Integrate with Apple Watch

The options available for wearing your FitBit with business casual clothing is extremely limited. Please partner with Apple & allow us to use the Apple Watch to track our steps for a premium subscription. I love the APP & currently proudly wear my flex daily, but would really like the option available when the Apple Watch is released.

Yes!  Please integrate with the Apple Watch!  I would love to be able to compete with my friends and family across platforms!

@suki23 If you scroll down in the Activity app, you can see steps on your Watch (you probably already know this, but just in case) albeit not directly on your watch face.

When I first got my Watch I missed having step count as my primary goal but I like the challenge of closing the rings and I very quickly stopped seeing steps as key. I'd been wearing a Fitbit Charge for a while though and that counted arm movement rather than steps; the step count may not be as easily accessible on the Watch but it is way more accurate (it generally matches the count on my Fitbit One to within a couple of hundred steps; my Charge would be up to a few thousand out either way depending on its mood and my outfit on any given day).

I am looking into getting an Apple Watch due to the fact that I like the look compared to my Fitbit Blaze but would LOVE to keep the competitions with my Fitbit friends.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE...have an update to be compatible with Apple.

While I am well aware that my Apple watch counts steps, that is NOT the issue. The issue is that for family and friends who DONT have an Apple Watch and only have a Fitbit, we cannot compete in challenges together.

I too have moved to an Apple Watch for every day.  In my circle, friends are using Fitbits and I do like the Fitbit app for monitoring health but as others have said, the Apple Watch and its apps suit me better for daily life (Apple pay, easy timer, messaging, notifications etc).  I understand that Fitbit is a hardware company also but perhaps you can boost your software subscriptions by offering Apple Watch access to premium subscribers?  I would gladly subscribe or buy a premium version for the integration.

I was really bummed when the Blaze came out and could not compete with my Garmin because it could not track lap swimming. I am now looking at the Apple Watch but want to be able to sync my steps with the Fitbit app again as that is what all of my friends use and I miss the step competitions! Please make this option available.

Originally a FitBit Zip and Flex owner, now I use an Apple Watch. It's very disappointing:

1) The FitBit app doesn't integrate with HealthKit.

2) The FitBit app doesn't allow Apple Watch data to sync into the friends leaderboard.

Almost 3 years later, and we're still trying to vote this feature in?!?  SMH 'pleas fell on deaf ears'

For the love of God, SO MANY people have asked you to do this, FitBit. Surely it cannot be lost on you that you are losing customers left and right. I'd still be using your services if you integrated, but I'm not, and I can't count the number of my friends who aren't either and it's for the exact same reason. Get it together and I'd actually come back to your community.

I've had a Fitbit for a few years now. I've loved competing with friends in the work week hustle. Anyway, I just got an Apple Watch and I'm not going to wear my watch AND my Charge HR so it would be great if Fitbit had an Apple Watch sync function so people can still compete with friends and have inspiration to be more active. I'm not saying make it free to anyone, but for those of us that have trackers already, let it be synced and not mobile steps. I don't always have my phone on me. I don't want to quit being a Fitbit supporter but if it can't be synced I have no choice. Please consider it.

I have been a FitBit user for the last few years and love my One. I play sand volleyball and it was the best option available to be able clip the tracker to my clothing to track my activity (instead of my wrists, since passing a volleyball with a watch/tracker is unpleasant and could break my device). The One is also very convenient for work, as I have to remove anything on my wrists for surgery and still get credit for my steps in the OR when my phone and watch are off.

I recently bought an Apple Watch and would really like the ability to integrate my steps/activity. I looked back at this forum and people have been asking for this since 2014! Come on FitBit, get with it! If I can find another device that functions like the One and is compatible with Apple you will lose a loyal customer. Please consider it.

I would love to see the Apple Watch integrated. I´m a long time Fitbit user and would hate to leave you guys behind.

I too am a dedicated Apple Watch user. I will NOT be buying a fitbit just to use the community features. I would, however, pay a premium or pay for an app to integrate my watch to the fitbit community. Your choice, get NONE of my money or SOME of my money.

I would love to see the Fitbit steps and counter integrated with the Apple Watch.  This would be ideal for most business professionals.  Please..  We're all willing to PAY for it, we just want to utilize it on our Fitbits and through an app that will integrate to our other devices.  PLEASE!!

Thanks,

I am a Fitbit user (alta, charge HR) and a new Apple Watch owner. I will NOT be wearing both devices at the same time. I love the Fitbit app and HATE that I can't see the steps from my Apple Watch in the dashboard (yes I do mobiletrack, but I don't carry my phone everywhere so it's worthless). PLEASE integrate!

Hey Fitbit devs, you know how you get people to stop using your app and use 3rd party apps with Fitbit devices? By not implementing feature which has been on request list for 2 years.  How do you sleep at night?! Please prioritize this feature into next sprint.

Please allow apple watch users to integrate with fitbit app. I bought a fitbit alta a year ago and used it for the year with challenges with friends and now I bought an apple watch because it works better for my work setting with email/notifications etc. I totally understand that apple watch is a competitor for a wearable tracking device but let's be honest, they aren't REALLY in the same category. Most of my friends who have fitbits where the devices that are closer to the $150 and under mark where as a new apple watch is closer to the $350-$400 mark. I would gladly pay a one-time $5-$10 for the apple watch to be integrated fully with the fitbit app. I've already spent $130 on a fitbit so really you've gotten your money from me. I am not going to wear both and the functionality of the apple watch is far superior. I just want to be able to use it with your app. Seriously if you just charged a $5-$10 charge to purchase the ability to integrate competitors watches with your app... you would get more loyal followers and people will jump at the chance to give you money to use the app you already have. How is this not an easy choice for you?

Guys, I just fell into the same position as the hundreds of people above have as well. It's obvious from a simple review of the search results for this requests, this feature has been pegged for for over 2 years by your loyal customers and still nothing.  Come on fitbit, don't be that kind of company that tells its customers it knows better.

Though this is strictly my opinion, but allow me to frame it this way...

If you were Mercedes-Benz and came out with a really cool feature for your cars...  To the point where you have a number of BMW owners asking you to retrofit this feature for their cars, even if they were willing to pay for it, would you make it available?

I know that I wouldn't.

I have been a FitBit user for 2 years. We were a FitBit family. My wife and I + 3 of our 5 children had FitBits. I am extremely impressed with the FitBit concept and iPhone App. The FitBit HR was ok... Did it fitness job well. I bought a Blaze for my wife and I, I wasn't overly impressed with it. I didn't like the look of it. But again loved, the FitBit iPhone App and the health assistance the FitBit assisted. However.... Fitbit doesn't not have a product that compares to the Apple Watch. 2 of my sons sold their fitbits and bought an Apple Watch. Once I had a play with their Apple Watches I was sold. 30 minutes ago I strapped my new apple watch on. I will now miss the FitBit challenges with my FitBit friends and ultimately suspect my wife will soon be wearing an Apple Watch. The apple watch hardware is in a class of its own.... this is not good for the fitbit business model which is a shame as I found my FitBit iPhone app amasing with the data it collected from my FitBit watch. For numerous reasons I am sold on the Apple Watch and would be willing to pay for a FitBit app/subscription to give my Apple Watch access to the FitBit world and iPhone app. I think FitBit has a very serious conversation to have on whether to try to compete against the Apple Watch hardware and possibly loose some market share. Or perhaps grow with a FitBit service for Apple Watch users.

I think you're not comparing apples to apples. Sorry for the bad pun. Consider this if both Mercedes and BMW had traffic monitoring systems built into their cars that then each BMW shared traffic information with every other BMW. And Mercedes also had the same system we shared information with every other Mercedes about the traffic.

What this thread is asking for is for Mercedes and BMW to allow traffic information to be shared between the two vehicles. It's data sharing.

@Stev-0,

Well, it depends on the feature...  For instance, when automatic parallel parking was introduced (in 2003 in Toyotas and then Lexus) if you lived in a place where you had to do this often (like Seattle) and you were in the market for a new car, you would very likely pick a Toyota over a Honda for this convenience, especially if you've had a number of mishaps.  If Toyota gave away (or licensed) the technology and it became available on the Honda Civic, then they might've just lost millions in car sales...  Likely much more than they would've made by licensing the technology.

As for the folks who want to participate in challenges but won't want to wear two devices on their wrist.  You don't need to wear a Fitbit on your wrist; you may get a clip-on model (like the Zip, for under $50) and put it in your pocket (or bra for the ladies).  I participate in many challenges and my wrist is Fitbit-free 90%+ of the time.
