Integration with external HR sensor and Stryd

Allow the ability to connect to external HR sensors (such as the Polar H10) as well as running pods (such as the Stryd). I'm an active Fitbit Premium member without a Fitbit device. I had seen rumors of the Sense. I was excited to come back. Is this a fitness device? If so, why can't I connect to fitness accessories (like I can on EVERY competitor)

Thanks for sharing this suggestion. Our web API and smartwatch SDK are open which means that the service you are wanting can actually integrate with Fitbit. We’d encourage you to make this suggestion to the service and direct them to our existing API and SDK and resources such as the web dev API community. You will likely be able to email them via their contact us page or customer support, or they may have their own ideas board like this. Or encourage them to reach out to Fitbit directly. Allow Fitbit Sense to be paired with external HR sensors. Other manufacturers of Fitness trackers already offer this feature.

Fitbit so far has been very clear that it is not going to support external sensors.

Anything is possible, and it’s the squeaky door that gets the oil. Google are a lot smarter operators than the previous owner and they just might make some welcomed improvements.  They do listen to their customers so ....

This feature suggestion already exists, so I've moved it into a similar request. While we don’t currently have plans to release this feature, we always appreciate the passion and creativity that comes out of this Community.
