Pregnancy setting/mode for more accurate data

Necessary:

Logging a pregnancy is a must, as is the ammenorheic period due to breastfeeding.  These drastically affect predictions making the app useless for many.  Eg. I have entered my data since 2011.  My periods are like clock work occurring every 27 days... but I have had 4 pregnancies in that time so the app is telling me that my peiods average every 104 days.

Useful:

Option to add basal body temp and ovulation data (eg. predictor strip).

I find it crazy there is no pregnancy or breast feeding mode on the Fitbit app. What a missed opportunity to combine all that data! Also sends a clear signals to many of your customers you just don’t get them. I’ve stopped using my Fitbit since getting pregnant. As my watch is quite old now and a bit buggy, I’ll be checking out Apple Watch and other options when I get on it now my baby has arrived and I’ve been signed off to start exercising again.

Pregnancy feature would be very welcome. Heartrate rises, fatigue too, among other physiological changes. If it's possible to estimate oxigen intake during sleep, it should be easy to develop pregnancy features. Even a watch face with images for the baby's size each week, and later a watch face to keep track of which breast was last used for feeding. I've seen such apps for years, so it should be easy to cater to the female fitbit users. Please work on this!

Hello. This is the first TOP topic that has a lot of votes but was not released yet! Any updates on when this is coming? This was raised in 2018 and it is a crucial part of the woman's health tracking! Does not have to be extremely complicated! You can start with something simple, like tracking the weeks and inputting symptoms, then after that you can add with time more improvements. The important thing is at least to have a basic mode for pregnancy so it does not show that you have abnormal periods!

I think that at the very least, it should be possible to exclude the pregnancy and breastfeeding (or actually any time period chosen as even some drugs can mess up the cycle and thus the trends and predicted cycle lengths) from the trend calculations. For example, I have a mostly steady cycle length of about 27-29 days, but due to having two pregnancies and breastfeeding, the average cycle length is now 106 days and the estimated ovulation is on the 93th day, which is absurd and not helpful at all and can be quite frustrating as already said here over and over.

Of course, other features would be nice too while tracking health, calories, heart beat etc during pregnancy or breastfeeding. I think it is crucial that the app takes it into account and I am surprised that this is not done by now.

For those of us trying to get pregnant or pregnant we need to be able to change our status to pregnant so the app understands not to predict periods or ovulation. Also why would you only provide an option to track ovulation tests and not pregnancy tests.

Breastfeeding is a significant journey for many women and effects caloric intake recommendations. This feature would adjust the threshold for caloric intake in your programs for breastfeeding women, to maintain a safe level.

It's ridiculous that you can track your period and ovulation but can't let the app know you're pregnant. Even if you did nothing else, at a bare minimum  you should be able to add a pregnancy so it stops telling me my period is 100 days overdue.

This was changed to "under consideration" in 2018, with the suggestions going back many years before that. We're nearing the end of 2021 and  still don't have the option to even log a pregnancy, let alone all the other great suggestion.

Why is this still only under consideration 3 years on? Come on fitbit! You're letting down a huge part of your client base.

The menstrual health category needs to be broadened to have an option for pregnancy as well. Similar to the cycle tracking feature, you should be able to add a positive pregnancy test, which would change the calculations for menstrual cycle.

So this was originally raised in 2013 and its still not an option? Is there a reason why not? Is it because it would only benefit women and trans men? Hmmm... would love to see an update rather than a generic comment about putting all the info in one place.

It’s 2021 and being able to log a pregnancy is somehow still not a feature. This is insanity, and FitBit should be embarrassed by this.

I’m just so surprised that this hasn’t gotten any headway yet. Just a simple switch to allow us to log if we have conceived so we don’t have to disable female health - which this is part of - but we aren’t constantly asked if our period has started yet.

Yeah, at this point it's not just having a device that is actually useful during pregnancy and breastfeeding, but also the principle of continuing to support a company that obviously doesn't prioritize women's health. Definitely looking into Garmin, for the rest of my pregnancy and breastfeeding journey and beyond. Shame. I've been with FitBit since 2015...

How is this STILL not an option?! It is abundantly clear that Fitbit does not care about this demographic, which is absurd! Maintaining your health and well-being is so important during pregnancy and postpartum. It makes no sense to include features (cycle and ovulation tracking) to enable you to become pregnant, but once you are...sorry 'bout cha. Do better Fitbit!

There should be a setting for pregnant and nursing moms.

As we are living in 2021 its a must that gender equality implies in all domains of society including the features in your app.

I think this is a great idea, but I don't think it should be a separate mode, the information all needs to be integrated. Whether someone has become pregnant, had a miscarriage, taken an abortion pill, or had physical reasons for period changes, this all should be able to be tracked with your symptoms.

Makes things a lot easier personally, and updating doctors - especially when more frequent appointments are a lot harder to get in person these days.

Fitbit should be able to predict pregnancy as my heart rate in rest is higher during pregnancy.

I consider it very women unfriendly that fitbit keeps commenting om my weight, asking about my period OR high lights that I al less healthy because of my heart rate in rest

please add pregnancy modes

The fact that this is the third highest vote getter overall without implementation is insane.  It's over 3 years old with threads dating even further back.  It's been "under consideration" for over 2 years.  Do better fitbit!
