Make migration to Google an optional process

Chatting with support, someone told me eventually all users will be "forced" to link their FitBit with google account.
If there is an issue with the account this means you have to change the whole google account (ie password) to accomodate FitBit, which is what happened to my account

This is a huge invasion of privacy by Google !  This should be a HIPPA violation and illegal.  Especially since Google sent the fraudulent email forcing us to switch and then a few days later sent their, ooops we didn't mean it email.  

Is there any way to transfer back to fitbit and out of Google .  If not we're leaving 🤬

I've worn my Fitbit for years and am on third one. I also have a business that SHOCKINGLY has a Google email account. Well, I now can't keep my Fitbit because Fitbit doesn't care about business people and their lives. So today I'll check out other fitness watches and move on UNLESS  Fitbit and Google change their rules. From what I see you will lose a lot of small business owners. So contact me if you have a solution. OH YOU ONLY THINK OF THE BIG GUYS!

As I said in my first post, I'm looking at other fitness watches. There are a lot more than when I first got my very first Fitbit. Since Fitbit doesn't give a **ahem** about it's past clients who are also small business owners --- BYE BYE!

It appears that Google is still keeping some distance to Trump and Musk, but for how much longer? Academic staff are already requested to delete their Google Drive folders for fear of NSA. 

People should at least have the choice to opt out and self-govern the data they collect with the device they have paid for.

Please stop the mandatory Google account migration. I have 2 email account
-- one for my business (google) and an msn account. I resent having to get
a 3 email for FITBIT. Although I've enjoyed my Fitbits for years, I'm now
shopping for another fitness watch!

Forcing people to migrate to a google account is ridiculous. I did not pay hundreds of dollars to have to make a third party account. I just want the fitbit app
