I agree. It would be helpful to continue the relationships we have built over the years of competition and support giving us a small window to continue that. Ultimately, I would prefer everything to go back to how it was but this would be a step in the right direction.

Bring back the challenge / competition element anyway you can please

it seems you will be losing many customers if you don’t

They changed the privacy settings without notifying us. Your friends have to go to the social and sharing setting and then privacy. I think that’s why almost everybody shows no recent activity!
I agree they locked everything up and it’s so much less fun now with no competitions. Even the closed groups aren’t working with the leaderboard.

@vee that’s not what I’m referring to. This is a call for real-time syncs to friends’ current progress so that we can still compete in the absence of challenges.

Ok, then I would have added the word sync to the title.
I totally agree, I’ve asked for that before and gotten no where. In fact I also made a feature suggestion but it went nowhere. Years ago they showed the time since last sync and that made the leaderboard useful. Over the years they have taken away so many helpful features.

Looks like they've closed the Bring Back the Challenges thread. This idea would work too. BTW, did anyone else awaken about 4:30 this morning to their watch rebooting? My Sense vibrated and woke me up. When I looked at it, it was the Fitbit symbol for a while then went back to the clock face. So what feature has my first generation Sense lost NOW??

Not very impressed with the new look of the dashboard. Taking away friends and personal group challenges was very disappointing.  Communication to your users about the disconnection was not very forth coming either.  I love my Fitbit and the ease of use from the original product.  As I have only had the original charge and a charge 2 with the original scale.  Product is very stable.  However, not having the ability of the friends is making me consider other products.  😒

I am trying to add a friend on IOS and I am not able to locate any instructions on the site or in answers to the question left by others along the same line.

I sure would like an answer with instructions!!!!!

Would really like to continue the competition with family members on a daily basis. That was the one main reason we started using Fitbit and it was very helpful in keeping us motivated and connected with our Fitbit’s!
