More Accurate Battery Life or % in Mobile App

I have owned a Fitbit Charge HR for about 2.5 weeks now. Using the battery life indicator icon on the dashboard on my iPhone or IPad, I was shocked to see that I was at one-half reserve or less by the second day after full charge. I have no notifications permitted and only sync when I open the apps ( few times in 24 hours.) When I plugged in the Fitbit to recharge, however, the battery reserve always showed much greater than the dashboard icon reported. "What gives?" I asked. So, today I called your trusty tech support staff who has just confirmed that the battery life icon on the dashboard only has three "levels" it can report: full, medium, and low. Hmmmm. Not so cool.

OK, guys, please revise your onboard firmware and app software to more accurately reflect the true status of the battery reserve when checking into the dashboard. The "new dashboard" graphics have not addressed this issue. Otherwise, a lot of folks are going to be charging their devices unnecessarily rather than tracking all the fun on wrist or ankle, where they belong. Thanks!

Yes! Percentages would be much easier to read than the icon on my Alta.

The Charge 2 HR shows battery percentage. Please update the Blaze as well please 🙂

I see someone from Fitbit said this feature of battery % has been added to the newest product.  Can't this be a software addition?

I have a Fitbit Baze. I would love it if I could see the percentage of battery life in my app. The current indicators don’t help me make sure I have adequate charge for the entire day. I find myself charging my device in the car every other day, but I worry that I am ruining the battery. If not on the device, showing the percentage on the app would helpful. Why is is that the  Charge 2 can support this feature but not the Blaze? If the device can’t support this, please put it in the app dashboard.

I think it's possible but the way Fitbit works is by adding (most) new features to new trackers rather than existing ones in way to entice you with a reason to upgrade to a new Fitbit tracker (that is mostly how they make money). Adding a percentage should be possible with any of the trackers. If it has a screen, on the device, no screen? via the app (like miband do on their tracker which costs about £7).

I have the Charge 2 and it shows battery percentage and battery level in the app or online. The problem is accuracy. The app said I have medium battery and the Charge 2 showed 71%.

The battery icon in fitbit app is not useful since its difficult to tell how much battery is left. I know its color coded but doesn't help. Yellow color does not indicate if the battery is 50% or 75%. Can you please add a number that indicates battery level in % next to battery icon?

Yes, that would be helpful. I'm in the habit of popping my Blaze on the wireless charger when I get in the shower. When I'm ready to put it back on, it's usually charged enough for the day and my workout the following morning, but a percentage would be very nice.

I receive notices to replace my Zip battery long before it needs replacing.  Question - if I held out too long and it finally died, would I be able to recover the information on it when I replace the battery?  Thanks!

deaf ears is the fitbit group. when my HR charges, it displays a graphic that has more the full, half, empty.

But, no can do. this has been desired (*by many) for YEARS. but, no can do.

I have a Xiaomi Miband and that shows percentage via the app and days remaining. That band costs £7.

My Fitbit Charge 2 is £139. Please add such a basic feature!

Looks like Fitbit isn't very responsive to this simple request. It's popped up in various forms for 3+ years now

It is a shame that Fitbit customer support and upper management do such a poor job representing their company. I'd have fired all of the software/firmware management team and most of the developers by now over just this one totally ignored issue.

I will vote with my wallet and buy anything but Fitbit in the future... If everyone did that, they would quietly go out of business and probably be totally clueless as to why.

I really do need to see the percentage of battery life on my blaze before I commit to an exercise

Showing the Battery life as a % will take a lot of guesswork out of the product.

i.e.

Is it fully charged?

When should I charge it?

I think Fitbit should add the Battery lift as a % to the Blaze and to the Fitbit App as an improvement.

Thank you.

It seems that lots of people ask for this with no response. Maybe in the
next firmware update.

The battery should be displayed as a percentage in app for older models of fitbit, mine being the Charge HR.  It is very frustrating to have to wait for a low battery notification to know when to charge it.

Preferably an exact battery percentage indicator rather than it just telling me the batter is low on the alta hr

I find it hard to believe that my wife has an alta fitbit and gets an email when her battery is low,  and on my blaze we have nothing like this.

Please fix this problem

I have a Charge 2 and also get an email when my battery is low. I seriously
don't get it. They can program software to send me an email when the
battery is low, but can't program software to merely put the battery
percentage on the app?

How many times have you gotten the low battery warning on your Fitbit and not be anywhere near your charging cable? Why can't the battery status be a display option like heart rate, time, step count etc. THe data is there why not display it like your phone?

I was nearly late for a hospital appointment as the battery died during the night, this really needs a battery level indicator and a notification of when getting low. Come on it’s on your cheaper product the charge HR !

Not a happy person this morning........

Knowing the battery % in this day and age is essential. I don't think I've had another gadget in the last 10-15 years that doesn't show the actual battery %! My phones, laptops, headphones, speakers all show the battery %! Even your Fitbit Charge 2 shows the battery % so why can't you update the software on the Blaze to do the same?

I agree ... I have a Flex 2, so I can only gauge battery level during app.

When I bought my Flex 2, I had an issue with it as it would not charge fully. I contacted customer service and they told me that they could see tracker was stuck at 90%.... so clearly the information is available.

So just display it in app!

As far as I'm aware, 'Low' could be < 25% or it could be < 10% ... I have no idea .. when I see Low, I recharge but perhaps I could get another day or 2 before needing to charge.
