Pregnancy setting/mode for more accurate data

Necessary:

Logging a pregnancy is a must, as is the ammenorheic period due to breastfeeding.  These drastically affect predictions making the app useless for many.  Eg. I have entered my data since 2011.  My periods are like clock work occurring every 27 days... but I have had 4 pregnancies in that time so the app is telling me that my peiods average every 104 days.

Useful:

Option to add basal body temp and ovulation data (eg. predictor strip).

Yes, Fitbit— what more do you need? Half of the population ovulates, menstruates, and has the potential to become pregnant. What we’re asking for shouldn’t depend on votes. Essentially, your product is not compatible with the bodily changes that happen during pregnancy. Additionally, the existing female health feature isn’t customizable and therefore, is not helpful to those trying to conceive, trying to avoid conception, or simply trying to track/log ovulation and menstruation accurately.

Need to be able to add pregnancy to the female tracker. Only options are for period and fertility. Please update this!!

Wondering if there's been any progress in adding the pregnancy features?

I agree with this idea ! It would also be nice to have the pregnancy calculator tell you the expected date (36 weeks since the first date of your last period)  and maybe, once you added you’re pregnant, you could add symptoms for the pregnancy (e.g. nausea, backpain etc) to make it easier to track - similar to the already available symptoms of a period like breastpain, achne etc.

This is probably the most obvious idea. Why would you have a period option but not a pregnancy option????? I’m 21 weeks and was looking forward to using my Fitbit to track progress. I’ll use another app for that then

Agreed totally crazy you can't at least put your cycle on pause to signal a pregnancy.

What would be even better would be to have adjusted stats. At the moment my BMI appears high because of my current weight.... but that's because I jave a +1 🙂

The biggest thing that makes women different from men is our ability to have children. The app has "Female Health Settings" that is centered around avoiding or creating pregnancy. Why wouldn't it also have an option to log our pregnancy and breast feeding (I loved how another mama mentioned that). I would LOVE to see your app break into this field and I'd be more than willing to be a beta user. Thanks!

Being able to log that you are pregnant could change so much. It would also help with the coaching app. this is my first pregnancy and it would have been nice to have fitness help along the way.

I’d like to see breastfeeding either become an activity and also an area to input that one is breastfeeding/nursing. Mothers that are nursing need more calories than those that aren’t. But many of us we are also working to get our shape back and like the weightless features that Fitbit offers.

Fitbit should have a pregnancy tracker, it is just as important to women as tracking their periods and ovulation.

I recently found out I was pregnant. There is no option to tell the period tracker that you are pregnant. I find it odd that there is no option for this since woman do get pregnant. Even if it is just a feature to turn off the period predictors and then Fitbit can decide to add other features if they wish like ways to keep healthy during pregnancy with diet and modified excercise as approved by the persons doctor.

The ability to change settings to pregnant so that the app can better track whether or not you correctly and safely active and such.

Tracking a period is great in theory but the charge 3 should have a pregnancy feature to be accurate for us pregnant women.

Thank you!

Hi all,

i just looked at the “hot” suggested features and was surprised to see the popularity of requests to add Spotify or increase display times.  It’s shocking to me that those types of convenience feature additions get 7k+ likes, and we have less than 1k for this totally necessary change to the female health status feature.  It looks like the cutoff for when Fitbit decides to introduce a feature is around 1500 likes, so let’s shoot for that!

Im 15 weeks along and would love to track my pregnancy before my little one enters the world.  How about you?

It would be wonderful to have a pregnancy feature/option. Such as the ability to adjust normal weight gain overt the course of the pregnancy and goals to help you stay on track. Post Partum recovery features. I feel like this population/customer gets overlooked however it is very important to myself to have options like these during this period of my life. Please and Thank you

I can not understand why this would not have been fixed already!! This is my third pregnancy with a fitbit. The first one had the option, way back when, to put that you were pregnant from a computer and not the app. That went away for whatever reason, and with my second pregnancy I didn't even look. Now I am finally at a healthy part of my life and would like to make sure I stay that way with this pregnancy,  and yet there is no feature.  Wtf? Fitbit is aware that women do more then menstruate and ovulate, correct? This should have been an automatic feature, not something that we have to vote on.
