Please add ING Bank to Fitbit Pay (The Netherlands)

Dear Fit Bit Pay responsible,

For all NL users of your Fitbit Ionic, could you please make sure only ONE bank in our country is contracted as soon as possible? Preferably this is ING Bank, the biggest one in The Netherlands with > 8 million (private) clients (= 47% of the population).

Without any Dutch bank the whole feature is useless, so please TAKE ACTION if you want to increase your customer satisfaction that is currently dropping dramatically...

Kind regards,

Maud

The Netherlands.

It's all getting funnier, first Rabobank had FitBit noted as To Be Considered in a list of collaborating smartwatch brands. It looked like they deleted that from their website less then a few days after posting here...

I was searching on the site of Rabobank and now found this YouTube video (screenshot below) explaining how to add a bank card to your smartwatch (still only possible with Garmin) showing the FitBit logo on the drawn phone. Also I tried adding a card to the Wallet, but after filling the requiered data the app errors saying the the data is wrong.

Guess it's only a matter of days/weeks...

Garmin seems to be one step ahead: https://explore.garmin.com/nl-NL/garmin-pay/. I have a Versa that came with Fitbit Pay at no extra cost and I can't use it 😞

I've had contact with ICS about Visa.

They answered it is expected in the beginning of '19 to pay with Visa via Fitbit Pay in NL:

"Ik vind het fijn om te horen dat u via uw horloge met uw ASN Creditcard wilt gaan betalen.

Voorlopig is dat bij ICS alleen nog mogelijk met een Mastercard. Naar alle waarschijnlijkheid wordt de mogelijkheid begin volgend jaar ook geïntroduceerd voor onze Visa Cards. De introductie wordt dan aangekondigd via onze maandelijkse nieuwsbrief en met een nieuwsbericht op Mijn ICS."

Bought the watch when it came out. Was surprised and slightly ticked off that I had to go search why my wallet app wasn't working. Not even a message not available in your country or anything.

In other places you accept Amex but not in Holland. Not even after a long time.

This is why I currently would not recommend fitbit though the product seems good you are failing in the app department.

My vote goes to ing or Amex  Whichever but just do something!!

Please contract Rabobank Netherlands for fitbit pay otherwise this is useless here.

Hello, I'd love the ING bank option

It has been quite some time already, as what I hear the banks are willing to participate, so it shouldn't be so difficult to implement?

Please add ING, Abn Amro and Rabobank

Watch this post on a Dutch news site. ABN is launching, and FitBit will come:

That sounds good! 😎 Several Dutch banks have been mentioned here (e.g. ING, ABN Amro, Rabobank), will they all be supporting Fitbit Pay soon?

Hopefully Rabobank will be supported soon.

Yeah, Can't wait. I mean, the Rabobank wallet app on my phone is fine, but it is one of the main reasons I went for this Versa.

Awesome, thanks!

English translation, in short: as of coming Monday, Rabobank will support Fitbit Pay.
