Make Heart Rate Data export in Excel/CSV format

Please add the heart rate data to the reports that can be downloaded/exported.  The ones for the activity and sleep are perfect but since I have a pacemaker I really need to have one to print out for my cardiologist showing how often I rise above the set pace.

Thank you

I would really like to export my Heart rate and email it to my doctor.

My doctor has asked for it as they love being able to assist me with my health.

If I could have exported to Apple Health that would be great as well!

I was Told once that FitBit was not looking at working Aplle to do this, not sure if this is the case, however, if it is I will be dissapointed in FitBit.

I find if I use the activities of any nature or running of any nature and
let the fitbit run for any amount of time I want, it will give me a file
under the files section showing the heart rate during the period saved.

If you want tosend it to your dr. you can give him access to your file or
take a screen picture of the data to forward to your doc.

 Thank you BRH.

I tried to find that on mine but sadly I coudn't.

I emailed FitBit and they said that they are looking into it and may have it someday.

I have taken some screen shots and sent it to them. I hope it helps them a bit.

Which Fitbit do you have???? I have the Surge and I am able to track Yoga,
Spinning, Running, Elipitcal, and other activities. When I start the
program, it runs, and at the finish of the activity, I stop and save the
file. Under the Fitbit web site, there is a location which shows the
information on the activity....Recent Exercise....This is the spot where I
find the tracking of the heart rate for the period of time I use. At the
top of the file it gives the start date and time, which can be then matched
with the time of day...or one can start it at midnight, then it is in the
24 hr. clock.

I signed up for premium - after 6 months of having a charge HR - just to download my HR data (the signup page says "your data is yours", it doesn't say "some of your data is yours").

I love fitbit in general, have bought One trackers for my sisters and both my parents, and i'm on my second device myself, but the premium sales pitch seems dishonest.

Is there any plan to release HR data? Or is there any way to get my 40 pounds back?

Like many others here I have paid for premium to get my HR data. I cannot get my HR data. I'm now going to pursue a refund on the premium.

Sigh.

Hi BHR,

I have the fitbit Charge HR.

The doctors phoned and asked that I go in for an ECG.

I might look at that sometime to go in and have it done, large bill though.

Please Fitbit, come up with an ETA! I have a feeling your company will rise or fall with this. Transparency and integration is KEY to the future.

I believe that we are going about this in the wrong way. Clearly, once the check clears the bank Fitbit no longer feels the need to interact with the customer. It is obvious that Fitbit has again failed to think through their process. Just because the device was ready to be shipped did not mean that it was ready for market. Without access to the raw heart rate data the buying public is left with a defective product. Sort of along the lines of removing manual logging, journals, and measurements before providing a reliable way for the user to export their data, giving enough notice that the user actually has time to remove said data, and prominently displaying notifications on all web pages in HTML so that ALL browsers can display them. The Charge HR is a great idea but poorly executed. The export tool should have been in place before the first device was sold. Maybe the rush to their IPO influenced their lack of foresight, I don't know.

Personally, I did a lot of research before purchasing my Charge HR. None of the press releases, information pages, or the Fitbit dashboard indicated that you could not download the heart rate data. All of the data collected from my Fitbit One is accessible, leading me to believe that all of the HR data would be as there was no disclaimer stating otherwise. You only find this out when you actually try to access that data. The resting heart rate is of no use to me if I can't see or use all of the collected heart rate data. The little graphs are cute but pretty much useless for anything more that a cursory glance. I read many reviews before laying out the considerable expense to purchase my Charge HR. I knew about the lost connections during high intensity workouts and that sweat will often cause the device to stop reading heart rates. I thought I knew what I was getting. Due to recent surgery a chest strap was not a viable choice and because I am a long time Fitbit user I decided to stick with their product. Unless this lack of export issue is corrected very soon I will have to replace my HR and will be leaving Fitbit behind as an expensive and hard lesson learned. Maybe someone on eBay would want it?

In the meantime, I will be posting to every publication and author that I read, while determining whether to make this purchase, to inform them of this lack of functionality and disregard of customer needs. In addition, I will be actively contacting retailers advising them of these problems so that the customer backlash can be properly directed to where it belongs, Fitbit.

This is the course I am going to take so that other unsuspecting purchasers won't be duped. I apologize that this is so long.

Still no option to export even the minimum of a daily Resting heart rate and minutes in zones. Starting to get beyond a joke now.

I would like to be able to import heart rate data directly from e.g. an chest band ant+ heart rate monitor.

This would be a good supplement to my fitbit charge HR which is doing a good job tracking my activities and heart rate on a daily basis and my runs but seems to have difficulties when I am doing my calisthenic training with a lot of fast movements.

I am testing a Sync Solver application that transfers resting heart rate to a spread sheet, but I don't believe the continuous rate can be tracked...

it seems to be a premium function.

@kaligirl2, correct! It is not possible to export our continuous heart rate. That data is only available when the GPS is turned on during tracking an activity. I use the Track function on the treadmill and stationary bike so that I can get that information. I get weird little maps but the rest of the data is good. If this for your sleeping HR, maybe you could try the Track function just to get that rate.

Since I can't get the continuous rate and our weekly summary doesn't acknowledge that we paid a fortune for these pedometers, I wear my One whenever I'm out in public. Maybe I should use the Charge HR so I can advertise the lack of connections but I'm trying to keep my blood pressure down.

Earth to FitBit, is there anyone there? It's been over a year since you graced us with your presence and the realisation that heart rate data might be something your customers might be interested in accessing (remember your Premium Service slogan "It's your data...,). While I don't expect you to respond (seems you have given up on us and chosen to ignore the voice of the consumer) it would be the professional thing to do.

@TISM, nailed it! They do not care because they have our money. Right now their focus is on selling Zips to Target employees. I don't think we can ever expect to see this function basically because there doesn't seem to be anyone with the skill set to implement it. We knew we were in trouble when asking for the data was a "great" idea. Sheesh!!

Well summarised Sally_K. Very sad when you see something like FitBit, with so much potential, literally "die on the vine" by ignoring the early adopter customers who got them to first base in the first place. But we all know what happens to organisations who go down this path of ignoring customers! To be frank I have given up and am looking at alternative fitness ecosystems and once I commit I won't come back. If I were a shareholder I would be dismayed at the destruction of value occurring here.

@TISM, I am also looking to move. I am far more wary than I was with this purchase because I thought I knew Fitbit's ethic after so many years. Boy was I taken for a fool. I need a continuous HR tracker and can't wear a chest strap. AND I absolutely must be able to export my data. I think there are many of on the hunt. Pooling our findings could benefit us all. I won't be looking back either. It is truly a sad situation.

Good suggestion Kelly. When I discover something I will post it on this forum for others to consider.
