Indicate exact restless/awake times during sleep tracking

Is there anyway to indicate the exact times the fitbit is recording us as being "awake" or "restless" throughout the night? I know there are bars on a graph to show, but it doesnt indicate the actual time I am waking up or being restless. It would really help me better see my sleeping patterns throughout the night.

This seems really out of the way to say we want something back that we already had, but being able to see my actual times that im restless and in deep sleep was priceless.  I logged in to fitbit every day more for my sleep and steps than anything else! I started discovering when my optimal rest time was by being able to click on the chart and see the times, not just the beginning and end. I VOTE TO bring back the ability to see actual times of restless,  awake, deep sleep. Thank you.

I agree. I was so disappointed to see that feature had disappeared.

I understand that I can still see the graph with awake and restless periods, but I need to see the actual time periods labeled so I can understand what's going on.

It's so frustrating to become dependent on a feature only to have it removed.

I have an Alta and am suggesting that the hours of sleep be calibrated by actual real time.  That way I can correlate when I was awake and when I was asleep.  At the moment - it is a guess as to when I was awake during an awake period.

... have you seen the update yet?
They now have deep, light, REM and awake states with... "general ruler"
underneath. Once you update your phone app, all other fitbit apps and web
automatically change the sleep section. It will ask you to log into the
web when you go to the log there.
There is one place that gives you a bit of extra info... how many times/
minutes you were awake/ restless when hovering over the bar... not sure
where i found it or how long it will be before they remove it, so....
I think for my purposes having amount of time in Deep and REM stages will
be sufficient. Whereas my husband has to make sure not to update to keep
the amount of times/ minutes awake and restless.
Frustrating!

We need this feature back. It's integral to investigating the cause(s) of ouf waking and restlessness.  Please recheck that box! 8): smileyfrustrated:

Roll back to previous version that showed percentage of sleep time (i.e., quality of sleep).  There are more than 400 requests

to have this done.

The new sleep feature is awful in my opinion. It is not nearly as informative or as easy to see and use. I wish you would revert to the previous!!!!

The new sleep pattern is worthless. We have no idea what time we were restless/awake. It only provides a poorly created graph with light blue and red lines. Sleep apnea members use the times to help them with how they may sleep. You can tell us what time we "went to sleep" and what time we got up. But that is it. It is now a waste.

It is now April 8th, and this very important feature is still disabled.  My valuable sleep tool, is now a useless watch.  Fitbit, fix this.

The new detailed sleep record on the Dashboard could use some improvement.  Currently, when you view the detailed sleep data (overall sleep time with awake/restless periods) you cannot scroll over the period and see what time it occurred.  This needs to be fixed so one can see when a specific type of period occurred.  Also, the interaction for editing a sleep time could be improved by providing a button called "save" that one would click to enter the revised sleep time.  As it stands now, there is no way to determine if the input was taken even if it shows up on the display.

This product served a good purpose until recently and has now become a huge disappointment.

The newly updated graph for displaying sleep no longer displays a timeline that shows the hourly time, which made it useful. Could you please put that detail back into the graph?  I use my iMac to view this info. The whole point in me getting this device was to monitor my sleep. I suffer from severe insomnia. It was actually a big help up until the graphing was recently 'downgraded' in detail. Now it is useless and I have discontinued using it, as it no longer serves the purpose it was purchased for, as it was originally advertised to do.

I need to know when I have been awake or restless.  Please restore the old functionality.

With the temporary update on sleep data, the old features of showing the actual times of night when restless or asleep, and the percentage of sleep, are now missing.  Can I ask that both of these features be reinstated please?

My fitbit is used for the purpose of sleep tracking, and both of these features are relevant. Without these features my fitbit  no longer fulfills the purpose for which I bought it, I have happily been using fitbit for several years now and am sad to see that there is the possibility I may need to buy a different product, which I will need to do if these features are not reinstated.

Forgot to mention I use the ultra.

I have the Charge HR and view my data on a MacBook Pro, an iOS device.  When I view the sleep tile, it provides the chart with all the bars indicating when I was awake or restless, but along the "X axis", it only shows the time where I "fell asleep" and when I "woke up", and no other indicator of what time any of the restless events took place.  I've tried double clicking the bar, expanding the chart just gives me a bigger graph, but with no extra information (that goes for some of the other activity charts as well).

Despite have a few app updates, and trying to restart my iOS devices, I haven't figured out a way to display a more informative chart.  I've seen others mention you click on the tile, but I've never gotten a display like the one they get.  Maybe it's because I'm running iOS/Mac instead of Windows or Android?

Is there a setting I need to adjust?  If there is I haven't been able to find it under the general settings, or under the settings of the sleep tile (which is just letting me delete the record).

I don't know how to delete my post!

I figured it out after going back and doing more searching in the community forum.  Apparently I needed to hold my finger down on the expanded chart and slide it back and forth to get the times.  Not particularly fond of that, but at least it's something.  Not sure how that works on the laptop, since it doesn't have a touch screen, but I'll play with it some more.

Perhaps this information could be put in the help/information section of the apps?  It seems to be a common question.

We aren't planning to revert this change, but we welcome your feedback in this thread. I'm going to go ahead and close this suggestion so that we can keep the conversation organized in one place.

So, this tells me Fitbit doesn't give a sh....hrmmm, care what the consumer/user wants. Fitbit has lost customers over this. I will not support a company that has this attitude, we will do what we want, and you don't matter. I am done with them.

Agree completely - there is neither a detailed X-axis nor the ability to hover over the daily sleep chart to see what time we entered various states. The module is so much less useful now. Big, dumb graphic, not useful, analyzeable data.

It would be useful to see what time I am sleeping well and what time I am sleeping light. It is no time indicator on the graph.

This doesn't work in the Android app nor in the Web dashboard. Baffles me why they'd remove a perfectly working feature...

I would like to see the hours of the night along the bottom of the sleep graph. It just gives your start and finish time with nothing in between so calculating when you're disturbed/awake etc is pure guesswork. This would also help in working out your true asleep times if you know you were reading for an hour in bed but the tracker thought you were asleep.

I can no longer see what time(s) I was awake or restless; the only times displayed on my sleep log is beginning and end.  I moved the slide bar across the bottom, but no time other times showed.   Can this helpful feature be implemented back into the program?  Thank you for your consideration.
