Increase Font Size on Charge 4 for different stats

I'd love to be able to change the clock face on Charge 4 when I run.  Right now, the pace is the largest number and I don't care about that.  I'm 62 and the fact that I'm still running is great!  I run by time and I'd love to make that the largest number on the clock face.  Then maybe add my heart rate.  Just a thought.

I got my charge 4 six months ago. There have been numerous posts on this issue.
The time and stats are to small and too dim. Cannot be read in sunlight. Difficult to read if you need glasses. Appalling lack of response from Fitbit to what is a major problem for many many users. Who cares about customers? We’re worth 2 billion!

I so agree with this. Having to stop and focus to look at the small font for the heart rate interrupts my running and yet it is a very important feature to monitor.
Going through the 'exercise mode' gives a bigger font but then gives different stats on the App, i.e no simple total time run.
Although, sadly, I don't expect any changes to the Charge 4 display, there should consistency in the stats.

Please make the text larger on the Fitbit Charge 4 it is very small and hard to read. Also I noticed that most of the other Fitbits have the option for many clock faces, There are so many cool faces available, why is it not possible to download them to the Charge 4?

I have a cracked Charge 2 that I love because I can read messages as they scroll. Last year I bought a Charge 3 and promptly returned it when I found the text was too small to read without readers. I wrote to you a year ago asking for an increase in font size.  I was hoping this would be corrected in the Charge 4 but I can see it was not. Without the ability to read the text I’ll be looking at another company as soon as my Charge 2 goes belly up.

Hi @JoJo24, thanks for explaining why you would like to have the option to increase font size for Charge 4. Thanks for sharing your feedback. I've moved it into a similar request.  A lot of users are asking for this option, I hope we receive updates soon.

I got my Charge 4 today and so disappointed with the ant size font.  I just cannot see it.  I was happy with my Charge 2's size and am sad to have let it go as the band cannot be attached to the device.  I am surprized to see that so many others have a similar problem with Charge 4.  It is ridiculous that the makers of the device did not think of accessibility issues.

People, including myself, have been complaining about the font size and light grey color since April, yet no action has been taken, other than replies to user comments.  I would not recommend the Charge 4 to anyone.  Come on Fitbit, get moving on this issue.

I wish I knew about the small size font of Charge 4 before I ordered it.  I would not have bought it.  It is ridiculous to see the moderator repeatedly say, since April that s/he hopes for an update.  I am very disappointed that this device is useless for me as I just cannot read it.  I was totally satisfied with ,y Charge 2 and was sorry to give it up because something is broken on the edge and would not let the band hold.  I think I am going to end up returning this Charge 4.  but before I order a new device, I need to know which one should I gamble on.  Why does not the company tell us about these features clearly so that the customer knows what s/he is buying.  I would give you zero marks for transparency and accessibility.

I want to see my heart rate on Charge 4 while I'm exercising but the numbers are far to small and dim to see when outdoors. I use the heart rate monitor within the exercise program. Please make the HR numbers as large as possible, they should be big & bright and easy to see at a glance. Anything less is a huge disappointment. Thanks.

Hi @littleStevieK, thanks for explaining why you would like to have the option to increase font size for Charge 4. Thanks for sharing your feedback. I've moved it into a similar request.  A lot of users are asking for this option and you can also vote for these other suggestions:  Eliminate Dim Fonts on Charge 4 for certain headers and Charge 4 screen brightness boost.

I hope we receive updates soon.

Requests to change font size especially for the current heart rate were around since 2015 (5 years!), since Charge HR time. But FitBit is notorious for discarding such easy to implement features that could make their devices more user friendly, especially for those who need to put on reading glasses during their exercise to read the heart rate or other vitals. The same applies to a vibration alarm when the heart zone is crossed.

Wish I read this before I purchased. FitBit does not seem to care enough to make what should be a simple software update to make their product serviceable and their customers happy. I hope FB steps up to the plate on both the brightness and font size issues for the heart rate monitor screen. FB, we are waiting for meaningful action on these issues. We want a fix not platitudes.

What is the latest in a font change? Will it get corrected? If not, I need to return. I purposefully didn't want a Smartwatch. I just wanted the basics. Now, at 62, I cant read it. Why is the time of day so big but stats so small. I did not buy a watch. I bought a fitness tracker.

Anyone have a better brand of fitness watches to buy where the font issue isnt an issue? . Dont want a Smartwatch just a decent fitness, sleep, pulse tracker. Thanks

I agree. Seems like it should be a pretty simple fix. --

FitBit is the best sleep tracker I've ever seen, and good fitness too.
There are other ones beside the charge4 that are easier to see.
Good luck!

I heard it isn't a simple fix, but they are working on it.
Hearsay.

I run with my FitBit Charge 4 to collect historical information and use a Polar Heart Rate Monitor to collect real time heart rate information.  The real time heart rate information gives me the feedback I need to analyze exercise effort.

I feel encouraged by so many FitBit users speaking about the font issue.  I had a Charge 2 for four years and I was perfectly happy with it.  When iI could no longer attach a band to it, I had to buy a new FitBit.  So, so disappointed with Charge 4.  What is the point of this device if I cannot read the numbers?  I am appalled to see that Fitbit is so tone deaf to accessibility issues.

Recently upgraded from the Alta HR to the Charge 4 thinking the larger screen would be easier to read, but it is actually worse! I can't even read the stats or notifications without reading glasses, which I don't wear when working out. Please give the option for larger font size!

I would like the option to change the font size of notifications on the Charge 4 or future Charge models.

Please give the ability to use a larger font in the Charge 4.  I may have to return my new one.  It is useless if I cannot read it.

I already exchanged mine for an Apple Watch. So much better!
