Integrate with Apple Watch

The options available for wearing your FitBit with business casual clothing is extremely limited. Please partner with Apple & allow us to use the Apple Watch to track our steps for a premium subscription. I love the APP & currently proudly wear my flex daily, but would really like the option available when the Apple Watch is released.

Sadly I think this thread is falling on deaf ears.

Over half my Fitbit friends show up as having "no recent activity". Some will just have stopped wearing a tracker but I'd guess a good few have switched to the Apple Watch as their Fitbits have broken.

Yes, it wouts cost money to develop this integration (my guess is not that much money given that it's already possible to use my phone as a tracker) but the income stream of Premium members could help Fitbit a lot. Replacing broken trackers must be a significant cost at the moment (my Charge was replaced three times under warranty).

I kind of wonder whether Fitbit's reluctance here isn't that it wants to compete with Apple but that it's hoping to be bought by Apple. Clearly the business of making trackers isn't going particularly well.

I think it's abundantly clear what your past and current customers want. It would be nice to get some type of resolution. Either you do it or you don't. And either or would be fine, at the very least get back to the people that have shown interest in your business model and product. So far you have failed to do that.

Also interested in this... it makes perfect sense to sync with Apple Watch as this way I'd be able to compete with my colleagues and they will be happy with their FitBit devices and I'd be happy being integrated in your eco-system...

I am not happy with the fact that my Apple Watch cannot track my steps.  I bought sync solver thinking this would be the answer but it is not.  Sync solver works apparently with my phone not my watch.  I am in a challenge ans lose thousands of step per day because I cannot get the fit bit software to link with my watch.  I paid 2.99 for the solver and am disappointed.  Even if I could enter what my watch says as opposed to .... I would be happy.  Nope not a fan of this yet and will probably stop using it soon.  I am sick of looking like I did not do the work when I did.

Colleagues:

I am receiving an Apple iWatch 2 as a gift.  Due to the apparent lack of compatibility, or the ability to easily/automatically synchronize Fitbit with the iWatch/Apple Health application, my Fitbit Charge HR will be going into the electronic recycling bin.  I have been a Fitbit customer for many years (four Fitbit Trackers) and would be willing to gladly pay Fitbit for the ability to synchronize data back-and-forth between the Fitbit-Apple platforms.  I have worked as a Technical Consultant to Industry and Government since 1983 and can see how Fitbit may gradually lose customers until this issue is resolved .... Just my $0.02 ............... 😕

My friends are leaving FitBit for the Apple Watch, and I miss them in FitBit challenges! Help make all of us healthier by integrating.

Several friends and family with I watch that I would love to combine challenges and workout goals with. Combined I watch and Fitbit app would be really appreciated (speaking on behalf of 10 users)

Right now I use Stidekick Apps to solve that...

Hey DeBlaise!! 🙂 Would you mind giving us more info on how you do it? You're able to get your Apple Watch steps to count towards weekly challenges with your friends?

Hi,

You cannot use the weekly challenge from Fitbit. Everyone needs to
install the Strikekick app available on the Apps Store and Google Play.
You have to create new challenges in Stridekick. Stidekick supports a wide
variety of activity tracker including Apple Watch and Fitbit.

Thanks,

Danny

I may have found a way around all this where we can still compete with Fitbit friends (just not on Fitbit).  I was searching online and found a question about it to Apple and they said use an app called Activity Club.  It integrates most trackers so you can do Apple Watch, Fitbit, Jawbone, ect....and your data will come from whichever device you use, and show up in your activity club app so friends can see.  There are also options to do challenges and other things as well!!  I just downloaded it today so I am not well experienced with it yet, and only have one of my previous friends added so far, but I am excited about it!!!  🙂

I will try it also, but from your description it look very similar to
Stridekick. 🙂

Stridekick does work with the applewatch, but your friends on fitbit have to install the app too for you to be able to invite them to your challenge

It's sad that Fitbit doesn't want to support Apple Watch. I got one today and I have quit Fitbit.

i really like the Fitbit app and want to do challenges. I am willing to pay a subscription fee for the feature. But the fact that Fitbit doesn't want to do this is frustrating.

i think this attitude will result in the death of Fitbit as a company. The market keeps changing. You have to adopt to survive and lead. This closed mindset will never win.

sorry to leave Fitbit... but... Good bye!

I feel like working with apple to let us, the users, give the Fitbit app permission to sync with the health app would be something simple, and profitable for your company. I'm sure those of us that use the Apple Watch would love to be able to still compete with our friends and wouldn't mind paying a small reasonable fee for this feature.

I have slowly upgraded my fitbits over the years and have finally gotten an Apple Watch. I LOVE the Fitbit challenges and use the feature frequently. I would happily pay a small fee to have the features integrated because I enjoy the iOS integration of my Apple Watch. How is this not something that Fitbit is willing to do?! This will be the downfall of Fitbit. So many love the features!

Please the apple watch compatibility, which I'd like to use in conjunction with my Charge HR.
