Naming/Labeling Alarms

Hello,

Wouldn't it be nice if you allow us to name the silent alarms? For example: an alarm to wake up, one to drink water, food, one to remind me of something such as an important meeting, etc...

Your feedback is highly appreciated.

Best regards,

All I can address is what friends have done as a sort of work around.

The alarms have a longer vibration but no labels show on wearable. For the Alta, I have no idea how appointment reminder titles are viewed on the screen.

According to this review (https://youtu.be/_kkILRHA958), appointments scroll on the screen once and then they're gone.

According to other threads on in the Fitbit.com community, the text is accompanied by a short vibration.

To avoid any confusion, I have no association with Fitbit outside of being a customer like you.

Hope this helps.

ps. Sorry, thought the request was addressed to me. Apparently it was just a general request. I think Fitbit has a "feature request" area. I get the sense that requests posted outside of that area are often unseen by the powers that be, but what do I know?

I really wish FitBit would add this feature. Even if nothing else, a simple notification displayed on your phone when the tracker vibrates would be better than nothing. My Jawbone did this and I loved it, I often used it as a reminder to take medications and such. Maybe if enough people were to write into feature request, FitBit would take notice?

Can we please have the option to name each alarm individually. Ie: Doctor's Appt. , Pick up laundry Etc.

Thanks!

I am hoping this feature could be implemented as soon as possible. Because it would be very usefull for some people. As well as if we can see the label is shown on the mobile app (as a notification)

I would love this for my Blaze. I actually missed an important appointment because I set an alarm for something and couldn't remember what I set it for. So as much as I would like to use it, I have to use my phone that I can label.

I've been waiting for this feature. I use my phone's calendar alert and reminder, but I sometimes don't notice it when I am working out in the gym, staying upstairs without my phone, etc. I find it very usuful to set alarm on my Charge HR and feel the vibration on my wrist. It would be more helpful if I could label each one of my alarm setting on setting.

Wow. This has been suggested for a really long time. Why hasn't it been implemented?

I'm unsure it's a good idea, I've given up on trying with Fitbit.

I agree. My son has a fitbit and I would love to have an alarm that goes off when it's time for him to come home from the park, Smiley Very Happy

Unfortunately I've suggested this idea years ago and Fitbit doesn't seem interested in implementing the suggestion. I see that other bands are coming around and installing the alarms with their software.

I totally agree! I would love to be able to name my alarms. Like to take my vitamins in the morning and put my retainers in at night lol

I came on here to ask for alarm labels too! Please put them in the next update! Even a simple 10-12 character space would suffice. A lot of us have a lot going on during the day and a reminder across the screen with the vibrate would be immensely helpful! PLEASE, Fitbit!?

Been using a Charge HR for almost a year, and I almost upgraded to the Blaze this week thinking that this feature was already supported. I REALLY wanted to replace my current fitbit and smartwatch with the blaze (right now wearing charge HR on my left and Pebble on my right), but the countdown timer, named alarms, and calendar notifications are crucial to my everyday life.

I've upgraded to the blaze the problem still exist within the blaze as well

Yes we need to be able to label alarms. Because at this point the silent alarms are only good for waking up and that's it. Complete waste of a feature. I have short term memory loss so I have no hope of remembering what I set my alarms for. Except to wake up because the vibration wakes me up.

Please add this feature to Fitbit Charge 2 mode.

I use silent alarms during the workday for medication reminders and it would be very helpful if I could add a name to the alarms so I don't have to worry if I'm remembering correctly which medication corresponds to which time/alarm.

Be able to name silent alarms

Create the ability to label the individual silent alarms on the Fitbit Alta.  This would work like the Iphone does, where you have the ability to label each alarm and then the label for that alarm would scroll on your fitbit alta.

Then, also to have the ability to snooze the alarm directly from your fitbit alarm.

Thanks!

Any idea if Fitbit will implement this feature with Charge 2?

As I am on a medication schedule of 1 tablet every 3 hours between 06:00 and 21:00 I was hoping I could use the silent alarms of my Charge 2 to give me a reminder and indeed it does, but setting it up currently is a bit time consuming.

I now have entered 6 individual alarms and have them repeat every day. These alarms show up as the buzzing clock symbol together with my other appointments. Here a label for the alarm, as requested by others would help to differentiate them.

My request though is not about the label, but for an enhancement of the setup of these alarms. In addition to a start time and repeat per day I would like to see an section added:

Every xxh:xxm

So you can schedule a series of alarms for the whole day at once and repeat this on selected day's.

I hope other users second this request.

NB. It would be ideal if the medication could be separated from the other alarms by having it's own "buzzing tablet" icon on the tracker and a separate category in the alarm section, but that is cosmetic 😉
