Does there ane trackers/bracelets from fitbit which can measure body temperature? Does the developer will have an api acess for it to make his own project or app?

I would like to see the ability to manually enter body temperature at various points in time and to display the history of body temperature.

If the fit bit has a temperature sensor on board we should add it to be read and logged. If this is done anyone with a reading off 100 f could be flagged as possibly sick

groupings of trend could show hot spots for virus. If not this virus 🦠 then the next one.

With the current state of the world, a sensor that monitors body temperature is something we all could REALLY use.  It's been on the request list for 5+ years.  Time to push to make it a reality.

Would be great to be able to record/monitor body temperature during sleep.  in conjuction with the sleeping heart rate will be able to help predict any issues the body is going through.  Should provide an indication of something not right with the body if - a raised body temperature accompanied by a heightened sleeping heart rate.

I understand it wouldnt always be right but it would be nice to know when ur running a fever or starting to have a heat stroke.  I bought this charge 3 as a joke ...   I avrage 25000 steps a day...  Burn almost 6000 calories a day...   I bought a second charge 3 because i like it and i wanted to be able to just swap out when battery dies instead of remebering to put it back on

I don't know if some of the newer models already have these features. I have a charge 2. This morning as I fumbling around taking my temperature since everyone's temp varies a little, it would be nice to know what my average is. And also, as an asthmatic it would be nice to know what blood oxygen is sometimes.

To be aware of infections, e.g. of Covid-19, it would be most helpful to manually track body temperature in Fitbit, just like fluid intake of female health

There are a lot of posts on the Fitbit Community Boards requesting a body temperature tracking feature.  It doesn't have to be automatic based on a sensor, just copy the program for weight tracking and change the features to temperature (Fehrenheit or Celcius) with and ADD and SAVE buttons.  The graph would only need to range from 95d to 105d.  We've had CV19 for two months, and more.  Start getting this into software updates.  A raised temperature is an early sign of problems and would get people to request testing earlier.  How many lives might be saved?  Be the software leader in getting this up, not the follower.

I believe in learning from the rough patches we go through. Whether that be a loss or a failed test or a heartbreak. We are meant to learn and grow from our pain and the hardships we go through. With this COVID-19 pandemic, I propose that for a future Fitbit feature, a built in thermometers should be included. A way to check your body temperature, especially when you're feeling under the weather. This feature will not only help you take precautions when you may be getting sick, but because it's on you (like you're physically wearing the fitbit) you can show it to your boss if you're already at work and need to be sent home. Sure, you can have a thermometer at home that already reads your temperature...but if we already have a device that monitors heart rate, sleep, and physical activity, then why not your temperature too? I'm telling you this feature will not only help a lot of people, but it will help the business go economically speaking, especially after this pandemic. Back to what I mentioned earlier about learning from what we go through, I assure you that after this pandemic is over, many many countries are going to put even more money towards the health and medical and technological fields. Hospitals will create plans that will be in place just in case another pandemic ensues; schools will have plans, businesses will have plans (Kind of like "in case of emergency, use this"...or when we're in school, we not only have fire drills, but we started having soft and hard lockdown drills after the many mass shootings that kept happening. Anyways, my point is, that many companies are going to be creating or have already started creating emergency plans. I'm sure Fitbit is already working on that, but this is why my suggestion adds to that help. As a community, we should have the option to walk around with a device that monitors our temperature along with all the other features. Just think about it Fitbit! I don't need recognition or money, I just want us to be safe and better after this pandemic. I want everyone to come out stronger, wiser and healthier after COVID-19 is over. Thanks for your time and for reading this far if you did 🙂

With much love,

Laz

LizzyFitbit:  It seems your customers have been asking for this feature (being able to take body temp) for the last 4 or 5 years.  Why is it taking so  long to get accomplished?  Thanks.

@gmoloney hey! Thanks for agreeing! I honestly think it’s because there wasn’t a great push for it before. But now, especially with this pandemic, I can see this definitely becoming a reality...both because of the business benefit it’ll bring and also because of the health benefit. It would’ve probably been beneficial in the past too, but not like now...right now, times are way beyond different. I truly hope they take it into consideration...boost their economy up and also support the health of customers with this added feature 🙂 stay safe and stay healthy @gmoloney

My old Microsoft Band had temperature, and skin galvanic response (sweat/moisture). Wasn't on dashboard but you could get it with API for third party apps. Anyway back to FitBit, In addition to or instead of on device, this could work with already on the market smart bluetooth forehead thermometers similar to how FitBit works with smart scales and multiple users.

I agree but if you had a thermometer on the unit it self if some one like me didn’t have a cell phone you could just take your temp as your going into a business just saying

It is not about fever checking, The body temperature maintenance is
impulsive in the human body. Fitbit allows it to track on regular intervals
which can give clues on person's immune response much before it changes it
to a fever. Body temperature while you are on sleep, while you are on work,
while you are not active etc, while you are on diet, while you are eating
etc. In general doctors check only two things heart rate and temperature,
this gives whether a person is ill or not isn't. As Fitbit already tracks
heart rate and give scores to it, adding temperature will complete
control on the human body.

I am just suggesting a thermometer be added to the Versa. I am having a lot of problems with my blood pressure so that would be a super improvement.

I have been trying to post separately but having Real difficulty.   Cardiex.com / Atcor medical https://atcormedical.com/ have just developed a wearable sensor and associated algorithms that provide clinical level feedback on heart and arterial health Blood pressure also - see https://atcormedical.com/solutions/consumer/

Given the work they have been doing with Google / Mobvoi in China , I would really like to see this technology integrated into my future Fitbit so I don’t have to swop tech.  It will revolutionise my heart health management, make my Fitbit a medical grade monitor and potentially provide data to my doctor.  Therefore better manage mine and wider user heart and cardiac health, including hypertension.....a significant killer.
