I agree. A simple intermittent fasting timer would go a long way. I would prefer if it worked independently of other fasting apps and was just internal
Great. I would love this. I usually fast 16:8 but sometimes I vary it on good/bad days, I only do it on certain days. So it would be handy to set timers (although I usually know) but also to be able to be flexible, to set a plan and alter it as needed.

let us add acetone breath reading for being in ketosis to register what stage of fasting we are in. Blood tests aren't something I would take but a breathalyzer is less expensive and doesn't require pricking skin. Adding acetone readings from breathalyzers and calculating exercise readings while fasting helps determine stages of fasting we are in as we go that is interesting when we are trying to lose weight and keeps my mind more engaged. This would be great because more and more people are doing IF and are more interested in how to get into stages of IF, especially fat burning for myself...or, Fitbit could connect with Zero to automatically add information into Fitbit. I don't want to add data into every fitness app I use which are three apps. Also sleep apps could integrate with Fitbit to automatically add my sleep hours every night. I hate entering all that date. Logging food into cronometer, etc., if Fitbit could connect with all these apps it would be great and keep it easy.
Intermittent Fasting tracking is all Fitbit is missing for me. If you add that, I'll stay in the Fitbit platform forever. But if someone else can give me the same tracker functionality with IF tracking all bundled together, it would make sense for me to switch.
I need intermittent tracking fasting in my Fitbit app, otherwise Fitbit is no longer the most convenient option for me. Please build.
I'm an 18 to 6 IF. Please add this feature. There are a number of long haulers using fasting to improve our health.
By the way, my doctor, who is an internist addressing my health issues that are not related to long covid, suggested IF for weight loss to improve my health issue I had prior to covid. IF finally enabled me to break my plateau despite being wheelchair bound for months.
Has the Fitbit team decided to move forward with adding an Intermittent Fasting Timer to the app? There are apps out there for it but it would be great to have it on the FitBit app!
Wow, it's crazy this hasn't happened yet after so much time. I know that even after years of owning a fitbit, I'd switch in a hot minute to the first company that provides a wearable fitness tracker with this function. I hope it's fitbit.
