Make Heart Rate Data export in Excel/CSV format

Please add the heart rate data to the reports that can be downloaded/exported.  The ones for the activity and sleep are perfect but since I have a pacemaker I really need to have one to print out for my cardiologist showing how often I rise above the set pace.

Thank you

being able to download the heart rate would be great.

have CHF and my cardiologist would love to see this info.

i screen capture my exercise sessions so she can see the rates there and I can labe the High and Low values and love you have the average there now.

Is there somewhere that shows what you are using as the values on the heart rate tile for : FAT BURN / CARDIO / PEAK or a way I can calculate the the range for it.  My cardiologist loves the chart but can not corolate what the values means.

Thanks

I have added my vote on the Exporting HR data. For me, i would like to use it to help diagnose a Bradycardia issue I have.

My Fitbit Surge has been tracking my heart rate since February... the data is there, it would save a lot of time tracking further samples.

FITBIT PLEASE - allow the HR data to be exported!

Fitbits. API now can export data, and it should be possie to use it and a script to dump your HR into a Google sheet. Some searching on the the web or a friend who knows programming could help.

White that's *something*, it is not acceptable. In order to use the API you have to email the development team to get access,  create an application (even if just a simple google web app) and then register it with FitBit.

None of us should have to do this to get access to our own data. There needs to be support for export from the website or the smartphone app of raw heart rate data, and it should not be a premium service (except maybe for historical data more than x days/weeks old).

No the point is that we want to export HR data of a workout from the
website the same way we export TCX data of workouts.
We don't want to have to write a program ourselves to do it, it should be
provided out-of-the-box.
The API should be used for custom requests, like the HR of a custom range,
a complete day, etc...
HR for workouts should just be another option along the "Export to .TCX"
one.

I am a programmer... so will look into the fitbit API. Whilst I agree with it being an option, I am not concerned with having to write an app to get it out.

And for me - TDA - it is for all HR data, regardless of the activity.

I'm not saying it is acceptable, just saying that it is an option. To access this data you do not have to contact anybody to gain access. Step by step instructions can be found on the web, it took me 10 minutes to get a script up and working, yes I program but no nothing about Google scripts. Copy Paste added a little info where it told me to.

HI  I also was interested in the heart rate information.....if one uses one of the exercise functions on the Surge, one is abe to bring up the data on the heart rate for the duration of the exercise period, which can be seen on the dashboard...I am going to try tonight to see if it will record all night when in an exercise mode...now if the company will give the customers the ability to download the data shown on the screen, it would be tremendous...the program gives a minute by minute account of your heart beat during the exercise period

I wonder if they don't want to provide the HR data because they don't want to provide "health information" that isn't necessarily accurate. I know that my fitbit can't keep up with my HR changes, and also when moving it around on my wrist, it shows numbers that are definitely inaccurate. In any case, it would be nice to hear an explanation.

Yes....I agree that the data is not perfect and is many times
varied.....the work out system takes a reading every minute. I do not know
if this is one data point taken out of the minute time frame or an average
of the minute time....either way, it still gives an indication of what is
going on and I would like to see the data, probably with a disclamer re the
above and the issue with reading from the wrist. When I have my pulse
taken by a Dr. it is an avg of a period of time multiplied to a minute
most of the time, so whatever they can provide would be useful in my humble
opinion.

I have a terrible feeling that you may be right @kimlw. The data may be suprisingly awful. Here are my last 8 exercise sessions:

Hi Rich

Thanks for that.

Have to brush up on my coding skills (20 years a tester so could be fun 😉 )

RE HR.....I used my Fitbit Surge, and activated one of the workout
programs....Spinning,,, which I do not use...It was activated at 10 PM last
night, and I finished the session at 6 A.M...I checked the files on the
fitbit site and checked the Spinning session...It showed the full 8 hours
of HR activity in 1 minute increments.....This is one way to see the HR for
the day...I am playing with it today to see if it goes past a 10 hr session

I have used the treadmill mode during a 16 hour work shift. Starting at 2:30pm.and ending about 6:30. So yes I get 1 minute readouts for this 16 hours.

Since at work I walk I chose treadmill since it leaves the GPS off.

Yes, I'm very disappointed the HR data isn't freely available for exporting. why is it taking so long to enable this??

I don't think they are monitoring this

Seriously? You can't export HR Data from a Charge HR? What's the point of he HR then? - those silly low res graphs are a waste of time. I'd like my data please!!

You have also withdrawn the facilities to track blood pressure and user defined metrics

What sort of company treats its client data like this?

Sad but true! And we all know what happens to organisations who stop listening to customers.

This has gotten ridiculous. The whole reason I bought a fitbit was soley for the heart rate data, but unfortunalty this **ahem**ty company lied when they said that you're able to export your data but that is just simply not true at all. What a **ahem**ing joke this company is. Definatly will try my hardest to spread the word and let people know that this company is a piece of **ahem** and they should avoid it.

If you haven't already, you might express your opinion by voting on this issue.  Things probably won't change unless they see enough interest.

@Kevin_H that is exactly what the suggested center forum is for, is the votes that count. Quick view, bicycle tracking on Surge,, tap to scroll through stats, auto sleep were all in response to the votes.

Hi, I just bought a fitbit charge HR, great product.

Except that you cannot export your heart rate monitored during excercise. This was the whole reason for me to buy the Charge HR. I guess I did'nt take time to check if HR export was possible before I bought because I just assumed.

This product is great if you can export your data, otherwise for me at least, it has the value of a chocolate teapot.

Kind regards

I agree.  This would is the item i would be most interested in for the next feature.  I like the idea of having pace too, which by the way does not show up on the Android app alot of the time.
