Food Database for Australia

Now that Fitbit is being sold (and is loved) in Australia, I'd love to see a Food Database for Australian users.  I don't use the Food diary at the moment, because it takes far too much time trying to adapt the American database to match what I am eating.

Would this be possible in the future?

its all well and good buying these gadgets that are suppose to help us but when there is no food database for Australia it makes it very hard to type in food when the database can't find them 

so i am going to put it out there i need a food database for Australia

If you are going to sell a product in australia you need it to have an australian database what a waste of money. I haven't got time to sit here all day typing in food names and there nutritional values.

I found out about fitbit when i purchased my my new HTC M8, it came with the app. I'll purchase the wrist band if you bring out a database for us folk down under.

There appears to be no food options from Australia. Every item I scan fails to be in the database.
The database in easy diet diary has almost everything and allows custom entry for barcodes.

Dont feel left out, the food database is useless everywhere.  I use myfitnesspal.com which syncs perfectly with Fitbit.

The Fitbit is getting big in Australia but we cant use the usa food list. can you please fix this.

Hi 

I am in Australia and I have used the food app by scanning product barcodes and trying to find foods by search via brand and type and found not many Australian brand foods are there.  So I am not going to be logging my foods because they will give the inaccurate calorie and fat totals.

Is there a way I can scan items that can then be submitted to be added to the database??

Austalian food database please.

I wold like to see the Australian food database please.  It's annoying having to manually enter everything into the food log.  However i'm loving my fitbit Flex 🙂

Have just purchased the flex fitbit as my birthday pressie to myself. Would love to see Australia as one of the data bases in the food choice. I realise this is an epic request, but would save alot of entering in and weighing, calculating food descriptions.  Thankyou

not very impressed as this is a major feature and purpose for purchasing. I hope it is coming VERY SOON as if I had of know that I would have brought the Garmin. Using another app defeats the purpose

Just started with my new Fitbit on Sunday but my question is, when will Australians have their own food database on the app please? It's so hard to find alternative foods to compare to what I am eating which means that my Fitbit calorie intake is only an estimate and not very accurate.

Its been said before but it would be fantastic to have an Australian food database. That part of the app is not that useful to me at the moment. Another idea would be to allow pairing with one of the apps that does have an Australian food database.
