Integration with Google Fit

I'd very much like my fitbit data available in Google Fit. I use a different app for food logging, but Fitbit's step counter, sleep tracker, and aria are great.

If their data was available through the new Google Fit it would be fantastic.

Great work by Fitbit as usual. No response.

I'm in for Google fit integration.

So, there's the math done. Fitbit people, what do you think?

I'm selling my fitbit. I feel very strongly that health sensors will be a big part of mordern personal health and I hate to see Fitbits attitude toward data stifle this future but locking away our data.

Goodbye Fitbit.

I am also over the lack of data merge. Seemingly like everyone else I use different devices for different things and I am tired of logging things twice. IF MFP and Fitbit can play nice then so can Garmin and Fitbit. It isnt a contest because each has their strengths. I prefer the garmin to run but love the social aspect of the Fitbit. Unfortunately in the near future fitbit is going to lose. I need the garmin features. Fitbit just cant do that but they could keep me as a customer and keep me from selling my THREE fitbits theorhetically stealing three new customers. Your call FITBIT.

I think Google gives away for free what others like to charge extra $$ for Smiley Wink

The data #sync and #integration between #Fitbit and #GoogleFit #AndroidWear is a must!

Not applicable

Although it's nice to sometimes think the best of companies, there's generally one motivational factor - money. What money can they make by putting resources into Google fit sync? None. Not unless they make an Android wear watch. I want this to happen too, but I highly doubt it unless an Android Wear watch from Fitbit hits the shelves.

If they do not do it, the users will start buying devices that can do that. If there are no devices like that right now, that is a perfect place to fill the market. I, as a customer whant my data to sync between the default android fitness app and the devices that I use, and "I am right".

They have a monetary incentive to implement Fit integration and in general open their platform for Integration. People are asking for it and will just look elsewhere if Fitbit ignore them.

Countless of companies that were leading their marked failed and disappeared because they were too slow to adapt to their users needs.

Nokia was the phone market leader 10 years ago.

Fitbit is (has been?) the fit-devices leader. I'm pretty sure they'll not be for long if they keep this up.

I'm switching elsewhere at the first occasion.

This is the only thing keeping me from buying a Fitbit

It's important to speak up! If they do not take into consideration, we can agree to protest by putting both Fitbit and AndroidWear down for a day or longer. The users are clearly not happy, and who is happy, does not necessary know about this functionality.

I bought the Charge 2 a few days ago, believing that it would (obviously) integrate with Google Fit. Big disappointment. I hope that integration will be possible in a near future,  but for now I see this forum thread has been ignored for too long...

We can organize a protest. Fitbits and Android Wear off for a day, if they do not take action - for longer. What would you say?

That it won't make a bit of difference. We've already bought the devices. They wont be hurting if we take them off. The only way would be to hurt future sales. Figure that out and you'll get them moving.

It absolutely will.

That's like saying "I bought this Craftsman toolset with lifetime warranty. But they don't make it with this particular tool. I know I'm going to stop using the tools I bought. That'll teach them." It makes no difference.

Fitbit has their website up for our benefit. The app is for our benefit. Yes they do pull useful data from the devices themselves but overall they've got what they want.

Now if you were to say you were going to protest the auto industry by not driving you car for a week and got enough people to follow you that would matter. That would effect the oil and gasoline industries.

Tell me how not wearing my Fitbit device for a day is going to effect the company that already has my money.

I agree. Pls add integration with Google Fit. Thanks!

@AdamSmith I believe a stronger protest and more effective is if you go to your Amazon account and rate Fitbit devices with a low score and explain that they lack Google Fit integration. That should make someone at Fitbit react.

The same for their app on Google Play.

Doing this right now.

we can also contact support about it. They will point you here, It's how i discovered this thread.

So make sure to say you already voted the feature request along with 1259 other persons and that Fitbit has been ignoring it for more then 2 years.

Yep! I posted my opinion on all Fitbit items on Amazon. I gave it 2 stars. This functionality worth 3 stars to me. Everyone can go and express their opinion on Amazon and other sites. I am going to do it on Google Play app store on Fitbit application.
