Reminder when Fitbit detects that an exercise ends

When using the manual walk activity, I frequently forget to end/finish the activity .It would be awesome if, using the same logic for auto activity detection, a notification could be generated for a manual activity has not been manually finished, but the fitbit detects has probably been completed.

Not to actually finish the activity automatically, but to prompt the user with "it looks like you've finished your activity 10 minutes ago, is this correct?". Sort of like Netflix's " are you still watching?" prompt.

The Chage 5 has auto pause only for runs. I used this feature for bike rides extensively on the Versa but can't on the Charge 5. Please add this feature for all gps tracked activities.

Yes I've been complaining about this for over a year to deaf ears at
Fitbit. I can't tell you the number of 22hour workouts I've logged - and
there is no way to correct the data on the site. You can change the time,
but it still shows you burned 25000 calories....

Actually, the left button doesn't work for a few days. I tried to clean up, but I can use only the touch buttons.

But today, I went to swim. And I can't stop it. I can't do anything, since the swim function blocks the touch buttons. So now, I'm swimming, since 7 hours. And I still can't stop it. Why didn't you do, what more than four years ago Dvheuvel suggested to do feature ? And others, about forget to finish the walk, and so. Sigh. I love my fitbit, but it had too short life, less than two months (:crying:)

I want/need this feature as well.  It would be helpful if you could have an option that would just give you a small vibration after you've exceeded your goal, to end the workout or keep going.  Almost every time I set the workout duration, I finish up, and forget, and see that my workout has gone on for several hours on the fitbit.    Make it vibrate slightly every 5 minutes or something (as an option) then at least if you've stopped working out you'll receive several actual reminders that you've forgotten, again, to manually end the workout.    Could use this interval to time your splits, or to set pacings, etc.

When using Versa 4 Surfing Exercise the app should be smart enough to know that when you are in the parking lot or at least driving on the road that you are no longer surfing.

Sad that after so many comments about such a basic feature that competitors provide, 5 years later Fitbit has done nothing.  The simplest would be to have a shortcut when the exercise is running, eg one button press pauses, 2 button presses end the exercise.  Autodecting pause is also elementary.

CAN WE PLEASE implement this EASY feature!?? It's VERY easy to forget to "end" your workout session, only to look down hours later and see that you've logged a 6 hour workout. It's ridiculous. Please just implement a setting to "Reminder to end workout at x_____ minutes after your heart rate returns to normal".

Then just have the watch **vibrate** **vibrate** **vibrate** feature when your heart rate returns to 'normal' after x______ period of time. PLEASE!

@agentkh Thanks for the support!  However, the feature should not be based on when the heart rate returns to normal!!!  That may take ages for some people. I would argue for most it does.  It certainly takes longer than the current default reminder.

No, if you are walking, running or most other activities, the watch can tell from the movement. When the body movement changes substantially (and it should not be hard for them to calculate that), the counter should stop. The watch knows when you have stopped taking steps at a certain rate.

At least the watch should give you the option to decide.

Some people may want to keep system as is.

Some people may opt to get a strong vibrating reminder as soon as you stop the exercise (or maybe use the heart rate)

Some people may simply want the watch to stop counting there and then. After all, if it is a temporary interruption, it can count it as a separate exercise, no big deal. Maybe eventually we can be given the option to fuse them.

The software can simply give the options. Once they write the code for it to detect end of activity (which it is already doing), it's just a lines extra to give us the option.

But yes, I hope they listen!
