Maintain Fitbit web dashboard going forward

As an older user, my eyesight and hand eye coordination are poor. So, I prefer the website dashboard on my PC. That dashboard keeps directing us to the mobile app. Please assure you will continue maintaining both as I cannot rely solely on the mobile app. Please consider all of your customers when providing tools. Many thanks!

Phone = Small Screen and thumb typing in information like water, weight, and meals. The browser based Dashboard was MUCH easier to use, and I accessed it daily.

The Future Is Looking Bleak For Fitbit Fans

From a recent article by Andrew Williams, a Forbes contributor, "The Pixel Watch 3 is a WearOS watch, one you can expect to last a day or so off a charge, rather than the better part of a week like the Fitbit Sense 2.

"Google haș since released a statement on the matter, following a slew of reports that read a little like a Fitbit eulogy. The message: Fitbit isn’t gone yet. But Google has not outwardly denied the company’s higher-end Fitbit watches will cease to exist in the future.

“We are very committed to Fitbit, and even more importantly to the customers that use and depend on those products and technology,” says Google.

“It's also worth noting that many of the health and fitness features we launched in Pixel Watch 3 were because of Fitbit's innovation and ground-breaking fitness advancements. In addition, we just launched Fitbit Ace LTE, and you’ll continue to see new products and innovation from Fitbit.”

Mr. Williams surmises that: "It seems fairly safe to conclude the Fitbit Sense and Versa lines are most likely done for, or at least won’t get an upgrade in the mold seen to date."

Bring back the webpage dashboard.  Arbitrarily changing things do NOT make them better only makes us users angry.

People love data, personal data and mostly the visualization of that data.  Imagine what a selling point it would be for Google to come back with an even more fully functional and interactive Dashboard for Fitbit/Google devices.  Especially reinvigorating to former devoted Fitbit users who have since soured on the product.  The ROI would be considerable.  I'd even be willing to pay for it as part of the Premium service if necessary.  Google, please reconsider giving users what they want.

In the meantime, restoring the retired Dashboard would be much appreciated.

Wouldn't it be great to be able to access your fitbit data from a computer, such as a laptop or PC? You could browse all your past data and see goals for the future. It would keep you engaged with the fitbit product and make you happy you can use it any time at your discretion

Agree. The food database was terrific but it's unusable now. Does anyone
know of a manual food database where one can enter food v exercise manually?

@JFish84  the ability to see our dashboard on computers was removed July 8th. Doubt they will return it.

I'm pretty sure Google and a Fitbit management and execs will use dashboards to review the many performance statistics - they won't rely on an app.

Bring back the dashboard, and improve it as a selling point.

How are you liking the website?

I have been using Lose It, which worked beautifully before the website was
gone. It still works nicely but it doesn't seem to sync up with fitbit the
way it used to. And exercisequest shows the graphs in more detail but it
doesn't sync well with that either. I have all the information on need,
but in 3 different places. I'm hanging in until my fitbit dies.

I realy think Google does not care, but would  like to know how to give Google all the pain and frustration they have given us all that use the web app,One thing is I will not be buying another fitbit or recommending it to any of my friends again.

I don't know where to answer, but the exercisequest website is somewhat
helpful, not fully complete. This fitbit community website is difficult to
navigate and find anything. Lose It is great. I didn't even think my
answer went through and don't know if this will, but it's taking way too
much time to navigate it all.

My MyFitnessPal gets calories burned and weight data from the Fitbit app. It blows away the Fitbit portal

Do they have a diet tracker?

The web dashboard provided far more utility - especially for several classes of users whose health status requires the web version's 1) data granularity, 2) meal building, 3) food item/portion customizing and more, and which status can also prevent their effective use of the mobile app.

Over and above those values, the web dashboard uses existing data to advise users when their Fitbit devices are running low on power.  This "push" feature is also eminently available - but not installed - on the mobile app - which harvests that data from the Fitbit, has the email of the owner and can easily be coded to send the status alert in email, as before with the web version.  Connecting those dots is a no-brainer.

@Odyssey13, while the web portal restoration's upvote status is not yet in the top 5, it's very popular.  Why do you believe they won't bring it back to life?

Ever since they did away with the browser dashboard, i have found the Fitbit to be less and less valuable.  Am already looking for a replacement since this isn't giving me the same kind of information or the ability to add/edit like before.  What's the point if the feedback from the device isn't even useful?  Way to lose a longstanding Fitbit user.  This is probably my 4th device and likely my last.

It may interest folks to know about an effort to fill the gap:  Fitness Dashboard, using the Fitbit API to provide features of the (legacy?) web portal and some of its own.  Whatever google does or doesn't choose to do, this can work as a stopgap and more going forward.

Agree.  It’s easier to work on a bigger screen like this iPad, etc.
