Research Mode - No alerts

Our research team is seeking to use FItBit in a study, and has not yet selected a device.

 

We need to turn off ALL user-alerting features (watch, app, text, etc). The researchers' concern is that these alerts could change behavior, and the researchers only want to measure behavior.

 

Is such a "research/tracking only" mode available currently? Could it be made available? Would using a 3rd party data aggregator app, rather than the FitBit app, make this possible?

Hello @FrankFulton.

 

Thanks for sharing that suggestion. It is important to mention that in order to get notifications you have to set them up manually and thus, by default, a Fitbit will not vibrate with any of the notifications.
