Let us delete in-app notifications/messages

This is clogging up my iphone. I have a year or more worth of useless Fitbit notification messages I'd like to shed. I saw a 'solved' notice in here from a year ago stating it was resolved by stating there is no solution. This is simply ignoring the myriads of request/votes of customer requests/concerns to fix it. Fitbit should have had a REAL solution by now and apparently do not. In reality this problem has not been resolved but simply is being ignored by the company/moderator. The solution 'solved' to put a vote in ideas does not address the real concern or issue at hand. What's the point of a community forum if Fitbit does not listen to its customers? The thread should have flagged Fitbit/moderator to produce a real fix, we're still waiting.

It is not just about being able to delete things but I would like to keep things that are important too. Please allow the user to decide what is kept and what is deleted.

Thanks!

Unfortunately, Fitbit executive could care less what we, the customers want! I have posted more that 15 comments and the only response I ever got was when they don't post a comment that includes legal action!

Please provide Users with an option to customize and remove notifications on the “Notification” section on the FitBit App if they chose to. Currently there is no option available to delete old notifications

Amen to that. Is there anyone out there who likes these notifications? If so we would like to hear from you.

I think LIZ of FITBIT is maybe the one who REALLY likes these notifications

I think that we ALL know that Fitbit does NOT care about their customers! It’s time for ALL of us to now use Facebook to let EVERYONE know this before they buy an FitBit product!!

With so many complaints registered, perhaps the FitBit hierarchy is unaware of the large number of unhappy customers. There is no discussion of deleting past posts, although you can stop receiving the notification. That is like chewing your food and not swallowing!

Good analogy. But remember why care when they've already got your money?

Your welcome. Now check to see how far back your daily exercise is kept. But these can be deleted manually. Therefore is those can be deleted why not the notifications too?

You will need to wait for Liz at Fitbit to allow that. I know of no way to delete them. From what I know that is not going to occur in the near or distant future.

Allow notifications to be deleted and delete automatically after a week. I have hundreds of them -sure they must be taking up memory on my phone. My friend walked Africa weeks ago and every time I go onto the friends tab it’s there! It’s driving me mad!

Do you realize, notifications are not the only item that can not be deleted? The only item that can be deleted are the daily exercise logs. So sleep, are you ready to move, heart rate, weight, fluid intake and diet stats can not be deleted and they probably take up more space than notifications! But you can stop notifications from popping up.

The notifications are not needed after they’re read.  Please update app to allow us to do that without having to go into the settings and turn off notifications altogether.  I don’t mind getting them, I just don’t want to see them after I’ve read them.  They take up precious memory needlessly.  Please fix!  You have almost 700 requests for this.  I think it’s worth the small tweak to the app!!

I agree, we’ve been trying for over a year to do this!

I’m believing that this is a “Facebook moment” for Fitbit!! All for profit and screw the customers!

I can’t see why there is a hesitation to program this simple update to the app!

I'm with the consensus. It's very frustrating that we can't remove these messages. Please Fitbit let us delete notifications.
