I agree, Sleep score is useless. Purchasing Premium makes it no more useful. The UI layout is terrible. You have to drill down thru mutliple items to get at the core data and its super annoying.
Yes, please. Make sleep score optional. The way it is now is genuinely demoralising and tempts me to stop using Fitbit altogether. One of the main reasons I’m using Fitbit is because of the sleep insights, maybe even the only reason and with sleep score that’s pretty much down the drain. So please remove the sleep score or make it optional. Thanks
I've just been to have a look at the Fitbit app on Google play and scrolled through the recent reviews out of curiosity. Let's just say 'ouch'. Most are 1* or 2*.and it seems that as well as sleep score, people are now having problems with sync and finding their alarms.Ifyou want an effective way to complain, it seems this might be it
NB; Fitbit appear to have prioritised data gathering over user interface and user experience, which means they are probably more concerned with selling our data to those who can monetise it. I accepted that as a risk when the band helped me with my sleep, but now it's less useful to me and I'm just giving out my biometrics without the personal benefit. Fitbit, if this is what is happening then consider that poor Ui and Ux means less data to sell.
Excellent, thank you ever so much for this. It was really helpful to know this review system. I've been investigating the Oura ring, it seems super helpful, if very expensive. It has a vast in-depth analysis of sleep issues, it also has a sleep score - but it is very carefully worked out. I wonder if Fitbit tried to copy this and made a rather duff version of it!!
I think the sleep score is a false impression of how well you slept. I preffered the previous preview of your hours slept and not the score of your sleep, as if you're being graded. Imagine having a fitbit because you have sleep problems and now you only get bad grades. Wouldn't motivate me at all to keep wearing my fitbit to bed!
I have had a Fitbit in one form or another since they have been on the market. Until now, in all the years I have had one, I have never had a feature I have disliked. I dislike the Sleep Score and wish to disable it. Some nights I cannot control how much sleep I get or how often my husband's snoring wakes me up. The last thing I need to see is a score that is like being graded in school.
I would like to see the Sleep Score optional or removed altogether. I really don’t see what value the sleep score has. It’s based on somebody else’s view and gives no valuable information as far as I am concerned.
Please return the average sleep time to where it was. This was infinitely more useful than being "scored." It has been my most used feature with this device, so I guess I'm in the market for something else if this isn't changed back ASAP.
I really liked the old sleep display with percentages, benchmark and 30 day average views. It was helpful to see when I was at what stage of sleep or awake during the night. It was one of the main reasons I use my Fitbit.
I don't find the sleep score very helpful at all. If it isn't made optional or rolled back I will probably quit using my Fitbit and look for another way to track my sleep.
Hi @katesavage! Great suggestion, thanks for sharing your feedback. I've moved it into a similar request. A lot of users are asking for this option, I hope we receive updates soon.
"The way it's displayed is straight up obnoxious and hides the information that is actually useful, like making the first graph shown the score instead of the time asleep. This seems to be the case throughout the new design, the useful information is no longer visible at a glance from the main screen, everything requires digging now."
I couldn't have said it better myself. It's actually even worse with Premium too. I decided to do the free trial so I could look at sleeping resting HR, and it requires a lot of digging just to get to that number. There is no way to see it for the entire week either.
Just get rid of the sleep score. The old UI was way better.
New sleep score ‘feature’ showed up on phone app and the majority of my sleep data disappeared with it. A small number of days where I had sleep data got a sleep score, approximately 1/10 days remained with a score, the rest are now empty. I can only assume that the ‘algorithm’ deemed those days as not enough data to calculate a score, that should be a p1 bug. One of the main reasons why I have not switched to a different product is the sleep tracking, with this new mandatory feature that only works 10% of the time means this product is worthless for me. Either remove this feature it or make it optional. If you do keep it, at least make it functional for those few people who actually like this feature. Hope you take your customer feedback seriously, otherwise I predict a lot of people will switch products.
Why does Fitbit think I want some arbitrary and meaningless "score" instead of actual hours? Please arrange for another "update" immediately to undo this mess (as well as the pretty but useless graphics as well.) There is no way I updated to m"Premium" or will ever consider it if this is how little they understand or consider their customers needs.
Agree. Actually when we talk with physicians, nurses or wellness coaches, they ask about the amount of time or hours of sleep we get. The sleep score is meaningless. I really want to know the average number of hours and mins I slept in a week....not the average sleep score.
I agree with everyone who's saying the sleep score is meaningless and obnoxious. I want to see the data, not an arbitrary grade on a sleep test that I didn't sign up to take.
I bought a fitbit to help monitor my sleep. I checked the hours slept all the time and loved having it at a glance. I don't want to dig through 4 screens to find some (not all) of the same info I used to have. I don't need or want a sleep score. If this isn't changed, I'll purchase a different brand for my next tracker, as this one is now useless for one of the primary reasons I bought it.
