Heart rate zones alert feature

Many fitness enthusiasts and individuals of whom base their workouts on target heart rate zones would really appreciate a heart rate alert feature implemented into the new Fitbit Ionic as well -if possible ALL Fitbit watches. This feature would allow a Fitbit user to manually set their Fitbit watch to alert the user once their targeted maximum and minimum heart rate has been achieved while performing a workout. Â The watch would vibrate on the user's wrist alerting the user when their selected heart rate has been accomplished or met allowing the user to more cater their workouts to stay within a selected threshold. Â Implementing this feature will also serve well as a safety feature which can alert the user when their calculated heartrate is dangerously high or above the maximum threshold that they set enabling the user to adjust their workout accordingly. Â Some Fitbit users I can imagine and many other individuals have cardiovascular/heart related issues which prevent them engaging in a workout that is too intense therefore a heart rate alert feature implemented into the new Fitbit Ionic would make the watch more marketable to the present customer base, a broader audience of fitness enthusiasts, and desirable to a whole new market of individuals of whom have cardiovascular/heart issues and will really appreciate a heartrate alert feature implemented into their fitness/activity trackers. Overall, implementing this feature will likely increase popularity of the watch, increase revenue, and appeal to a wider range of individuals that are taking steps to improve their health through daily workouts but are limited to what they can do due to cardiovascular/heart concerns. Â Implementing this feature can likely be as simple as have software engineering add it to a software/firmware update which will allow it to perform identical to the silent/vibrating alarm feature already included in most Fitbit watches anyhow.

One simple change that would go a long way to help end users monitor HR while working out would be to add the ability to select HR as a Quick View Gesture during workouts to the device settings menu........it would save repeatidly having to tap the device to show HR

I would love to see this feature added! I use the Fitbit for a health issue and when exercising it is best for me to stay in a certain heart rate range. Having my Fitbit alert me to my target heart rate would be of great benefit to me and would allow me to workout without continually checking my heart rate.

I think it would be useful if a vibration notification comes when Heart Rate changes between defined heart rate zones.

Would be great to have the ability to set (UT3 and UT2 etc) custom HR zones and for the Fitbit to buzz when you fall below or rise above the set targets. I'm a rower and can't keep looking at my watch as my hand is attached to an oar or rowing machine handle usually but we have set training zones and I need to know when I'm in danger of leaving that zone. Don't want to spend money on another device when it seems like this would be simple enough to incorporate into the Fitbit's functions! Please!

Seeing that this still hasn't been implemented for my Charge HR is annoying.  Seeing that this hasn't been added in the new products, like the Charge HR2 is just shocking.

+1

Heart rate zone vibration would be a fantastic feature and probably a fairly easy software change/update.

Please have good news for us soon!

This would be very useful. I want to control my training level based on a set max heart rate to see how my speed and distance improve over time for a given max heart rate effort.

I have absolutely no idea why such a basic feature (that every pulsometer should have) has not been implemented yet. Being an amateur programmer I can only say that this is unbelievably easy to code and implement that option. That makes me think they do not implement it on purpose...but why? They loose customers that way.

Yes. I like my Surge but a max heart rate alarm would make it much better

I've had three heart operations due to a fast heart (232), and now my surgeon insists I do exercise but not to go over 168 bpm.

The blaze, as does all HR versions, have heart rate zones, which can be altered under custom. So as this data is already there, it makes sense to use it.

Why not have a option for heptic vibrates when moving zones, or just for max.

This might just save my life....

I called this out before, but the recent updates have focused on the clock. They could change the font size too!!!

I bought my charge 2 yesterday. After a heart attack I need this feature badly and I assumed this as some sort of a basic feature.
Without such a notification charge 2 is useless for me.
Any comments fibitees?

Please add this feature. I recently got a Charge 2, for the sole purpose of tracking my HR. I have M.E. (Myalgic Encephalomyalitis, commonly known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrom). Exercise makes ME sufferers sicker. Simply put, it our bodies don't turn sugars into energy properly. All of our systems suffer by not having enough energy to function properly - muscles, brain, digestion...everything. Recent studies have shown that it helps me sufferers to control their heart rate by keeping it under 110 beats per min. It would be extremely helpful to be able to set and alarm (vibration or beep) to alert us when we hit a certain HR. Thank you for you consideration.

+1 for the heart rate warning vibration. Check the heart rate manually during running is a big pain.

I am a distance trail runner and I sadly assumed it had this feature. I love the charge 2 but heart rate notifications would make it so much more valuable

This function would be invaluable, and I expected that the Blaze would have this function already when I purchased (As my old polar did). Trying to maintain a heartrate zone is difficult otherwise.
