Integrate with iOS Health

Hi there,

I'm really excited about Apple's announcement of the Health App in iOS 8 to be release this fall.  I'm looking forward to seeing a product announcement by Fitbit for a successor to the recalled Fitbit Force, and I'm really hoping to hear some exciting news about Fitbits intigration with Apple's new Health App to be released alongside iOS 8 this fall.

This is a huge oportunity to make your devices even smarter and more integrated - Please support these APIs!  Thanks!

I think the blaze needs to be made smaller for women with small wrist. Not the band but the blaze itself.  Compared to apple watch 3 which is perfect size. I know several women that bought apple due to looks, size etc.

I think that could be looked at in the future, but I am 6 foot tall, and the size (width wise) is great. The only band length that fits me where the blaze should rest is the XL. I can see this being an issue for more petite ladies (and men even!)

This would be great if it were flat like apple and available in different sizes to accommodate everyone

Please make it come true this year! So many people want it!

Even though I know Apple Health and Nike+ Fuel might be considered competitors, it would be awesome if the steps, floors, miles and calories (and whatever other possible data), could sync back and forth between Fitbit and both Apple Health and Nike+ Fuel.  I use my Fitbit as my main device, but I like to see the stats in Apple Health and Nike+ Fuel too (even though I don't have a fuel band or whatever it's called, the Nike+ Fuel App uses my iPhone to track, as does my Apple Health app, and I use the Fitbit app on the iPhone as well).  It would be great for all of those apps that I use on the phone to sync with one another so the stats are accurate and consistent.  For instance, before I had an actual Fitbit device, it would have been nice for Apple Health "Flights Climbed" to sync with the Fitbit "floors", and vice versa now that I have the Fitbit device, along with other stats.

you all can continue to complain that there's no way to sync to health app or if you have an iPhone get the Power Sync app which  automatically syncs your activity from Fitbit to the Health app

None of the syncing apps do intra-day syncing though due to another silly FitBit policy of not letting apps access the data, even though it is there if you make a personal app.  A third party app can access the data if they become a partner app but nobody has been able to get permission from FitBit.

Dear Fitbit -- this is MY DATA, not yours.  If I want to give it to a third party, it's mine to give.  Please stop blocking access to my data.  Greed like this just makes me think less of you.

I have tried these third party alternatives, and the problem with them, as has been stated by hundreds (if not thousands) of others, is that these apps don't account for the data that already collected in AppleHealth. For example, if I wear my AppleWatch and my Fitbit at the same time and my AppleWatch logs one step to AppleHealth, then when I use the third party apps they log one step from Fitbit. Now, AppleHealth shows two steps when I only took one step.

I use iOS HealthKit on a weekly basis so integration would be very nice... I don't see why Fitbit keep ignoring all these posts! Please look past rivalry with Apple and allow users to do what they want with their data

Please allow full integration with Health Kit, all sources (phone, watch, etc.).

Just bought a Flex 2.  I don't want to have to use a third party app in order to get my steps imported into IOS Health Kit.  This is a business decision that Fitbit is making.  Why, I have no idea.  They won't lose market share, they won't lose the data, they may lose some use of their web portal. But they're losing so much more business by not integrating.

Why is this feature request in the top listing with only 1 vote when there is another feature request for Health Kit integration with 5,500 votes and 188 pages of comments that is buried. It should be at the top of the heap. https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/Integrate-with-iOS-Health/idc-p/2112728#M114866

Please, please, please integrate the FitBit info with Apple HealthKit. I use HealthKit to track thins that the FitBit app doesn't but love my FitBit Charge 2. One of the main features I love about it is the sleep analysis (something the iPhone doesn't do with any degree of accuracy).

Please allow the app info to sync so we can all have a better view of our overall health.

The ability to share information across platforms makes all my devices more useful.

Yes please. I assumed my Fitbit synced with the Apple Health app when I bought it. Bummed that it doesn't

I'm still waiting for the day that Apple Watch data can be used for Fitbit dashboard and competitions, even if Fitbit charged a subscription fee to allow this.

So, what is the threshold that FitBit needs to implement a feature?  I was looking at the current list of active requests and in the hot and top settings, I see 1000-2000 votes, yet this feature has 5500 votes.  What is going on?

Great observation.  Obviously what is NOT going on is Fitbit listening to and responding to their customers.  I think it's time to start a Facebook campaign.  Visibly unhappy users showing up on social media might get their attention.  Hard to say.  Doesn't seem like a great way to run a company to me.

I went ahead and messaged them on Facebook to see what they would say.  I'll post their reply here.  I encourage everyone to write to them directly and post their reply here as they do not seem to be taking this seriously.  I think a few thousand emails might get their attention.

I'd love for my FitBit to be able to share data with Apple's Health app!

I think it's a MUST...don't force us to use Apple Watch instead

Hey, good idea! I didn't even think of that. Yeah, who needs a fitbit anyhow? You mean they have competition?
