Pregnancy setting/mode for more accurate data

Necessary:

Logging a pregnancy is a must, as is the ammenorheic period due to breastfeeding.  These drastically affect predictions making the app useless for many.  Eg. I have entered my data since 2011.  My periods are like clock work occurring every 27 days... but I have had 4 pregnancies in that time so the app is telling me that my peiods average every 104 days.

Useful:

Option to add basal body temp and ovulation data (eg. predictor strip).

Agree! A pregnant and/or nursing mode would be extremely helpful to those of us striving to stay healthy through both.

My cycle times and predictions are messed since I became pregnant last year.  I am very surprised there is still no solution for this issue seeing as pregnancy is a large part of womens health and it is completely overlooked by Fitbit product managers.  This feature affects half your user base, isn’t that enough reason to put it in the roadmap!?

Yes, I agree. I love the idea of being able to say "I'm pregnant" on the fitbit. Due to being pregnant your activity needs change drastically, and the "recommendations" that pop up could no longer apply. Plus it'd be amazing to have some pregnancy exercise videos!

A vasectomy is an option, but not pregnancy! Unreal.

I understand it is a birth control method, but pregnancy should be an option somewhere!!

It affects so much, the amount of sleep you need, your increased heart rate, increased body temperate, and so much more.

Fitbit needs to get this fixed, it is 2022, and it's been over four years.

It seems like it's been more than long enough and has more than enough votes to be implemented by now.

how has this not been implemented already?! It is a clear case of discrimination

It's outrageous that this is not a feature yet. In what universe would having a detailed period tracking feature be useful if you're going to ignore the possibility of pregnancy??

Add pregnancy tracking to ensure accurate and insightful Fitbit data for expectant mothers. Without knowing a user is pregnant, vital statistics are skewed and/ or incorrect including: weight, heart rate, recommended activity levels, and menstrual cycle length.

First time this suggestion was raised was nine years ago. Users are told to 'give a thumbs' etc. Yet no further development on this has been progressed in that big space of time. Most of the fitbit customers are women I expect, so why put a period tracker in place with no facility to track pregnancy. That decision comes across as fitbit is interested in assisting female customers track their health progress...except when they become pregnant. Then we are not interested. It shouldn't take nine years to develop something as simple, that has been requested for a long time. Hopefully you will see the benefits (&sales) in getting this added to the app.

It is insane that it has been 4 years since this recommendation and this hasn't been added yet. This should be a must for all trackers that deal with menstrual health. Pregnancy affects weight, resting heart rate, caloric intake, and most of all...our menstrual cycles!

Please add this feature. I am mostly tired of my Fitbit trying to tell me that "my period is predicted to start today" for the last 7 months, and not being able to change it or take into account the main reason I have been gaining weight.

Just wanted to mention how much the ability to log a pregnancy, pregnancy loss, and any related features would be amazing!

How many votes does this need to be pushed through ? This is really unbelievable.. 😓

I'm starting to think that Fitbit's programmers aren't up to the task. If that's the case, that's pretty sad. They should hire new programmers and let go of the stale ones who can't keep up with customer trends. I mean, pregnancy has always been a thing, it's never fallen out of fashion... Why haven't they figured this feature out yet!?

At this point, this "feature suggestion" is just an accounting of unhappy customers. Even the terms you agree to before posting state that they may not even review a suggestion.

I'm glad I gave my Fitbit away to a guy, too bad he stopped using it too.

It sure is taking some time to get this resolved… I’ve recently found out I am pregnant and had no idea this wasn’t already a feature seeing as there are so many options to log your birth control, ovulation and mood, etc.

Even my iPhones ‘Health’ app at least has a function to log the start and estimated end date of your pregnancy to turn off period predictions.

I found a small workaround this, it is not ideal but it corrects the messed up average cycle days.  When pregnant, delete all the old period logs and when you get your period again, start the tracking again.

It would be so helpful if they would add a pregnancy feature and nursing feature to the female tracker health app because it will ruin my predictions and numbers for after my pregnancy. Meaning that all my periods and so on that have been logged and have been correct for so many years will know not be correct and my cycle will be all over the place once I start having periods again. I keep trying to cancel my period but it won’t let me and all it does is move it from week to week, which isn’t right. I’ve done some research and the only thing I can see that I’m able to do is turn of predictions so I manually log my period myself but that doesn’t seem right.

according to this, this has been a request that started all the way back in 2014 and Fitbit still hasn’t been able to update to add a pregnancy feature. That seems crazy to me and I’m sure that many people are starting to move to another smart watch where they will be able to add that feature. What’s the point of having a community like Fitbit but not have the company listen to its customers. If a company won’t start listening to their community then will they even have one in the end.

I love my Fitbit but I’m not about to ruin all of my data and have my Fitbit give me advice to lose weight, sleep better, my period is coming, my blood pressure is to high and so much more. Once body changes so much with pregnancy, so I only think that it’s about time a pregnancy feature gets added. It’s 2022 and with the technology we have now, this seems crazy to me that we can’t add this feature already since asking for it since 2014. Fitbit you should start listening to your customers and keep them for good.

This idea exists since 2018, 4 years now and the feature is still not implemented. Countless women use Fitbit and must have gotten pregnant since that time, and yet, the Fitbit app lags behind. I'm a bit of a data nerd and every time I see in the app that "my period is coming anytime" I laugh as I'm almost 8 months pregnant. It's beyond annoying that I can't at the very least "freeze" my cycle so the app stops bothering me about when will be my next period. It's such a no-brainer feature, half the population is female, I can't believe it's taking this long...

I hope, whenever they implement this feature, that they make it worth the wait.

Fitbit should look into fitness and health for pregnant ladies, and look at apps such as flo and other menstrual health and pregnancy apps.

There needs to be a setting for pregnancy. Increasing weight goals and nutritional needs, changes in heart rate and activity levels, changes in sleep, all of these things make a lot of the tracking not super useful for pregnant people and it would also allow for menstrual tracking to change without having to turn it off.

Hard to believe this isn't a feature yet.

Even just something basic like turning off period predictions.

During pregnancy your pulse and body temperature rises. It would be good if the app could considerate this since they measure your condition against a group of non pregnant women.

It's really surprising fitbit still hasn't got this feature since it affects your health in so many different ways and varies between women. Your menstruation cycles and predictions get out of accuracy if you have a miscarriage or pregnancy. So please, take this into consider when and if you develop this. Miscarriages is common, pregnancy too.

"Under consideration" for almost 4 years now... I will not buy a next fitbit if this isn't released.
