Integrate with iOS Health

Hi there,

I'm really excited about Apple's announcement of the Health App in iOS 8 to be release this fall.  I'm looking forward to seeing a product announcement by Fitbit for a successor to the recalled Fitbit Force, and I'm really hoping to hear some exciting news about Fitbits intigration with Apple's new Health App to be released alongside iOS 8 this fall.  

This is a huge oportunity to make your devices even smarter and more integrated - Please support these APIs!  Thanks!

Looks like Apple finally has the HealthKit bug fixed with iOS 8.0.2. When is Fitbit going to join in?

I take it for granted that FitBit will integrate with HealthKit, just hope it won't take long.

Here's another one in support for HealthKit. I really want all my health stuff in one place and the Health app seems to be the best candidate for that right now. If Fitbit does not get integrated, it's not unlikely that I'll be seriously looking for an alternative, but for now I'd hope Fitbit does integrate as I'm not sold on the AppleWatch.

The fact that FitBit wasn't ready to pair with the Healthkit app when it was released (8.0.2) is alarming. When will this happen?

I am on my second replacement Flex (charge issue). My wife has one, but my son is holding off to see how long my third one works.

We're an Apple family and, as the last person said, it's alarming FitBit isn't ready for the HealthKit.

I'm pretty sure a sustained failure here will cause us to migrate to a diferent product that better integrates with our lives.

I am very frustrated that even though Fitbit lists Apple as a partner that no accommodation has been made as yet for the new Healthkit app. I strongly support the goal of getting this done ASAP.

Sure wish I could thumb this up 100+ times.  I would love this feature more than anything.  I love my fitbit and wouldn't change a thing about it at this time (other than maybe making it smaller, but not at the result of lost battery life).  I've been using the firbit and so has my wife for wow...since you guys released it I believe.

healthkit would just be icing on the cake. I'll be honest though, if you do NOT add it to HealthKIt.....This includes my Aura scale I use through you...I WILL eventually replace you for one that does support HealthKit.

SO please, dont make me replace you.  PLEASSSE dont!  Integrate your scale and fitbit into the iOS 8 healthkit!

Folks,

Apple put the brakes on everyone when there were problems with 8. Then there were problems with 8.0.1. 8.0.2 just came out yesterday. Apple is also very controlling about letting apps and updates through the App Store. We might not be waiting on fitbit here. The ball might still be in Apple's court.

Fitbit team, I hope you realize how much your customers really want the ability to have "our health information" that Fitbit collect shared with Apple's Healthkit.

Your company has had since early June to evaluate the changes that would be needed in order for your application to integrate with HealthKit Regardless of the recent bugs Apple found related to HealthKit your comapny could and should have already announced your plans one way of the other.

The fact that 4 months on your company is still not willing to include your "customers" in on your plans to support HealthKit or not is very concerning to me. It makes me question your companies motives and our relationship.

I really like FitBit. But the lack of communication (one way or the other) is really disconcerting. Also asking people to 'vote' for a feature like this is even worse. Have you not had four months to weigh these issues internally? Whatever future purchase I make will take things like HealthKit into consideration. Why wouldn't I pick the solution that 'speaks' to all my other health apps? The lack of communicated vision from the company post-Force is astounding.
