Fitness Tracking Ring (for Hand)

It would be geat if there were an option for a fitness tracking (steps) ring for the hand.  I enjoy my Fitbit watch, but many times I wish I could just wear one of my many watches instead of a fitness watch.  A ring, however, could fix this because it could track your steps whithout taking the users preference for style away.

It could contain simi-transparent display to show steps or just be a solid piece of metal (or rubber) that doesn't show steps - I'd be ok with either.  After searching for this online and coming up empty handed, I decided to check the US Patent DB system.  I see that Fitbit has a patent on Fitness Tracking devices and references various mediums for tracking (belts, hats, RINGS, etc), so the patent is already covered.

Worth the research on market demand.

Unfortunately I didn't find a category in the community which was a Product suggestion.
I feel the race for health and fitness companion is going in 2 ways:
- Smart watches with gorgeous screens and many features
- Invisible devices which can track all parameters bur small screens (or no screens)
When a Fitbit RING?

Hey Fitbit my husband doesn't like to wear watches or things around his wrist. He'd be open to a silicone fitness tracker ring but not made of hard materials. Your clip on options can't monitor heart rate. Will you be developing a ring option that is comfortable and can monitor everything a wrist device can?

As CES is well underway, a host of wearable technology has been announced. Notably absent is any kind of wearable innovation from Fitbit. However, much smaller companies including Amazfit have announced new devices, inducing a fitness ring. This is something that Fitbit absolutely needs if it wants to continue to be near the top of wearables.

A Fitbit Ring is long overdue. It should have all of the attributes as the watch, including haptic feedback vibrations along with a digital time display window.
