More badges (Add badge ideas here!)

Need more creative badges and trophies rather than just the lifetime records... that could be more motivating.

Here are a few ideas:
- Badge for reaching 10000 steps for 7 days in a row, 15 days in a row, 50 days in a row...
- Badges based on active minutes/calories/kilometers
- How about some more crazy/funny badges like "night owl" for someone who regularly achieves a lot of steps at night, "out of bed" (same principle but for early morning), etc.
- Badges that reflect poor activity; for instance a badge if you don't reach 10000 steps/day once in 7 days, ...

I think that these are all ideas that could really enrich the experience of fitbit users by increasing motivation and I believe they are all relatively simple to implement in the Fitbit system!!

I was also going to suggest badges for consecutive days at target, please consider this. Thank you

I did it!  Fitbit didn't sound any bells or whistles but I did it!  One whole year!

It would be great to see how far you are away from upcoming badges from within the mobile app. At the moment I need to jump between my profile on the website and the badge section of the dashboard to calculate the difference which is a bit of a pain.

Ditto! Actually my year was one day earlier...January 30, 2016! I waited the day of and after...as you know, no badge. Seems like this badge or one that shows a consecutive goal would be more meaningful than a "lifetime floor count".

I agree! It was disappointing and I think I'm going to check out the Apple Watch to see if they do anything. I wanted bells and whistles, didn't you? It is an amazing accomplishment. Congrats to you. My trainer said he didn't know anyone who made a commitment like we did! Yay us!

After walking 10,000 plus steps every day for a year it's sort of difficult to know what to do next.  I hate to quit, but every day is just so time consuming with work and a husband.  I have had to give up some of my hobbies to fit in the walking. If I quit, I'm afraid I'll gain weight back.  Will you keep walking even without bells and whistles from Fitbit?

I have lost and gain weight on and off for years. I have recently started trying to lose weight again in earnest. It is more motivating for me to see my most recent activities (and yes, my weight lost is a bigger accomplishment than steps per day).

Today I got my -3kg badge!, but because I had received it before there wasn't any congratulations. I need and love that encouragement. All those other times I got those badges before doesn't matter. I have set my goal start date, it would be awesome if the dashboard only showed the badges won since I started again.

I'm not nearly as commited as you, but I think even small steps would be cool like you hit you goal everyday for a week as a starter and work up to 1 year and above. Congrats to you though

I agree ! They give you badges for big steps, but it's the smaller ones that mean something to me! I'm now in to over a year and 2 weeks without missing one day and nothing from Fitbit to reward that! I'm personally rewarded by weight loss and lower heart rate and inches lost.

I think it would be nice to see badges for more common sports and activities outside of just steps, distance, floors, weight loss, etc.  Specifically for other manually logged activities such as rowing, weight-lifting, cross-fit training, etc.

If people are consistently adding common fitness activities manually (such as rowing every day a certain duration, or distance) it would be very valuable to see it trend and badge as is done the aforementioned and already fully integrated steps, distances, floors, etc.

I think this is a great idea, personally as a professional competitive eater, I would love to track and receive badges for all of my eating during my training sessions.

Rowing and hiking etc would be awesome as well.

Please add this to the app. As an achievement hunter i would get very motivated. Badges are also hidden under account and you can only see the achievements you've got and not the ones you're still able to get. Please add this to the app Fitbit.

I sent myself a picture of a Hippo as congratulations for the 2.91 tons that I Deadlifted today. It would feel less hollow if you guys sent it to me instead.

Please add more Lifetime Climb badges. I've maxed out at the Satellite badge, and would love a virtual carrot to work toward!

Its hard enough to earn an average of 10k a day, but harder to not miss one day for 10k for a period of time. I have been wearing a fit bit for 5 years and just challenged myself to not missing one day of hitting 10k and I made it! Wouldn't it be a great incentive to hit 10k a day for a month badge? Then how about if you made it for 2 months? Then you would want to keep going or you'd have to start all over again.

This would be a great badge to add. Even for those die hard and newbies,  it would equally provide incentive to push yourself to just consistently hit the 10k, not just average.

Thank you for your consideration

PatMann, firstly congratulations on such a remarkable achievement. Amazing level of consistency and commitment.

I was disappointed when I passed 1 million steps and that wasn't acknowledged! However I think your idea is much better. Special badges for consistently hitting goals would definitely help people stay motivated. Especially the large number of people who realistically have no chance of hitting 70,80, 90k daily step badges. I hope this is implemented. I voted for it anyway!

1 million steps? wow. That is amazing. I am at 1 year 1 1/2 months now. Still nothing from Fitbit but a challenge to me. How long have you been walking with your Fitbit? I worked out only 2 days a week before getting my Fitbit. Many friends are joining me in the walking and challenges. Congrats to you!

I would love to see a badge for consecutive days hitting the active minute goal - 1 week, 1 month, 2 months, etc. It would encourage doing some level of fitness daily, even if it's just a 30 minute walk.

Joined Fitbit in June last year. My girlfriend had a fitbit One, so it was
largely so we could encourage each other and try and live a healthier
lifestyle. Like you, I didn;t exercise very much at all before I tracked my
steps and realised just how lazy I was! I try and walk at least twice a day
if I can,- at lunch and in the evening. (weather permitting given that this
is England after all!)

I've hit step target every day since January 17th. I thought that was good
until I saw what you'd done. 😉 I hope you manage to keep your streak
going and that eventually fitbit come up with something to recognise it.

Yep! Still walking 11,600 every day without missing since Jan. 31, 2015~ wow… Keep walking. I noticed my resting heart rate has dropped over 15 points, my clothes have to be altered and I feel better!

I'd like to endorse this post.  I too would LOVE some new floor/climb badges beyond 35k.  Even if it is something ridiculously high, its still something to try to achieve!
