Quick Replies for iOS Devices

When will it be availible to reply with iOS for apple users. I noticed Versa can reply to text but it says only for android. I will never switch to android and the reply to text is the only thing that Fitbit is missing. Apple Watch does all the same plus reply to text and taking calls. Big miss on Fitbits part.

The only other brand will be an Apple. This is not unique to Fitbit. Garmin can’t do quick replies for iPhones either because the issue is solely with Apple’s iOS. You can complain to Apple but they’ll say get an iWatch.  Hey I hope Fitbit works something out with Apple one day but this constant slamming of Fitbit is unwarranted. Their hands are tied. Blame Apple.

Yes, I understand the issue. Fitbit as well as community will need push for it and apple will need to provide. Or else we deal with it or move to Apple. Just adding my push for it.

Gave up my Apple watch to return to Fitbit. I have no intention of switching from iPhone. This feature is very desirable for Fitbit/iPhone users.

Count my vote! Yay for replies on iOS.

It’s a bit ridiculous to count votes for something like this. Of course iOS users will want this feature. Given the popularity of iPhones I would think the number of users needed to warrant this design development is inherent. Leaving it up to the small number of users who visit community boards like this to vote is inane, but ok, count my vote. 🙄

Yes, incorporate iOS quick replies! It’s very frustrating that the feature isn’t offered considering it’s quite a hefty investment to make when purchasing and Ionic and not have it be full featured because I use an iPhone.

I was very shocked to find out that this is not compatible with IPhone. It’s 2019! How is this even an issue?  Please fix this ASAP

Hi @Bdcraw and commenters, thanks for sharing this suggestion. Apple operates a closed ecosystem that doesn’t allow us to deliver this feature at this time. For now, we will leave this suggestion open for votes (and closed to comments) so that we can continue to track community demand over time. Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us and we will let you know if anything changes.

I think that there should be an email app on the Fitbit versa. On the Apple Watch it has messages and email it is more expensive but you can also call I thing would should be able to quick reply on iOS . Email. Also make calls if you have a Bluetooth device connected to the watch or just to the phone to call someone. Also if we have a Bluetooth device connected to the watch and we answer the call make it go the Bluetooth device. I am recommending this stuff also to be compatible WITH IOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It looks like this subject was hashed out until 6/2018. However I just got my VERSA  and want to submit my opinion on the topic.  It’s a real safety issue. It reminds me of WAZE where you can quickly and safely submit traffic hazards.  Here you would be able to take care of customers or important family texts so they’d know you will be responding. That’s it! Maybe make it an app or watch face we could purchase?

Thank you for your consideration!

I would like it if the option for quick responding on the versa was available on iPhones, not just androids. I don’t see why it should make a difference. iPhone and androids.

I noticed recently that the status for quick replies for iOS devices has changed from “under consideration” to “not currently planned” however, you are still asking your customers to vote on this feature. Why do we (iOS users) need to vote for this feature??? Isn’t it already a feature for android users, and as far as i know we both paid the same price for our Fitbit products. So why are iOS users getting product with less capabilities? I know you have mentioned that apple has a closed system or something like that which would not allow you to give iOS users quick replies, but if that’s the case then why are you still suggesting that we vote for this feature? You are making it seem as though, if you get enough votes can actually provided this feature. So my question is, can you do it or not? Cause if you can, then just do it (and give us the same experience android users are currently enjoying). But if you can’t then just tell us you can’t and stop asking us to vote. And Thank you very much for reading my comment. 🙂

Quick replies is only avalible on android only. I am wondering if it can also be for IOS.

Hi @Ebird2009 , thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us. This feature suggestion already exists so I’ve moved your post here. At the moment it is not planned to implement it. Nonetheless you can still add your vote.

It would be nice to have the same features as the android devices, for example the ability to be able to use the quick response feature to respond to texts on my iphone. The iphone devices should have the same features as the android on the Charge 3. Can this be updated for the iphone?

Thanks,

Sharon R.

WHEN are you going to be able to reply to texts on IOS???? I won’t buy a Fitbit until this features avaliable, it’s a shame because I do want one but need to be able to reply to texts off my watch.. if not I’ll just have to get an Apple Watch

I got excited when I seen I could edit my quick replies. Turns out quick replies only works if a message is sent through the Fitbit app. Hurry and get it working for other services

At this time I can not send quick replies from my Fitbit Versa. I use an iPhone 8 plus. Had I known that this was an issue I wouldn't have bought the product as my Mother's Day gift this weekend. 😞

Main reason I bought the Fitbit was so I didn’t need to pull my phone out while I’m at work. I work with clients face to face all day and would like the ability to send quick reply’s if friends or family call or text.
