Naming/Labeling Alarms

Hello,

Wouldn't it be nice if you allow us to name the silent alarms? For example: an alarm to wake up, one to drink water, food, one to remind me of something such as an important meeting, etc...

Your feedback is highly appreciated.

Best regards,

Yes agreed! I can’t remember what the alarm is for if there’s more than one. Would be great to be able to name them individually. Seems like an easy setting. Limiting the number of characters would be fine too.

Very surprised named alarms isn’t a feature! It would be great to have

Also shocked this is still not available. The first complaint on this community board about not being able to customize alarm text was years ago. If my FitBit Alta can scroll little motivational phrases (not to mention my text messages) across itself thoughout the day, I don’t see why it can’t scroll “take your vitamins” or “walk the dog”, especially when there are virtually dozens of phone apps that have been doing this for years. Get it together, please... this is such a simple update it almost feels like a choice not to do it.

I just got my fitbit charger and tried to label alarms for my scripts. This request was originally made in 2013!  I am absolutely shocked how unresponsive fitbit has been to the  needs of its customers.  This is an excellent idea...I will have to return this product and purchase a tracker/smartwatch that can accommodate my needs.

Hello! I contacted Fitbit customer support about this idea and the agent directed me to post my idea here.
My idea pertains to the Fitbit charge 2 alarms. My idea is this: when you set an alarm, rather than the alarm being titled "alarm" when it goes off, you could set it to "drink water" if you need a reminder of that or "get up" this would help you remember why you set alarms, or remember to do something specific.
If you think that you would benefit from this as well, please vote for this and if you have any constructive criticism for this idea or like it, please comment below. Thank you very much for your time and I hope that we can make this idea happen in the near future.

My current tracker is another brand. Every day I have reminders on working out, that I should go to bed soon, medicines, etc. I’m weighing the options of Fitbit as I’ve wanted a new one. Not being able to label my alarms really is turning me away. It would be so great to label the alarms in the app. Fitbit, have a programmer make the easy update for everyone.

Could I ask what tracker you use that lets you label them?

Can't believe this isn't a thing. Looks like it's been 5 years since this was first suggested. My previous tracker, which was like $50 and awful, could do it. Why can't the Fitbit do it? Can this please be done?

I honestly don't think they even look at these. I posted here because
that's where it sent me to give feedback. This is such a basic request that
can be done which makes me think this is just for users.

YES!  I wish they had this!  If you are allowed to create at most, 8 alarms, you have to know what each one of them is for!

Would be great if we could name our alarms for vitamins etc instead of just the preset message available.. please x

Yes, it would in addition it would be great for the elderly to remind them of medications, appointments, wake up, bed time, etc. That is a whole other market for fitbit. I can see the increase in revenues now..

Please add an update so we can label our Alarms. I have multiple alarms and would love to be able to see what each alarm is when I see it.

PLEASE bump this to the top of MUCH needed updates! so many people have already asked for it and we all need it. I really need this for my Charge 2. Silent alarms are better than any alarm on my phone and there private! We have been asking since 2015!!! please implement!!

I would love to be able to name silent alarms on the Blaze when I set them, so I could use them to remind me about healthy habits (e.g. do cardio, meditate, drink water, go to bed).

I have quite a few silent alarms on my Charge 2, I have them set every 2 hours to remind me to have some water, I also have it for when I wake up and when I begin work. My suggestion is to be able to create a message/note for yourself for the reminder ('have some water' 'time to start work'), rather than having just the time coming up for the alarm. I sometimes get confused why my watch is telling me its 14:30!

The ability to enter the message that an alarm shows for example I have a nightly alarm I would like the message to say time for bed. Now it says walk up or some other message.

Also why can't we set alarms through the Fitbit app for the Ionic? Put that functionality back in the app.

It would be nice to have the ability to name the alarms. So far I have three, one to wake me up in the morning, another one to remind me to drink my medicine, and third one to help me to clean my fish tanks.

However, I start to forget which one is which. Would it be much better to have the alarms named instead of having some weird "Keep Alive" text?

Agreed!  I’m a busy mom/business owner/ insert any number of hats here... I forget all the time what I set my alarms for. “Get Kids” “take meds” “call BFF” or whatever. Right now it’s like I’m the high tech version of Uncle Billy in Its a Wonderful Life. I have all these strings on my fingers and have no idea why they are there

Can we please be able to set a silent alarm with the ability to have a label on each of them ex: (take meds), (call Donna), (Finish paper), ect. You get the hint. We would like more than just setting a silent alarm.  Thank you.
