Maintain Fitbit web dashboard going forward

As an older user, my eyesight and hand eye coordination are poor. So, I prefer the website dashboard on my PC. That dashboard keeps directing us to the mobile app. Please assure you will continue maintaining both as I cannot rely solely on the mobile app. Please consider all of your customers when providing tools. Many thanks!

Bring back the web dashboard. I have no desire to install yet another app just to replace one website, and I have no desire to try to squint at a graph on my phone screen instead of looking at it on a nice big monitor.

I'll carry on using my Fitbit Aria until it dies, but there's no chance I'll be buying another Fitbit product to replace it, if there's no web interface.

I do not understand why the Dashboard on my PC is being discontinued? It has been a great resource for me. I am so sorry Fitbit was taken over by Google. I suppose Google wanted to eliminate the competition from their products. No I have to have Google account for my Fitbit. I would like the phone number to speak to a human representative. Please provide one.

Thank you

Robert

I don't think that talking with a human is part of Google's business plan.
However, if you manage to FIND a phone number to a human, plz share it and
we will ALL call it.

I really need the old Fitbit dashboard back!  The only reason I have stayed with Fitbit is because the dashboard is detailed and I can export detailed sleep data.  The new sleep score is useless!

Let me explain. I have a profoundly disabled son who does not live with me any more (the joys of growing old).  He wears the Fitbit and his sleep patterns can be observed remotely - he can have very poor sleep and that can affect his behaviour.  We also export his sleep data, load it into Excel and look for patterns in his sleep - daytime naps, lots of awake time.  We used to do this each month.  His psychologist and I have noted patterns (sleep disruptions) when he could be getting sick (he is immunocompromised).  The new approach is not doubt cheaper to maintain (no web portal, no detailed data to store) but fails to help us.  At the very least, I need to get to the sleep data as Fitbit originally had it.

Attached are examples of the charts we plot from the data.

Try this:  https://dashboard.exercise.quest/

It's a 3rd-party app that does what Fitbit/Google are not willing to do.  Much cleaner than the old dashboard and meeting the needs/requests of the customers -- something the company clearly has no interested in doing themselves.

I have been carefully keeping track of food intake on my iPhone app, thinking I could download that data as a .csv or Excel file onto my laptop, then bring it to my next health appointment. I'm trying to see what may contribute to my elevated A1C lately. I am sooooooooooooooo disappointed at the changes made in the Google approach to FitBit.

The dashboard portal offered users a great backup facility when we run into problems with the app. Removal was a big step backwards for Fitbit and Google

my fitbit died yesterday,  in need of a new fitness tracker I switched to a Garmin,  probably my main concern was  being able to track my activities and workouts on my computer OR my phone,  when my wife's fitbit fails we will search elsewhere as well,

I miss the dashboard, but doubt that Google will ever restore it.  This (https://dashboard.exercise.quest/, shared by Recovery Runner, has been a good alternative.

Accessed and added. Simple and will no doubt get improved as time goes by. Great resource.

Fortunately FB 4.23 has resolved my issues with activity logs crashing after 3 hours of logging.

Couldn't agree more, why as long time customers are we being blanked by Google/FitBit it's rubbish customer service.

Yes others are saying there's third party equivalents to the dashboard but I don't want another app to log into and to share my data with another 3rd party thanks very much.

I want the access to that data for myself in the first instance, just the raw data is OK, nothing more nothing demanding is it?

Then I can extract and transfer into my own FitBit Dashboard in Excel which I've been maintaining since Sept 2016 and stop the need for manually scrolling through each day of the month and typing into my spreadsheet manually like you'd imagine you might have needed to do in about 1980 something!

It is very telling that after tens of thousands of complaints over removing web access to the dashboard that there is been no response from a Fitbit administrator.

True throughout your message. However, no doubt the FB and Google developer teams are almost as frustrated as we users are. They know perfectly well what's logical and what an end user is looking for.  However, mount they are assigned priorities and our need are well down the list as we have already bought the hardware.

Bought a fitbit 6 weeks ago to replace the old one. Then web access disappears. Developers culled. It's all pixel now.I would find an alternative, I did.

Yes it is and deplorable on their part.

it appears that many people are dissatisfied with the change that mandates tracking data using a phone,  As it seems Google really does not care to support these users, it seems logical to stop using google as a search engine,  limit, if you can, using google products,  will they change? probably not but where you spend your $$$ matters

I guess we are stuck with whatever our "My Foods" is?

Phone = Small Screen and thumb typing in information like water, weight, and meals. The browser based Dashboard was MUCH easier to use, and I accessed it daily.

The Future Is Looking Bleak For Fitbit Fans

From a recent article by Andrew Williams, a Forbes contributor, "The Pixel Watch 3 is a WearOS watch, one you can expect to last a day or so off a charge, rather than the better part of a week like the Fitbit Sense 2.

"Google haș since released a statement on the matter, following a slew of reports that read a little like a Fitbit eulogy. The message: Fitbit isn’t gone yet. But Google has not outwardly denied the company’s higher-end Fitbit watches will cease to exist in the future.

“We are very committed to Fitbit, and even more importantly to the customers that use and depend on those products and technology,” says Google.

“It's also worth noting that many of the health and fitness features we launched in Pixel Watch 3 were because of Fitbit's innovation and ground-breaking fitness advancements. In addition, we just launched Fitbit Ace LTE, and you’ll continue to see new products and innovation from Fitbit.”

Mr. Williams surmises that: "It seems fairly safe to conclude the Fitbit Sense and Versa lines are most likely done for, or at least won’t get an upgrade in the mold seen to date."

Bring back the webpage dashboard.  Arbitrarily changing things do NOT make them better only makes us users angry.
