I strongly agree. I had a fitbit sense last 23 months. It died and was replaced under warranty. Now the replacement unit has died after 12.5 months. I imagine this is not covered under warranty and paints a really bad view of the quality of these devices. Other internet forums seem to mirror this view.
I will be switching to another brand and recommending others to do the same as it seems these devices do not last very long.
I would expect a minimum of 5 year lifespan from such an expensive (premium?) device.
I have purchased the versa watch since the first series and am very frustrated with the fact they don’t last more than a year or 2. I am very careful and never wear it in water, even though you claim it is safe and I’m sick of having to buy a new one every year or 2. At $200-$300 a watch this is ridiculous.
I've been a very longtime FitBit user and share everyone's disappointment here. It's like a bad relationship. Sometimes it's just time to move on I guess.
Pretty sad to see what has happened to FitBit. It's difficult to understand how this happened given the explosion of us fitness freaks. Maybe we're a smaller community than I thought? 🤔
I loved my versa 3, that I had for over a year, but it stopped working, and I was sent another versa 3. I have had it for less than a month, and the screen stopped working. What's the purpose of a replacement, when you send out malfunctioning product, and are not willing to replace again?

In 8 years I've has 4 fitbits mysteriously die and stop working that's every 2years spending hundreds of dollars thinking ah maybe it was a fluke. No the products are design to fail and don't survive their on firmware pushes

I would like to know why fitbit products are all designed to fail shortly after the warranty period. This is the 4th time its happened to me and I'm tired of it. I will no longer purchase your product if 18 months is all they last.
I am wondering the same. My first Fitbit lasted for years and my latest Fitbit is starting to fail after around 18 months. It will be charged over 60% and in less than 24 hours, go to 1%, lose data, and not sync. It will be a pain to switch brands because I'll lose my history, but between the "improvements" to the app and problems with reliability, it's time to find a better company.
Hi. Which FitBit did you purchase? I am wondering if this is a on-going problem within the model line. I am looking to buy my 2nd one and don't want to keep purchasing. It looks like a few people are encountering the same issue. Thanks for your feedback, it is helpful!
My Fitbit Charge 6 only lasted for 5 months. The screen was unresponsive when swiped to right. It was really disappointing.
I reported my issue to Fibit support team on 15th July 2024 and I am still waiting for my refund till today. Not only the quality of the devices need improvement, after sale service too.

I’ve been a Fitbit user for a long time through classic, charge, multiple verses, and both senses. I loved the features I had maybe a year or two ago and feel that the product barely works and the software is becoming less and less useful. I’ve just canceled my premium subscription and sadly plan on switching brands soon. Just really disappointed.
Very disappointed in the watches I've had. It's hard to tell if the product fails on purpose or just due to poor quality. After talking with customer support today I've decided to write reviews anywhere I can to warn people of the extremely poor quality, and the absolute disinterest in helping solve the problem. All they care about is selling me another crappy watch. Why would I buy another one when I'm calling you because your product is broken? Very disappointing.
Your post sounds almost identical to one Fitbit wouldn't let me post! I too have been an avid Fitbit user, starting with the "One" 10 years ago. The downhill slide has caused me to have to give up.:-( My new smartwatch, after much research, is coming next week
