A tile to track relax sessions (breathe/meditation) would be great. We should be able to track minutes spent per day. Also would be good to have reminders and the ability to set goals around this

Hello
I have seen some people talk about this but i wanted to submit my perspective.
I want to be able to track my relax session. i want to build a meditation routine and i want a push to do it and the accountability on my dash would help this.
i want to track this to see if it is helping and i want to track it for modivation
thank you!
I found thru my day my heart rate would elevate before parts of my day that where stressful. in my work environment the 2 minutes helped me regain control and i love it and am thankful for this in my fitbit charge2. thank you fitbit. the relax feature was what pushed me over the edge of buy or no buy that with sms integration i was sold.
I wish there was an app that covered all aspects of health. Unfortunately most are too niche - like only running, or only yoga or only weight lifting cycles. And apple watch app was such a disappointment in terms of being able to set your own goals....
I suffer from anxiety & stress and I find the breathing fuction on my Charge 2 helps me a lot. I would like to see this tracked on the web & (Android) app dashboards so I can see when I’ve needed to use this and how often.
I'll no longer have a use for apps like Google fit or other meditation apps on tracked with. I love to have it all in one spot. All fitness mind and body in one spot.
I totally agree - we want our fitness to be 360• - body, mind and spirit. So why should our devices and apps not be capable of measuring and tracking it all.
Hi @Bryan07! Good idea, that'd be useful to complement with the Relax Feature. Thanks for taking the time to share it with us. Keen to hear what others think?
Yes. If we have a meditation tracker that will set us apart from other smart watches. We should really work on this and even try to integrate data from mediation devices like muse.
This would be an awesome feature! I meditate regularly and I'd really like to see how my heart rate changes throughout a meditation session and compare between multiple sessions.
I'd like an option to track and to set a daily meditation goal of say 20 minutes a day like a water intake goal. Then use the watch menu to start the daily meditation which would count down until zero and when zero is reached, use the silent alarm (reverse stop watch). It would also be good to set a single vibrate on each segment of the mediation (e.g. 5 mins would do a single silent vibrate every 5 mins). The user can then keep their eyes closed and know where they are in the meditation.
This may resolve any autodetect mediation session issues as this may be hard to achieve - though I assume any watch with HR monitor should see a reduction in HR? (not sure on that).
Yes this is exactly what I am looking for! It would be nice to have a relax tile on the app home page to track progress, that can be separate from workouts. I'm surprised this hasn't been made yet, it would be really useful 🙂
I came to see if anyone had already come across this issue and how they resolved it as meditation is far more common an activity and while I can note the name, time and duration of the 'activity' so that it appears I really would like to see this added a full 'proper' feature to the newer Fitbit family with HR counts and a timer as already mentioned by others.
Please add this to the development team list of 'To Do' 🙂
I think it would be great if Relax was available on the FitBit Dashboard with its own tile that keeps track of your meditations. Plus, that way every FitBit user will have access to Relax, not just the exclusive devices.
Yes!! I would love to be able to review my relax session in the app and see the heart rate changes. Or whatever else it can log during that time to see all the biophysical changes from the breathing.
Thanks and just to see and be able to show a therapist, doctor etc....how many sessions I do, how often, etc....there really isn't much feedback from the session or way yo review how many you have done
I think Fitbit should add tracking of meditation time. This could be done via measuring heart rate, or by pairing with outside meditation apps. Millions of us meditate and it’s an integral part of health and fitness. I would gladly beta-test this feature, as I believe many people would use it.
I think this feature would make Alta HR a killer product.
I would like to suggest to add a new activity for meditation and in the activity would have a timer allow to set the duration and when the timer is up then Alta HR would receive a vibration or a sound.
As a facilitator of meditation groups, it would be incredibly helpful if Fitbit could integrate a way to track meditation time. There are no good meditation apps out there that do what you do (with community support). Even if competition seems counterintuitive... it's what a person does once they sit down to get quiet that will benefit them. And wouldn't the world be a better place with more mindful people living in it? I don't care what gets people to that place... even if it's peer induced.
Now with Versa we see stats after the guided breathing, but they don’t seem to be logged anywhere and once dismissed cannot be retrived. If it’s showing there, can that info it be captured somewhere for us to review and monitor? I’d also love a consecutive day count for that!
