New updated clip on tracker

I have had a One for 3 years now and love it but am a bit disappointed that some features are not available on it (e.g.. active mins per hour etc). Please can you make a new clip on fitbit with more features. I really don't want a wrist one at all.

@Glendamay they did not say that a clip on tracker will not be made, they said that the one is not being considered. Mainly because the Zip has been more popular.

If the community can request a tracker model that looks pissing then Fitbit may consider it.

Yes the one was my favorite but personal tests show. Yay averaging over the week a month it gives the same results as a wrist model. I like the extra bells and whistles that would be unload able with a clip on tracker. For one I have heart rate, a clip on tracker would need to be taped to the body.

Actually they did tell me that. I spoke with them directly. They said the
will not bring back the One and that they will not release a clip on device
that has the advanced features of thier wrist devices. ( flights of stairs,
etc) They want their devices to be seen. And actually the person I spoke to
got pissy about it

I see how some folks want a clip type device with more functionality. However, this is part of the point of loving the ONE. It is basic and simple. These simple devices are not meant to do BP, PULSE, Etc...... They are just a distance, altitude, burning, movement, sleep, etc... type of device. In order to have those enhanced functions, you need a wrist device that is against your veins. I don't desire, want or need that, which is why i like the ONE.

I would remain happy if they just kept the functionality the same on the ONE. If they can enhance, great. But how about just the KISS rule? This ONE is an awesome product and suits those of us who have no desire to wear a wrist device.

Yes, I agree. I don't need heart rate or any of that, but I do need a sleep
tracker and a stair climb tracker. We have a flights if stairs climbed
compition at work. Our work program used to sync with the fit bit. My work
had bought us all the One years ago, but i lost mine. The clip on that they
curently sell is nothing but an overpriced pedometer, it basically does
nothing. I usually am carrying things when I walk or Im pushing a cart, so
a wrist one doesn't ever count my steps. I end up with a couple hundred
steps even though I walk all around a college campus. I had the alta. It
was horrible, I usually had to hook it though my jeans belt loop

I am with you all... the zip is a joke of a tracker! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring back the one. I don't need heart rate, i just want my sleep, steps and stairs tracked! I LOVE LOVE LOVE my ONE. I can not wear wrist trackers so the ONE is absolutely ideal. I dread the day it stops working on me but an hoping that FitBit will actually listen to this post and bring it back. Like most people have said we don't need any fancy enhancements the ONE is clearly a better choice to keep going over the zip! BRING BACK THE ONE!!!

This is too bad Fitbit has turned into FibbedBite. They apparently don't care about consumers -- you know -- the folks that buy and support their products. I've had exchanges and phone calls with the company and they are firm: no more One. That translates in "no more customer" when the One I am wearing, stops functioning. Despite pleas of abandoning the One from users, I expect that to happen as the base dwindles of active users. My ONE is on its last legs. I tried the Blaze but, as others have written, don't want to wear a watch. I gave my Blaze to a co-worker and he has stopped wearing it, too. The last quarter FIT (NYSE) wasn't good. The stock has gone sideways in 2017 and is in the $5.50 range. This was once a nearly $50 stock. Competition. The ONE has a large and loyal group yet the company is pushing customers to other platforms that are "almost" and "not enough". Ya have a good thing, Fitbit. Yet ignore us and ...

Someone commented they spoke to FITBIT and they wanted their products to be "seen". For my ONE, it is seen in my body and health. It is much better when someone says, you look great, how did you do it? I then reveal the ONE and they immediately jump online to check it out. This is much closer to getting customers to purchase than looking at a wrist device and saying "nice" but never ordering.

I agree with Chris92057, FITBIT, you had a good thing with no additional product development costs and minimal to no sw dev costs, just sustaining, but yet you discontinue. I think you management team needs to take a few basic cost of running a business classes.......

SueAlen, not sure they don't think there is a market for, they know they have lovers. It sounds like from other comments I have read, they want the visible wrist display device. I completely agree with your issues listed above and many more. This is a no brainer from a business and manufacturing perspective, the sustaining costs on this device can't mount to much, just someone in management pushing wrist visible instead of device discrete products.

Someone should get smart and buy the ip and rights to this product and make. Not an earth shattering product but a solid product that could help keep future health care costs down. A big pharma could absorb....

Since it appears Fitbit doesn’t bother with comments on the forum, perhaps we need to start a phone in campaign to request they rethink their hard line stand on the One. Let them know why you really like and depend on the One and why the wrist tracker is not a viable solution for you.

Done that. As others have posted and my own findings, they do not care about the customer experience.

Best wishes.

When I last spoke with them, they said they only wait to see how many customers post comments out here and what their comments are. So, it seems like we all get a different answer on "how" to get them to listen. The only consistent thing we all get is that the ONE is discontinued. 😞

Sadly to say, FitBit does not care.  They have closed/locked other posts on this very same topic.  Another post back in June. FitBit commented on stating they are streamlining their products and there will be no more one.  Suggestions have been made to continue to call them.  I think a better idea is to call them out.  We all know the power of social media and companies do not want to be on the negative end of that.  Just my thoughts as at the moment, they do not seem to care about people who want a clip and not the Zip.  BAD business decision on their part to ignore the very people that pay their salary.

I don't want to negatively impact the company, even though I disagree with their business decisions. I think their product development and marketing teams must be made up of some different thinking folks. Sometimes an old timer with some manufacturing and marketing experience can shed some light to these new upcoming companies. FITBIT will eventually feel the loss of we ONE customers and they will move on. They have made it really clear they will sustain us but have no desire to keep us as customers. The impact must not be great enough or they would have re-thought the ONE clip / discrete product. I am sad and I am a paying customer, I have the reports which I enjoy. In today world, we can never get to attached to products because they end of life and disappear before we know it. Still very disappointed in the but getting use to the fact, my ONE will die and I will have to move to another company/product.

I too would love for a return of the clip style devices. I have been using fitbits since 2013 starting with a fitbit ultra. This finally wore out so I replaced it with the same. And finally last year I had to upgrade to a fitbit One. The ultras were very hardy, but the ones not so much. One was DOA and the other did not survive a wash cycle. Please bring back a device that will track fitness and include stair climbing.  I already wear a wrist watch so  another wrist device is not wanted. clip on devices tend to be stealthier. Miss you guys already.

I lost my Fitbit One today and was looking for a replacement.  Much to my anger, they have discontinued the One.  On ebay they are charging triple what they cost.  Looks like I am no longer a fitbit user.  FITBIT....PLEASE BRING BACK THE FITBIT ONE!  On the fitbit one, I would love to see them include some type of alarm, so that you can find it.  Maybe brighter colors.

Hi there, I lost mine for a while and to find it i set up alarms, as you know the one vibrates so i just went round each room listening for the vibration, it took a while but i managed to find mine! I dont know if it will help you though, but good luck!

Unfortunately it was low on battery life and needed to be recharged so that
probably will not work.

Hi everyone, thanks for sharing this suggestion. There aren't currently plans to release this feature.

Though Fitbit One is a popular product, we are always working to streamline our offerings as we introduce new products. Fitbit One will be removed from Fitbit.com and some retail partners over the next few months. For this reason we will archive your suggestion.

If you’re looking for a new tracker, we recommend considering the other discreet options we offer—Fitbit Zip if you prefer a clip-based tracker or Fitbit Flex 2 if you prefer a slim, wrist-based tracker. You can learn more about these trackers plus the rest of the Fitbit family of products at https://www.fitbit.com/compare.

Please note that we will continue to support the One, even when it is no longer available, and provide troubleshoots and replacements for devices in warranty.

We apologize for any inconvenience and hope we can continue to provide you with Fitbit trackers you love and help you reach your goals.

I hear the One is discontinued. I’m afraid the Zip will be next. Please keep a pocket tracker in your product selection.. I prefer it in my pocket or clipped to my clothing and not on my wrist. I’m sure I’m not the only one. I like the two options that were available, the Zip with a changeable battery and the One with the rechargeable battery. Please don’t disappoint us!

Agree! Would love to see a clip version of the Alta HR.

First Steps

Amazon has some clips for the Alta that look promising. When my One dies I think I'm going to buy an Alta HR and one of these clips from Amazon. Then I can choose (based on the day/outfit) whether I want to wear it on my wrist or clipped to my bra. Seems like best of both worlds! I only wish FitBit would offer an official version so I don't have to buy this third-party clip option.

A clip for the Alta HR works…If you don’t care about floors count.

Maybe someone should come up with a clip for the Charge 2 (and a wrist band similar to the One band) to use at night to track sleep. That way you would never have to wear that clunky thing on your wrist (while getting inaccurate counts).

Fitbit made a mistake in killing the One. (By the way, they're now $300 on Amazon.) The community reactions, here and elsewhere, demonstrate that there are a lot of us who can't or won't wear a wrist device for one reason or another, and who are willing to give up access to years of information (plus all those cool badges!) to get what we need from another company.

My One, like the Ultra before it, is an important part of my life. I have Stage IV breast cancer, metastasized into my lower back and hip, and I work hard at staying active. When my One dies, it will be a serious blow.

Since this is a suggestion thread, here's mine: Rework the One to be waterproof and have a better battery, along with a better clip. Do it now.

I hope that someone at Fitbit will actually pay attention to customer wants and needs. So far, there's not much evidence that they even bother to read these comments.

Thank you.
