire and really miss the basic screen I had before. It’s fun that there are some funky, retro designs but all 23 look like class of 2005 first semester graphic design projects gone WILD.

At this stage I'd just be happy for the 'slashed' watch face without the bit cut off the time... incredibly jarring to look at.

As a developer, would love to see the charge 5 support custom clock faces too so I can put what I want on there

I agree. There are no good Charge 5 screens that meet my wife's display desires.

All choices are rather lame and look slightly unprofessional.

I just bought the Charge 5 for myself and my father, and I am shocked to find the Charge 5 is not available for others to create faces for in Fitbit Studio. Just 23 faces that are essentially similar is disgusting and none of them are what I want or my father wants. I have used Fitbit for many, many years and it never occurred to me this would be an issue.

Fit it, Fitbit. The inclusion of all your devices in the Studio should be a default standard.

Just bought Charge 5 and I can't believe these watch faces are only options we have. They are absolutely HORRIBLE, how can someone possibly design fitness tracker watchfaces and not show most important stats within one single screen. It is a great fitness tracker, but I'm wearing a mechanical watch on my other hand and I want my fitness tracker to show fitness stats rather than useless watch faces.

3 Months is plenty of time for a company motivated to meet the obvious needs of its customers.

I'm feeling like a Charge 5 is already an abandoned product and not the market leading device I thought I was buying.

Fitbit, if you've a NIB Charge 3, can I swap you for my Charge 5 ?

Is fitbit working on this yet? I need to know whether or not to send my watch back. The clock faces options are just bad and I'd rather have an older model if this is permanent.

A bit disappointed, I love the form factor of the charge 5 and just Googled quite excited to develop some custom water app and a new watch face (since the defaults are really bad) and found this post. I don't buy the difference between the smart watch and tracker, they both share so much. Please, finish this MVP and unlock all the potential of the charge 5 by allowing the community to develop custom apps and watch faces.

Honestly it's incredibly annoying. I wear mine and like to keep track of steps while walking back and fourth holding my son. He flails about and bops the screen then I'm stood there tapping it with my nose trying to get the steps count back....

I would like to see a larger battery indicator, or at least a separate screen that shows the battery indicator or visibly. Currently I need a magnifying glass to read the battery indicator on my charge five.

I think it is smaller than 1 mm.

I agree with most of the comments here. The existing clock faces for the Charge 5 are pathetic (at least for most Americans). Hour over Minute is not acceptable and needs to be Hour:Minute clearly displayed.

As a 73 year old man, my main reason for getting the Charge 5 was its ability to display heartrate. As a result, I want a clock face that minimally displays the current date, the current time and my current heartrate. Everything else is superfluous.

As it is, I am using the Slashed clockface, but is still very cluttered and woefully inadequate for my needs. Sometimes the heartrate is shown too low and must be scrolled down to see it. The time is also cutoff (as someone else mentioned here earlier) and steps and other items on the screen are of little interest to me.

Please make the Charge 5 an option in Fitbit Studio! If this is not possible, please make a Date, Time & Heartrate Clockface available for use!

Yes, the clock faces on the Charge 5 are too “artsy” and not at all practical. Please provide useful clock faces or at least the option to customize them ourselves.

It's very disheartening to see that Fitbit doesn't seem to care a bit about this. The current clock faces are objectively trash and the fact that there isn't an option for allowing third parties to create faces is quite honestly the worst thing about the tracker. There is no reason there couldn't be at the very least a simple editor being made available, and I'm honestly considering returning mine while I still can because, again, the current options are literally terrible. I work in a job where I am not allowed to use more advanced smart watches, so I can't use a Versa or anything like that. I've been a Fitbit user since they were little belt clips, but I'm seriously ready to move on if this isn't addressed. Also, don't patronize us with "it will be passed on to the feature team if there is enough interest", as that is the most infuriating response imaginable. There is already enough displeasure with it and you absolutely know it. FIX THIS if you want to actually keep customers.

100% agree we need different clock faces. I want to see my steps without having to tap the screen a 1000 times ( because I tapped to many times and went passed it !)
